Thats why i build manifolds to keep the valves next to each other

It works on operating valves, what about burnt out valves or valves stuck open or the valve is buried deep or there is excessive traffic noise? A hundred bucks for a it? Why not have a person just flick on and off at the controller?

You could also teach a fifth-grader how to draw a simple map that indicates where all the things are at the time they're installed.
Matter of fact, that would be a very good thing to teach a fifth-grader!

Just what I need. Any advice on finding the layout of an inground sprinkler system? I want to plant some fruit trees in my backyard, but Im sacred I will end up planting to close or on top of the sprinkler lines.

Typically the sprinkler lines are only about 6 inches in the ground. Mine are around 5-7 in deep. Typically the lines are going to run along the line that the sprinkler heads are laid out. Thanks for watching.

Assume broken wires and bad solenoid are flies in the ointment.

Great idea although I think I've got damaged wires to my valve and I've no idea where the valve is so that probably wouldn't help me. I think for me the hire system is the way to go until it's all fixed up

if all the wires are broken then yes it won't work. I believe there is a tool you can possibly rent in your situation that will help locate them. Otherwise you will have to dig along the buried wire line to find and fix them. It's not hard to replace the wire, the difficult part will be the digging. Thanks for watching.

Yes it was. I was very skeptical about it working but it worked wonderfully. I was very thrilled at how well it worked. Thank you for watching.
