Yes. She can do trading. If income source from your end, called it clubbing of income. If any gains, you have to disclose in your IT. Otherwise wife have any job or business income, she can file it if more than 2.5L earned. Upto 7L no Tax@@ashokkumaryadav3052
things have changed alot with growing technology, as we can have GTT order for any stock in different borkers app such as Zerodha, we dont need to sit infront of screen all the time. Considering this employees should be allowed for swing trading atleast, any sort of day trading may cause problems in work efficiency of that employee but in swing it is quite manageable now. I hope government thinks about this and allow them to do short term or swing trading atleast, they also have kids to feed and they also want to secure better future for them and their kids.

अगर मेरा बेटा या बेटी या वाइफ ट्रेडिंग करना चाहते है तो मैं उन को मना तो नही कर सकता। वो इसी फील्ड में केरियर बनाना चाहते हैं। तो ये बात तो गलत है कि सरकारी कर्मचारी के फैमली मेंबर भी ट्रेडिंग नही कर सकते इस नियम को बदलना चाहिए । नौकरी तो वैसे भी कम ही मिल रही हैं तो अगर बच्चे इस में कैरियर बनाना चाहते है तो किसी को कोई प्रोब्लम नही होनी चाहिए

Sir, why not these rules apply in govt. Companies stocks only ? Why govt. Companies stocks are listed ? Is there any other country where these kind of rules apply ? Is the same rules apply to politicians also ? It's also very strange that where pvt. Sector is encouraging there employees by ESOPS etc internationally, on the other hand here the govt. Imposes baseless & malignant rules on its employees for there legitimate tax paid money spending etc. ? Govt. Should abolish LTCG tax to its employees only !

all states have their own conduct rules hence read your state govt conduct rules.
CCSC rules and AISC doesnt apply to state govt emplyees.

to support my family and own expenses I do freelancing work on upwork, this is noy trading. So I earn money in dollars from my client also I fill tax to govt for that.
