- I've been wanting to test out these Velvet Lip Glides from NARS since they were released so I was super excited to finally test on out with you all! Are they a lipstick? Lipgloss? Or hybrid of both?? Even after testing I'm not quite sure... let's see how it did (((╹д╹;)))

Back in the 70s thru the 90s we used to double blot lipsticks. it really helps to make it stay. then i stopped doing it because someone said it was okd fashion or something like thst . i am back yo doing it . just apply lipstick blot then reapply then blot again. if it has a shinny finish just use a lip brush to put a little thin coat back on . this really works to keep your lipsticks on for hours.

Oh hey, I was wondering if you had tips on how to touch up your foundation and concealer?? I have a 7-3 job, my make up last for about 5 (oily skinned beauty) but I might get a second job at an Ulta for after, don't want to wash all my make up off and reapply, and can't go in to sell make up looking all crazy faced haha
Jade Sneddon hi sorry I'm not Cassie, but maybe you could try using a powder foundation when you re-apply and use a flat headed kabuki so it goes on fast. Then you wouldn't have to remove all of your makeup and you won't need to re-apply a liquid foundation. I'd recommend trying the Hello Flawless powder foundation from Benefit and maybe a matte setting spray, NYX and Urban Decay have amazing ones. I hope this helped a little and if not I hope you find something that works for you 😊

I find Diaphragmatic breathing helped me a LOT with my panic attacks, if you want to check it out. I have practiced it so often that its become second nature. Glad you're feeling better though!

I have this in stripped and bound and I love them. I think you need to think of these as a buttery gloss, not a long lasting liquid lipstick.

Yes! the texture actually reminds me a lot of the NYX butter gloss/NYX butter gloss intense formulas.

I think the more nude/neutral colors of this product works a lot better than the bolder shades. The darker shades bleed and transfer, but the nude shades are stunning!!! "Stripped" is my hg nude lip shade!!
Agreed! I have Bound it is the perfect "my lips but better shade" for me and it doesn't wear off like that but it is not that bold of a color.

I loooove reapplying lipstick. Makes me feel good. Every time I wear a liquid lipstick I'm miserable because if I eat anything greasy at all I can't really reapply it because it chunks off. Bring back the bullet lipstick!!!!
I agree. Also I can't imagine the nasty chemicals responsible for making a lipstick last ALL day.
But then again, it is pretty expensive and reapplying every five seconds would waste product quickly.
Love the liquid lipstick reviews and I'm sooo happy that you're testing more primers. If you start doing those in conjunction with your foundation reviews and trying different mixes of products I'll really be in love with your channel.
I've never commented before and generally don't get the hate you've received. I've seen genuinely terrible RUclipsrs that openly treat their subscribers like crap, and they still don't get anywhere the level of negativity I've seen spouted at you. I get no vibe at all from you or your channel that you're a bad person or don't care about your viewers. Some people seem to take things too seriously. It's makeup, it should still be fun and enjoyable. I like your "Normal Person" outlook Vs the typical Beauty Guru.

I got one of these in my last Sephora Play box and I was all SUPER EXCITE TIMES too! I like it ok, but more because it's Nars and supes cute than that it lasts. Helps that mine was in Bound which is barely a color on me.

Hey Cassie! I was super excited about these too and I tried one of the lighter shades and it looked SO BAD! I had hears so many good reviews and had such high hopes! It clung to dry patches and gathered all gross and wore off and was super sticky so I wasn't a fan at all and returned it. Thanks for honest review! Love your videos!! xx

It reminds me of Jouer's lip products in consistency. Seems like it wears like a standard lipstick. I think we've all just become spoiled with matte long wear lip products. I actually prefer creamy, hydrating, smooth, lip creams to the matte products that tend to suck the life out of my lips. 😉

I have this in the color playpen, and I have to keep it away from my other lipsticks because it makes them feel bad about themselves. I blot it twice so I don't leave a crime scene everywhere throughout the day and it stays put. Don't sleep on the nudes, they're much more manageable!

Omg I got a little sample in my sephora play bag and I LOVED it. It's creamy but not slippery. I did have a more neutral shade so the transfer didnt bother me as much. 😀

I was SO READY for this review~! Everyone has been talking up this lipstick sooo much and I was so tempted to set aside some cash for one. I feel oddly relieved that the lipstick is just average and maybe not something I need to rearrange my budget for. As always Cassie, you're a cutie patootie and your reviews are super helpful!

I suppose this might be one of those products that you have to want what they're selling. I would want something to last a little longer or at least fade a little more gracefully at that price, but that's me. Someone who's OK or even enjoys reapplying all day might find it worth the price, plus with the perks of smell/taste and it being a NARS product. Love seeing you test it, though! Great video!

I got a deluxe sample in my Sephora play box in the color Bound. It's a beautiful color. It is so comfy and smooth but it doesn't last unfortunately. I do have to reapply often. It really does feel great. I'm undecided as well if I would purchase the full size. So glad you reviewed this because I haven't seen a review until yours.
Hey Cassie, I was thinking the other day that you should do the PAW system for products like lipsticks/primers etc and add the S for foundation reviews only. It helps especially for products like primers where the shade range isn't really a thing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was disappointed in this. Got a deluxe sample Lip Glides (color: Bound) in my Sephora Play Box this month, and couldn't believe how much it transferred. I felt like I was non-stop reapplying it. I'd never pay full price for it.
