Now in India without a valid visa, I can't complete the Virtual Landing. Despite raising webforms, I haven't received a PR Visa Request Letter in almost a month. What should I do: 1) Keep waiting for the PR visa request letter, which might take few more months. 2) Apply for a visitor visa, go to Canada, and complete the COPR process at any Canadian airport. KINDLY ADVISE ME ON THIS PLEASE

Hi, on the residency obligation a) could I use a bill for example, just to prove my address and b) do I need (2) copies of residency for all the 5 years that I've been a permanent resident or (2 copies from) any time during these five years? (ex. CRA Notice of Assessment for every year since I got my pr card or one of those years and then another document?)

Hi Mr. Shariq, I'm trying to apply for my PRTD through the PR Portal but stuck at IMM 5444 section 5- Residency Obligation. It kept saying "Your changes cannot be saved. Please try again later." It's really difficult to fill up this IMM 5444 through the portal even after following their instructions. It's very frustrating and stressful.

We understand that applying the PRTD can take a long time so after I watched your video, we may think of going to USA then come back to Vancouver via private car. My question is even my wife's US visa expires in 2028, will she not be allowed to enter US, say Seattle? Can we just tell the US immigration the true story that her PR card has expired? If she can successfully entered US, how big the chance is her coming back to Canada via road transport? Can she apply H&C in this case as no one is looking after our daughter when I am away for a business trip. Your prompt reply is greatly appreciated.

Hello Shariq So my case is I wanted to call my father who was a landed immigrant in May 1996 and than in Oct 1999.but due to some personnel matter he went back to Home Country Pakistan. I wanted to apply for visit visa .but then we stopped as the visit visa documents were asking about his previous visit to Canada. So than we go for verification of status and through Secretary of MPP Ajax we were told to apply for PRTD.as his status is still active . Can you able to help me out what is PRTD. is it feasible to call my father on PRTD. Thanks Taha
PR status is not cancelled until a written declaration is made. So he still has a status. PRTD can be applied, they may make an assessment and say that he ha snot met residency requirements and he can be allowed to enter Canada once for an appeal. If there are compelling reasons that let him not return back as PR he may be allowed to re-instate his PR as well. My family lives in Canada at the same address I gave to the officer while soft landing and we're all waiting for my card (since they already have their cards, I was the only one who was out), it has passed almost 6 months but no Card yet, they asked for new photos in Sept, I sent it and I'm still waiting for it but I'm already worried about (since I can't find any info about my pr card status on CAS) so I'm planning to apply for PRTD next year since my plan is to come back at the end of 2023 (December). My question to you is: considering the fact that I'm planning to come back in Dec/23, how earlier do you recommend me to apply for the PRTD (since I'm also waiting for my PRCard so it'd not be good to start applying now). In most cases it takes few weeks ( 2 - 8). Always best to check with the local Canadian embassy for more precise processing time. I would suggest applying few months before Dec 2023, right now its too early. Plz support the channel by subscribing and liking :)

At least, they said my case is still processing, this was my main concern, because I never could find my info on CAS (by using UCI or case number). you can for sure travel back to canada, but will need PR card or PRTD to travel back to Canada. PR landing email confirmation must be done by the deadline date.

No... in that case you arnt a PR. And that's the first eligibility requirement for PRTD

You need PR card if you are a Canadian permanent resident. Otherwise you need some sort of entry visa

PRTD is only for those who have landed and activated their PR already.

people do pretty commonly. But CBSA officers can do residency requirement check on anyone entering.

The processing times varies between 2-4 weeks on average. So better check with the canadian embassy in the country that you are travelling to.

You cannot board the flight for Canada in that instance. There is the option of applying for urgent processing on PRTD
