I took your advice from a year ago and purchased the Acer Chromebook 15 on sale for $319.99 at Staples. Love it. Can't beat it for the price. Keep up the videos and the informative reviews.
Thank you very much for all your content on Chromebooks. I love my 3 year old chromebook and I watch your show a lot since I'm in the market for an update.
Vince Hausmann here are some of the best Chromebooks at each price point: $999 - Google Pixelbook - Best of the best $749 - ASUS Chromebook Flip C434 - An awesome Chromebook but it isn't cheap $499 - ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 - The previous model of the C434 but it still is one of the best, will get updates for a long time $349 - $399 - Acer Chromebook 15 - A nice laptop with a touchscreen $>250 - Samsung Chromebook 3 - It's okay, but I recommend getting a nicer laptop. Take a look at the Acer Chromebook 15.
Something to me that is a little sad about ChromeBooks is that they all seem like they have the same keyboard. I wish that there were different keyboards for different ChromeBooks so there would be other things to try out! I know there are some ChromeBooks that have different keyboards, but for the most part, the ChromeBooks all have the same keyboard.
Hi ! Thanks for the review. I wondered if you could make a video for camera details. You never mentioned camera in your review and that's an important point. For example the pixelbook vs MacBook vs gslate... Thanks again for your work 😉
I got the Samsung Chromebook Plus when it was on sale for $300. It truly is amazing. Beautiful form factor and great price. It handles everything I ever need or have to throw at it. It is fun to use and the screen is really nice and bright with a nice touch screen. I have just had a lot of fun with it and feel like I got a really good deal.
I got myself one and loving it so far. However, I can't seem to get Google Assistant to work on this device. Is it just me or this device is still not supported?
Hey Chrome Unboxed, I'm interested in buying a chromebook. I'm looking for a chromebook that has a really good battery, and good performance (at least smooth animations and such). I don't care about things like display. The less pixels it has, the smoother it will work right? A good brightness level would be preferred though. Any recommendations?
Is .2 how many years it lasts before it craps out? I'll take my Samsung which may sacrifice a few features for the price point, but I can readily expect 5+ years of use out of it.
Thanks for the video! So gaming on laptops is important to me and alot of people. I would like to see how well it can stream games (say using Moonlight perhaps) and maybe even some local Android games. Also I'd like to know how well chrome remote desktop preforms for example if I wanted to do some coding or graphic design or modeling I'd like to know how well that performs on this machine.
@@432wheels nah, I mean even add play store onto my cloudready experience. I still don't think they can justify price over 150USD. Especially the major Chromebook lineup all the way up to 300-400USD price still rocking with eMMC, it just disgusting.

Bought the Samsung 12.2" 32GB Multi-Touch Chromebook Plus V2 on sale for $300 recently from Samsung and I literally hate the damn thing. Though two different operating systems, I ordered the Huawei 10.8" Mediapad M5 64GB Tablet and I couldn't be happier.
Chromebook would be good if they did not have a experation date of 5 years or so ..Best just to get one and put like PrimeOS on it , Can get most of the apps and functions with that and the OS will last longer .
I remember when $250 was high price point for Chromebooks. A bit disappointing to me as the value of Chromebooks have gone down compared to windows machines. Still a nice looking Chromebook. I'm thankful I grab the Lenovo flex 11 for $270 when they had major sale.
@@apodexse dude, YOU need to relax... 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I was kidding about the fingerprints! At that price point, if it is any good at all, fingerprints are a small concern, and easily overcome as you pointed out.

I find the Chromebook, for the price, goodly intriguing. However, I had to dislike the video due to how you sounded rather bored/disappointed while describing the device, while also being somewhat vague about the specs (ram/storage/etc.), as though you didn't do any research over the product (am aware that you mentioned that you had done an article over it previously). I don't expect you to be cheery about everything you review, but I got the vibe of "this is crap, but I'll review it I guess" (aka: meh) No offense intended, just stating my opinion. I like that you're reviewing it, for not many You-tubers seem to bother with the cheaper computers unless they're niche devices.

A touch screen too ??
Seems like a pretty legit package if you ask me! Especially at that price point
Target has the $250 full HD, touchscreen, Backlot keyboard, 15 inch Acer!
