Hey.. I was using nintendo switch simulator here and running the unofficial version of Story of Seasons. This was actually the Japanese version and I installed the English mod (at that time the English version was not launched yet), so that’s why the text was not perfect. If you play it on Nintendo Switch or PC (Steam), you won’t see that cut-off text
when the girls treating me (girl) as their romantic interest is really disturbing for me, i cant have gil bestfriend anymore like in the PSP backto nature :"( so sad i cant enjoy the game to the fullest. BTN for Girl has the best love story, i catch a feeling while playing that game lmao the story is too sweet with doctor, gray, but too bad cant continue the game after marriage (T_T) I wish SOS FOMT has the ability to turn off the same gender, like.. if you finally decide to marry the same sex, u need to give special flower to activate the romantic system otherwise the game continue like it was.
While I’m happy that the game is inclusive, I agree with what you said. I simply adore HM BTN for Girl and was very sad when it just ended after marriage :(. It has the best stories and truly made us feel the connection between Claire and the bachelors. I even straight up searching for fanfic & fanimation afterwards lmao. I agree that there should’ve been an option whether we want to romance the same sex candidates or just view them as best friends. Although I’m glad that Marvelous is finally being inclusive.

The GAMEBOY version is also has those mistakes.. The girls are treating Claire like romantic interest even tho you can't marry them. Its like they're just copy paste the game from boy version😂😂 The girl propose to the boys lmao. You should try play rune factory 4!! its a good love story too.. its final fantasy harvest moon. The boys can ask you to marry him by triggering proposal events, and the character are much aliveeee, they have so many dialogue lol

And yeah they should’ve implemented the option whether we want to be able to romance both genders or just want to be good friends with one… The dialogues would’ve been more relatable to me that way. I also find it more interesting and engaging that the boys actually propose to Claire in HM BTN for Girl, while here in SOS FOMT we have to propose to them even if we’re playing as the girl (I mean, yay for girl boss behavior but I still miss the good ol’ romance from the boys taking initiative😂). I tried playing RF4 but I just couldn’t get hooked into it even though I like the animation and dialogues… The characters are all way too childish for me :( Especially playing as Frey, most bachelors look waaaay too young!

BUT the MFOMT already has much more cooking recipe and gems like ruby, topaz ametyst, emerlard, teleport stone, sand stone, kappa jewel, marry gourmet lol, unlike harvest moon BTN... some character from BTN are missing such us Kane the photographer, Greg the Fisherman, Louis the Bee honey old man... you can marry kappa, won, gourmet too. the marriage life like usual...in boy version you can decide whether your wife still can work helping usual job or stay at home only :)))) Many event too.. all the system in MFOMT gameboy are available in SOS MFOMT hehee
