I come from a priest family.. My father is a main priest at a temple. He prepares very good puliyogre and Pongal. He was very excited TO WATCH U . I was happy to cast u on TV and it was an episode to be remembered for long time.. probably most of the vegetarian people would love this.Thank you..
I am basically Maharashtrian but was in Benglur for 3,4 years.. Puliiogere is the dish we really relished there.. The puliogere Prasadam that you get in any Temple is so divine.. Miss Puliogere badly now in Delhi
I'm a Tamilian from Bangalore. I'm living in North America since last 35 years. The only reason I will come back to settle in Bangalore post retirement is this Channel. How many days I've been sitting/salivating watching his channel. God Bless Food Lovers channel🙏🏻
I stayed in melukote while doing engineering for extensive survey project. Subbanna served us 3 times meals still I can't forget that taste. He did lot of recipies for us like puliogre , pongal, kashi alva, pulao much more recipes. Thank you for reminding my old memories
Its not only about the food sir. The stories behind the food and their experiences makes me more happy. Iam a fan of your stories (video is a small word i feel)
Hi sir the way u express after first byte will get mouthwatering to me ... really great sir... iam from Andhra but I am learning kannada by listening to ur voice....
Dear Kripal, This is called as traditional food. I am happy to see that you were so humble to give this respect to all the Food lovers and the food itself.
*This week, itself tried Sakara Pongal for the first time and it is indeed Bliss 😇* *Kudos to Mr Shankaranarayana for keeping the centuries old Recipes Alive and hope Bhargava is the next Torchbearer* 🙏
Hi, I am from Kochi Kerala, but Puliyogra is one of my favourite dishes from Karnataka. Its started when i done my Pharmacy from Tumkur Siddaganga College. Thank you Sir, for remembered me Puliyogra 🙏🏻✨️👍🏻
I just love this channel 😍 ...I have been watching this from 1 year ...it is great to watch and know more about Karnataka food Staying in Karnataka didn't know many of those restaurants, sweet marts , dhabas ... thanks to kripal amana sir
The way you described the taste in the coconut made me feel like I was eating next to you.. The way you describe the taste and the ingredients is inspiring... In the world of smart phones when people are having mobile phones as a side dish, your videos inspire us to focus on the plate we savour...
Srimaan shankarnarayana was very modest and hats off to the depth of knowledge he has in what he is doing. ಪುಳಿಯೋಗರೆ is really under-rated. I still remember those temples who used to serve puliyogare prasadam satisfied my hunger many times.
Omg, this simple food and the way the owner has maintained the simplicity of the centuries and yet comes out with the most delicious dishes, my mouth’s watering!! Learned a few things watching this. Kripal the fact that you have warmed up to the local lingo and Kannada! Lovely! This shows that we dont need to add onion garlic for every dish, which is the case with most restaurants today. Keep up the tours of places like this!!
Kripal, no meal can beat the satisfaction of South meal on banana leaf, that too if it is bhrahmin meal it's heaven 😋 next time when I visit melulote I will go here for sure
These are the kind of people who are scarce in the world. Money is not everything. Preserving our traditions is important. Good to see how proud they are to transfer down their knowledge down their generations and hope it is preserved. Kripal Sir, i really need to thank you for bringing out all these hidden gems. Would love to visit these places one day

I am indebted to you Kripal. Almost ten years back I was in Melukote, and I was staying in a government Inspection bungalow. Lunch was arranged at the bungalow and take away food was served. I was not expecting anything special. But the food surprised me. To say I was blown away by the taste of the food is understatement. I am now more than convinced I was served food from this mess. I kept trying to find out the place and had given up. But as soon as I read the title of the episode, I was smiling from ear to ear.
So many times I went from Bangalore to Mysore I never wento eat there only I wento Temple this time I will specially go to Melkite to eat thank u for sharing
Kripal ji, Puliyogare & sakkara pongal are made for each other. Mouth watering! Wish I were there with you to taste those stuff with your mellifluous voice!
Great work sir, one thing I noticed because of your work younger generation getting to know and also making them, keen to visit these kind of food eateries which carries our great ancient heritage of food culture followed by our grandfather's 🙏👏
While going through a book Poison for Breakfast by Lemony Snicket, a thought passed my mind how we have gone into a self- destruct mode by adopting fusion foods, foreign cereals etc abandoning our age old healthy traditional foods. I am not against momo or street food culture but the way we are fast losing our traditional food culture is something food vloggers and foodies must act quickly and restore our food traditions. Corn flakes ,oats or breads etc are not equal to idlis, upma or parathas. Kudos to you for trying to review and revive our Indian food culture so passionately and lovingly that should make everyone realise how we are fast losing our traditional foods to imported culture. Request you to keep sharing and showing more traditional foods for our future generations. 🙏🙏🙏🙏😷😷😷🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
There is some beauty in seeing Kripal Sir eating. The way he eats by looking at the dish affectionately and slowly taking it and placing in mouth and that sense of fulfillment in his eyes after taking first byte. Just wow.😍
Hi Kripal: thanks for telling us about this Subbanna Mess. Your description of the food was spot on. Amazing food and Mr. Subbanna was very hospitable & happy to hear that we visited his Mess because of your review. Thanks for introducing us to an amazing oota place.
