Hello Friends! Check out this awesome air pump from NICREW! One thing to add is YOU CAN RUN IT PLUGGED IN like a normal air pump. I was over focused on the mobility / battery power features and forgot to mention this aspect in the video. So it's actually even better than I thought!
If you enjoyed this video please leave a like and subscribe if you haven't already! Many thanks for watching!

I forgot to say how quiet it is when I reviewed it. Fail. 🙄
Definitely a step in the right direction and a nice piece of kit to get excited about though.

Can confirm these are great and if you attach one to a proper air stone brick you'll be amazed how much air this produces. Also like to mention this isn't just battery powered, it can be constantly connected to mains via any standard USB port. I upgraded all my extension blocks in fish room to one's with USB plugs built in as well as mains plugs! Freed up loads mains plug sockets! Fish room virtually silent now with full battery back up for all my tanks filtration as I use sponges in all! Absolutely best bit of kit in years and years! Great vid BTW, loving this channel.

Thanks yes you're absolutely correct it can be mains powered. I figured that out after I uploaded the video but forgot to mention it later on.

Not seen this. I've not got any usb air pumps and I've seen some of those tubular ones .I wondered how good they are but wow. I do like this idea with the battery. You could have one in backup with a sponge filter that does both in an emergency. Transportation in a bucket with the belt clip. Seems they thought of everything. Like it and you're right it's way more modern looking.

Looks like a nice air pump alright, I really like the ability to change the rate on it. I use the really cheap USB air pumps that are a cylinder shape connected to a power bank with pass-though charging. That works great for me to protect against power outages. Extra tip on the cheap USB air pumps, remove the resistor under the rubber case to make it run super-efficient ,0.1 watts!(bigclivedotcom did a vid on it)

I think the clip on the back of the pump is to hang on the aquarium even though it probably would vibrate but pretty sure thats what its for just like the portable air pumps you can buy at Wal-Mart.

If they could do a battery powered fish tank heaters then I would be inpressed.

The air pump is neat and has it's uses i like the clip but if there's a power outage for anymore than a day your fish are going to die of the cold no matter what air pump you have. Unless you have a generator.

Yeah you can also get large battery packs which kick in when the power goes out but they are expensive. However you could plug a heater into one of those

I really don't see the point of this kind of extra equipment that is battery powered for an aquarium? I have my tanks connected to a UPS power back up that is sold for computers etc. First, it cleans up the incoming power and has excellent surge protection for all of the electrical equipment connected to the tank. Second, in the event of a power failure of any kind, including flickering and brownouts, which can kill expensive filter pumps easily and cause restart failures, there is no power shortage to the tank equipment. Third, if sized and set up correctly, it can maintain normal operation of the tank for several hours. They are not very expensive insurance. You will need a power bar in any case, preferably with surge protector which a UPS would eliminate. A reasonably sized UPS for the average hobbyist's tank would be about $100 and it works automatically, everything continues to operate without any worries. I have used this setup for many years now without an issue of any kind.

@@EverydayAquarist been thinking, do you really want a portable air pump that has touch screen on/off, it would just be turning on/off everytime something touched it.. prob the reason mobiles don't have a touch on/off
