      @@nickmcvicker3091 It's because of the Bigsby, it's not supposed to bend very far (but in this song it's fun too bend far with the harmonics 😝) A well set-up Gretsch wouldn't, but mine isn't well set-up.

      Ethan Watts Music yeah I use a PRS Floyd Rose custom 24 and a Fender performer Jazzmaster with the stat tremolo system. Both hold up crazy good on heavy bends but dang that Gretsch has such a great tone!

      @@malachiskelly3919 yea I agree. The effects make those pulls resonate like that. I mean you can do all bunch of all those sort of pulls that the upper guitar is doing in on a strat or an ibanez etc....too much credit given on those toyish gretsch guitars lol...

      Might be able to sneak it above the nut? Gonna be a different sound, but could pull a similar enough to cut it if you don't have the same bridge style as these bigsby guitars.

      If you take a slide and put it around the second pickup on the D string with a little pressure, you should get that sound

    Very helpful, what I did since I’m the only electric player is tuned to drop D and then Capo 1 which allows you to go between the two guitar parts without losing the low Eb note on the turnaround and you don’t have to retune the entire guitar.

      If you're a guitarist, a Gretsch is like a star head screwdriver in your toolbox. When you need it, it's the exact tool for the job, and nothing else can do what it does. Gretsches rules!

      I actually just got my first Gretsch this past week, and lucky for me it was a 59 sparkle jet. I had no idea how much I was missing out, and I’m used to playing higher end American made guitars. But good God, Gretsch is on a different planet!!

    Gretch fans, might consider the Schecter Coupe. Tesla filtertrons, bigsby, roller bridge, graphtech nut, mine stays in tune remarkably well with good setup and lunrication.

    Thanks David and Joey, can't wait to play this in church once the lockdown is over! I always was so blown away by that epic tremolo volume swell effect. I have been trying to figure how to achieve that sound since Here Again but so far not really successful haha 😅😂
    Any pointers?

      David Anthony it sounds to me like the effect might only be on the reverb/delay trails

      Hey David! Great question, some of what you're hearing might be coming from the loops as well. Our producer Aaron Robertson added some crazy tremolo sounds with some virtual instruments. For this song I'm only using tremolo on the choruses. But in the past I have used a tremolo pedal hooked up to an expression pedal to control the rate.

    The TV Jones pickups. hand wired, was a great idea, , I have one, a Black Duo Jet, kind of outgrew it, do not care for the Bixby, or the toggle switch tone adjust, and they have went up in price, so they are selling them no doubt, selling mine.

      No. I'm using a 7 string John Petrucci BFR Musicman with the Dream Catcher and its absolutely huge sounding. Plus with 7 strings you can pretty much handle nearly all of these guitar parts at once which pans out nice since I'm the only Electric player.

You can check out my rig rundown here for my signal chain: ruclips.net/video/VUPB7ECniIw/видео.html For dirt on this song I have my Jackson Bloom and J Rockett .45 Caliber on all the time and then kick on my Jackson Broken Arrow for the bigger parts. For most of the song I have a simple hall verb on my Big Sky and switch to the cloud setting for the more ambient parts. I hope this helps!

      David: Low drive, Medium Drive, Reverb and a tremolo,
      Signa: Medium Drive, Reverb and delay (quater note) well that's what i heard

      Whew Gaming TV top Guitar is in drop D standard tuning with a capo on 1st fret (same as open Eb). Bottom Guitar is tuned down a half step.

      Double-cut centerblock is a kemper (just got one myself and is literally indestinguishable from real amps in context), Silver Duo Jet is through an HX stomp. I would love to know what the guy on the top screen was using for a profile (marshall plexi???).... Bottom screen sounds like an AC 30 to me.
