Helmholtz Israel: Climate Change Agricultural Innovation & Adaptation - Declaration of Collaboration

On 19 October 2020 the expert discussion and declaration of collaboration in "Agricultural Innovation and Adaptation to Climate Change", jointly initiated and organised by the Helmholtz Israel Office and the Volcani Research Centre took place via live stream from Israel, declaring research cooperation with two of Helmholtz renowned research centres FZ Jülich and UFZ Centre for Environmental Research. Both Germany’s Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Julia Klöckner and Israel’s Minister of Agriculture Alon Schuster attended the event, officially extending the bilateral agreement, signed in 2012, for cooperation in the area of “Scientific-technical cooperation in the area of research on Agriculture and Nutrition”.
