You've lived such a storied life!! I'm 29 and i've basically sat in my room my whole life, I hope that I can experience as much as you have one day.

Hey,you can do almost anything you set your mind to,take this moment, and the way David inspired you, take that energy and march forward, the world is there for you to explore. When I was 29/30 that's when I was touring the world playing music, and my son was born. You're still a spring chicken kid, don't let anyone or yourself hold you down. Remember this, life really does start at 50,up until then you are just doing research.😁👍

Get out of that room and expand your horizons! You have talents that need to be used and expanded.
You're still young and should have the energy to go out and have an adventure or two. Go for it!

Read the book misery. My cousin Jessica is in her 20s... Still at home... It's complicated... But I in no way blame my cousin for still living at home... I honestly believe she hasn't been given a chance to leave! How could she? (Use you imagination 😅) ... I have a proposal for society that when someone turns 18- the government should provide a small 1 bedroom to anybody who wants to leave their birth home. I was kicked out on my 18th birthday... I have a wife and live on my own... But I admit... I went through too much too soon... Delaying adulthood ain't so bad 😮

Start by volunteering for a nonprofit group. Do it while you're still young!! You need to get out of your room. Don't be afraid.
When I started college my parents forced me to live at home. It was horrible. They restricted my whole life.
I couldn't stand it any longer so I applied for a transfer to a college across the state. On my 21st birthday I left home on a bus with a few clothes. I had never lived away from home before and had no work experience. My parents refused to help me when I left, so I had to get a job as a waitress, then cleaning houses while going to school. Best thing I ever did. Gave me confidence. I know it's harder these days. Your goal is to get out of the house either with part-time job or volunteering. Good Luck to you. Don't be afraid.🍀🍀🍀🍀

While I am sad your card company lost out to a big fish, at the same time I'm glad or else we wouldn't be here watching your documentaries and looking at the photos that you send out each day. Every day I do two things religiously, say my prayers and look at your daily installment and read your comments. Thank you, Mr David Hoffman, film maker.

Such a shame! I'm really sorry that happened David, that one sure sounded like a very tough lesson to have learned, also to have learned it the "hard way" (for lack of a better term!)😉 Unfortunately for me I've kept quite a few seemingly lucrative concepts of my own stowed away for many years in fear of a similar outcome✌

Deja Vu. That same company did nearly the same thing to a friend's greeting card startup 20-25 years after yours. He invested a lot of time and money into developing a brand with several lines. Went to _"the"_ tradeshow. There was some interest from that company, but surprise surprise it fell apart. Then they started putting out what he considered to be his IP.

They still wear the dark suits. All of them. I worked in information technology for an advertising agency and we pitched something to them, and I setup the presentations. As soon as you mentioned dark suits and Hallmark, I got a chill up my spine. I remember like it was yesterday. Saddest part of all, this is Hallmark town. 100% accurate, you can't make up those dark suits....

This just once again shows how this countries laws are written and directed to protect the rich corporations. I've invented a few things that I thought would be a benefit to people. I showed one to a tool company salesman, he took pictures and a few years later it was on the market. I got nothing out of it. Since then as I develop something I just tell the people asking me about the item to go ahead and steal the idea, but if you're a good person give me 10% and I'll be happy. Haven't seen a penny, but I haven't seen the items on the market either. I do think my ultralight gators would go over though.

So much for the American Dream. A good example of how America really works vs what "they" want us to believe. This story really bothers me. It reminds me of Ben & Jerry's Ice-cream. They started in Burlington VT with a small corner store and grew into a large successful enterprise. They were forced to sell out to a large corp. The owners didn't want to sell. I don't remember the details, but they could no longer hold out against the big guys. The owners managed to maintain some control over the board of directors.
I don't see this as David's fault. The 1% of the population that owns over 90% of America's wealth controls finances. The majority of small businesses never reach the size of GE or Proctor & Gambles. The variety of products are stolen ideas from the little guy.

Another stolen idea is the different speeds on windshield wipers. I don't remember all the details. Not sure if the inventor had a patent. Can't remember which car manufacturer stole the idea. The inventor sued the large car company. It took many years in court. I think the inventor won over the car company, but died before it was all settled. (Sorry, don't have time to look up the story.)

Reminds me of when Activision stole artwork from 3 independent artists; one of 'em a former employee who made it for a competitor to Call Of Duty Warzone. They think they can get away with anything.

You certainly have dabbled in quite a few endeavors over the years. As soon as I saw those cards, I instantly thought about Shoebox greeting cards, yes they still have the line. After calling your lawyer, I wish you would have decided to sue the pants off of them!
On a side note: I don't believe you saw my reply on a community post and it is certainly important enough to repeat. I DO have notifications turned on for your channel and other channels. However whenever you, or any channel post on your community page or post a short video, we never get a notification for either. The only way a subscriber will see those is in their streams or if they take the time to go looking for them on your channel. A good example would be this video, I received the notification about you posting the video, however I did not get one that you posted it in your community as well. I enjoy your community posts so I go on your channel and look for them. Of the 4 you posted today, I have only seen 1 in my stream. Also, on certain tablets you cannot see any community posts, if you click on the community page it will say: not available on this device. That information was worth repeating for you!
