Kinda the issue when buying used sports cars, especially mustangs, chargers, Challenger's, cameros. You don't know how well the prior person took care of it and you don't know if the repairs were done the correct way. You might have got a deal but now you're also dealing with a headache. Honestly if you can, buy a sports car new, you'll save yourself headaches like this or find a good mechanic that is known for working for on stuff like this and wont rip you off.
Make sure you check the rear end fluid because the years 16-18, GM didn't put enough fluid in and many people had to replace the rear end....I changed mine when I got it at 36k miles and it was black, low and a lot of metal ..now at 71k miles its popping and snagging... bought a brand new one from GM at 2000$ which i will install myself (GM wanted to charge me 1050$ for labor....um nooo.).
@@sugerhitman1295 I got my transmission fluid flushed and refilled twice. small metallic flakes in the fluid. techs from both shops told me it’s not horrible but definitely not maintenance that I want to prolong. I’ll get the rear end fluid (diff fluid?) checked as well. when I got the multi point inspection I was told all fluids were checked and the car had no issues besides the trans. which is good!
@@kuro_ltg5222 My Carfax said the same thing that all the fluids were checked. I work as a professional mechanic...after reading about so many owners having issues with their diff, I decided to check mine....It was low (half a quart), burned and plenty of metal ...same with my 4 banger Camaro which I did due to the cold morning "groan"...It was low, black with metal shavings....Don't always trust other people working on your car, including the Stealership.
@@zapzap562 It’s really hard to hear on camera but trust, you can hear it when you drive it. I already have a plan of correction in place, I’m working on it fam
Sometimes the manuals don’t wanna be saved😭
@@sleepydeepy1284 the manuals are always looking to be saved, that’s why they find me 🤓

My trans fluid was clean in both cars however.

Idk man, transmission sounds completely fine but could just be the lower youtube audio quality.

Camaros comes with tr6060 trans or unless your going to downgrade to a t56
Check the rear end fluid...Do not trust the Dealership to do it.
