I spent almost 10 years with lower back pain following an injury. While the original insult healed, I had lower back pain intermittently due to poor hip mobility. A few days of stretching relieved pain I've had for years (not these specific stretches, but these should work just as well)!
I thought this was gonna be about working your glutes for lower back pain. 😂 (I’m a cyclist with poor posture. One IT band pulls on my hips a lot and makes my sitting posture terrible at work. Kickbacks and Bulgarian split squats have helped my lower back (L4) a ton!)
Tom I've lost 90% of my pain! Only at the end of an active day i start to feel it but by then its time to rest anyways. I do be walking around thinking somethings different, somethings missing - the pain is gone!! I can only describe it as stepping out of a old car and now i ride a new one. I just got to keep at it for longevity so when im 95 i can freak people out with my legs behind my head . Jk 😂 Btw much much better than the "duluxotine" the doctor prescribed. The side effects for me are awful. Had to stop first week. Doctors don't care. He just didn't care. Which is a shame because thsts his job.
I've been thinking about doing your program, but am not sure if this would benefit me right now as I'm overweight (5'6" 260LB, I also live in the same country as yourself). So my question is, should I lose some weight first or would it be a good idea to do your program?
I had to get after my glutes as i am bone on bone in my hips and with a low back degenerative disc issue causing terrible sciatica down both legs. My hip flexors causes the bone on bone - they’re tight and won’t release- my outer quads are hard and rigid as well - over reaction to protect i suspect
I have a question that isn't about hips (sorry) it is about shoulders. If you can't move your arm above your head by yourself without help, but it doesn't have pain and can also lay on shoulder without pain. Is there something that can help with making the arm more mobile again? (Lifting up shed door that fell off picked up door and pushed as hard as possible to get it put back on and heard crackling noises and shoulder. Arm was slowly loosing mobility before that.
Yep, it could take you upwards of 30 minutes doing it to get it to decrease in sensitivity but the more you practice it the faster you’ll get at getting it under control, definitely check out the attached video
@@TomMorrison Thank you for the answer, I watched the video. I totaly agree with you when it comes to mobility, my first PT reccomended me to not do any flexion or extension therefore I developed kinesiophobia, thankfully I went to the second PT and he said please try to move like a normal person, but i still have problems with flexion. Do you recommend doing the mobility routine before or after core strenghtening excersises? Thank you, awesome content!
@@TomMorrison Hi Tom, regarding the stack system comment, it was just something you said about where the issues come from, I remember reading a book by Gray Cook where he mentions a stack system where the joints are essentially stacked on top of one another and the problems can usually be found below. On a side note can I ask, are you doing any sessions or available for one-to-one assessments of any kind? I could really use your help bud, really. My posture, mobility and flexibility are really tight/restricted and I get pains and problems as a result. I could really use some direction and guidance as I'm all out of ideas, thanks. I live in Belfast but open to anything. Cheers.
I’m currently only doing online stuff but there’s a call option on the site would be good to talk over where you’re stuck and hopefully give you some insight on what to focus on 😄
Thank you for your free help on this platform. You have help me greatly Tom And Everyone. Happy New Year 🎉🎊
It’s important stuff to know! The general advice of rest and painkillers is a serious gateway to having recurring problems all the time
@TomMorrison Absolutely!
You have the best demonstrations! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! definitely check out the attached video!
@@TomMorrison I will - I hope you have a wonderful day!

Tight hips put so much pressure on everything yeah!
Thank you keep up the great videos ❤
Thank you! Will do! 😄😄
Good idea👏🏼. I noticed having a relieving sensation in my lower back anytime I do the resting squat for some minutes 👀
Yes it’s similar to that and less pressure in the spine this way, would be good to do this before going into your squat
@TomMorrison I gotta do this in the morning too. It's concise too👍🏼
Love this it make so much sense when you explain it! Thank you!💖
You're so welcome!
Thank you Tom. Always having lower back pain especially when not working out. I am worried for when I get older🙈
Gotta build up the strength now as much as you can, make movement a daily thing that you’re always aiming to progress
Thanks for the reply Tom, much appreciated. I am doing SMM would that be enough or should I mix it up with other movements.
My (relatively minor)lower back pain was relieved greatly just via unfucking my hips. Good luck!
😁 Hello Again! Where have you been??? Good to see you here with the awesome advice! Thank you ! 😊
Welcome back! Yes the algorithm seems to be being weird the past while!
Great tips Tom.
Thanks 💪🏼💪🏼

Yes lunges and bridges are magical! You should check out our multi directional lunges video, loads of those hit your glutes like you wouldn’t believe!

Great news!! Yes never forget how bad it was, use it as the motivation to keep consistent!!
Boyyoiyoi, thanks for the tip!
Any time! 💪🏼💪🏼

You could give this one a try first and see how you get on!! ruclips.net/video/IRWr3c7F0yw/видео.html
I wish I was as strong as those jeans. as durable and chill
Gotta go fran denim if you wanna move well 💪🏼

Strengthening your hips overall will help things release, sometimes there are areas that tighten up due to weakness elsewhere

Have you had your neck MRI’d? Sounds quite sinister, would really be getting as much in person guidance with doctor and physio as possible
Update went to doctor had an X-ray. Doctor said bone on bone no cushion between the bones in shoulder anymore. ☹️
Please would you tell us what brand are these minimal shoes that you wear ? Thx

Will it be a helpfor SI joint pain...
Yes this and then adding the 90/90 afterwards and core work is really helpful
@TomMorrison cheers lad happy new year

The golf thing?
