    Looking inside does help build self confidence though. Meditation, etc. seen it 1st hand and it's improved my relationships so I have to disagree on the false direction statement 100%. There is so much value from self intrespection.
    I will say that acts of service matters too, but if you're only working with the external then you're missing out on a lot of resources... valuable resources.

    Love Simkns wisdom but I dont agree that self confidence comes from the external world. Putting confidence in the hands of others around us creates an unstable self confidence . It has to come.from within to prove to ourself we can work through this or that which In turns gives us proof. The more we trust ourself and tap into our own inner wisdom the more confidence we have in our life.

    • @jessikapiche6097
      @jessikapiche6097 2 года назад

      absolutely. Confidence comes from doing something you really enjoy and because you do, you get good, very good at it. That's where confidence really comes from. Others telling you how good you are, NEVER give you confidence, in fact, it gives you the false impression that you are good, which in fact you might not be. (that much) And people often tell others they are good because they judge you base on their own shortcomings...not from actual skills.

      @dadiineguinha4632 2 года назад +1

      I think that’s is how they keep us a sleep. In private schools the national curriculum is different, they introduce this type of information to the kids in most disciplines and those kids become entrepreneurs in a early age. Education is key but is being used against “the poor”. My kid said that in school they teach them to be workers not leaders and that is why he hates school. When he said that I started investigating private schools and there’s a lot of things we are missing

    • @jessikapiche6097
      @jessikapiche6097 2 года назад

      Algebra is not useless. it is gymnastic for the math brain and the basic of programming in computer science. But it is true that;
      In my private school, we had a course name ''Organizing yourself to succeed in school'' but many things also apply to life itself.
      Public Scholl has become a daycare place where working moms get their kids off their shoulders... not a place of learning much.
      75% of what was learned in school will get lost when starting to work. think about that for a losing time scheme... That's why more parents choose to educate at home or in private schools.
      Myself, in one year, i learned more in a private school than in 3 years of public one. And i should add that, i was already late at least 1 year if not 2 years behind in almost every other discipline...
      Public schools only test what was learned at the basic level so they get 99% of people 'pass' the line. In a private school, you get a test every day about what you learned and what you just learned. In a french course, for example, my teacher would arrive in the class almost running and suddenly ask YOU!!! GIVE ME ALL FRENCH CONJUNCTIONS!!! And you HAD TO BE QUICK, otherwise, you would get 'grounded for more practice after school'... and that means no time to play outside with your friends...
      it was very tough for me but as i said, i learn ALL my french grammar that year alone!!! Teachers in those schools are DEDICATED to the success of their students. And they have fewer people to take care of too which is a blessing for them as it is for the students...

    But to have true self confidence you need to know you’ll be fine without friends, Education. And not being afraid to be alone with yourself. Knowing you always have the strength to get up and create a new social group, knowing just because you didn’t lost that one great thing doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough, and not being afraid to try new things to find new passions.
    Ofcourse we learn a lot about friendship and all but its both to look inside and to look to your friends. Or atleast if you want to be happy and not just confident.
    I honesty really don’t agree with this guy.
    I’ve also never wanted to be powerfull, i just want to be happy.

      @leahparsons7907 2 года назад

    • @jessikapiche6097

      Most speakers are full of... They believe they know stuff when they know very little. Happiness is directly connected to how you believe you are doing in life, not to how you are really doing.
      Most rich people are not happier than you are because, in fact, they often have to do things that don't make them happy.
      for example, i know someone who, every week, come to me and ask me ''so, what about you?'' after he said to me how bad he feels having to come to work weekends morning, and evenings... although he keeps telling me he owns 3 companies, lol ;)
      So, is he happier to own 3 cies but have to come to work every weekend? Nope. He hates it. Keep saying how bad his situation is, yet, he makes a lot of money...
      Funny that i only work 32 hours a week, yet i am enjoying 4 days off and enjoying a life of doing what i enjoy. Of course, i would love to do more money with my passion, but NOTHING replaces a passion.
      Passion is the key to happiness. Learn to do something that you really will enjoy 'most' of the time. If there is one lesson in life i would like to tell everyone, it is this one...

    Simon Sinek seems to have a lot of theoretical advice, but doesn't translate it well at all to anything practical.
