This is so timely! It's really interesting how the foundation that's been being worked on for years with Graph, PVA, and Azure is coalescing into something really exciting. There's so many possibilities here!
My goodness, Lisa! What *isn't* in your head?! If this is the edited version of what you've learned and are explaining, how much more of this amazing stuff must there be! As ever, a wonderful delivery and synopsis of what is going on in the world in AI, and I thank you from the bottom of my hard drive! 🙂
Thank you, this makes me smile! Honestly there is far too much in my head and I enjoy the challenge and creativity of breaking it down into videos like this. I just need more hours in the week though!
Thank you for your introduction. It's really useful for bot builders. I have a follow-up question, how can we export the bot from Copilot Studio, dut to lots of error messages that I couldn't export my bots.
Is it possible to have the option for users of your co-pilot to upload pdf documents? I want to make an app that analyses a particular type of document that we use at my company. I was able to make a custom GPT on chatGPT that does this, but not on Co-pilot studio.
No, Copilot Studio isn't designed for that use case. You might like to look at Microsoft Copilot (on Edge) where you can open a PDF in the browser and have the generative AI chat working with that in context - any user can do that.
Hi Lisa, Many thanks for this and I’m just reflecting on how Copilot Studio would be stood up connecting to your business systems. One question that I have, and what business system owners may ask is if we want to plug into say the finance or HR system, how does this work on aligning the scope of business system data being used for generative responses if they have limited permissions in that source system. Ie they don’t use this as a way to circumvent source system security.
You have the user of the Copilot authenticate before using the connection, and then the Copilot can only take action on their behalf using their permissions. This is a core principle of the setup of all the Copilot experiences, that they can't do more than the user driving it.
Wow fantastic! Thank you very much for this video, wonderful explanations! I have tried to apply in enterprise, in trial version of Copilot Studio. When I try to create a Copilot, the area where to insert the link to a website is inactive (I can neither put a website link, nor put documents that the AI should exploit). Could you please tell me why this is the case?
It’s currently available in the following geographical regions so if you’re outside these that could be the problem. Europe ☑️ United Kingdom ☑️ Australia ☑️ India ☑️ Japan ☑️ Asia Pacific ☑️ South America ☑️ Switzerland Otherwise check the toggle switch above where you enter the website to make sure generative answers is switched on.
Yes. That PVA license has been renamed/repositioned as a Microsoft Copilot Studio license, watching for full details and I'll do a video on that when we get them. This is what we have so far learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-licensing-subscriptions
We only have the information here so far about licensing learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-licensing-subscriptions Usually licensing details come a little bit after the main announcement, I'll be doing a video on this when we have more information available.
Yes, I agree it's confusing - I'm going to do another video on the licensing when it's clearer, but for now here's what we know. If you have Microsoft 365 Copilot, then this is now included in that license. If you don't, you can purchase it as a standalone product, which gives you the ability to create your own Copilot (but not the part about extending the Microsoft 365 Copilot, if you don't have that). learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-licensing-subscriptions#standalone-microsoft-copilot-studio-subscription
If you have Microsoft 365 Copilot, then this is now included in that license- that's the one that is currently restricted to Enterprise 300+, which you can't get. However, you can also purchase it as a standalone product, no minimum dependency on your user numbers, which gives you the ability to create your own Copilot (but not the part about extending the Microsoft 365 Copilot, if you don't have that). learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-licensing-subscriptions#standalone-microsoft-copilot-studio-subscription

Yes, I feel the same. I love seeing it evolve into something much bigger

Wonderful presentation, clear, crisp and calm. You are awesome Lisa! Glad I found you!
Thank you so much!
I ran a large company and it was a battle people to get people to interact with even the simplest spreadsheets. Good luck with this.
Spreadsheets are beasts, but a chatty AI bot could be fun! 😁
Keep them coming Lisa. This is very useful info for those of us who are too busy to attend Ignite! ♥
Thank you! Will do! More to come on the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 announcements ...
Wow. That lends itself to many uses.
A really thorough walkthrough Lisa! Love it :)
Jack, hello - and thank you! Plenty more on this coming 😊
You’re a blessing, thanks Lisa. More please 😬
Thanks Tyler, and you know there's plenty more coming 😊
Very Useful and timely as my organizatioin starts on its AI journey. Subscribed.
I really need a "paid" course about this new features.... I want to be your student Lisa!
Haha, thank you - I’ll be doing more content on this in the new year so watch this space.
Excellent explanation and overview. Thanks Lisa 🙂
Thank you 😊
how about if all i want to do is create a siri shortcut with the api, where do i get the api from ?
Thanks for the detailed information
Awesome intro Lisa! 💌
Thanks Audrie ☺️
Thank you for your introduction. It's really useful for bot builders. I have a follow-up question, how can we export the bot from Copilot Studio, dut to lots of error messages that I couldn't export my bots.

Hi Lisa, can you provide a video / repo that you shown as plugin for Copilot for M365 . Will be helpful.
Yes, it’s on my list, coming soon …

Can the existing PVA bot (already live) be upgraded to this Copilot version?
Wow fantastic! Thank you very much for this video, wonderful explanations!

Thank you Lisa! So this means the PVA license is only applicable to organizations who are not on Copilot?
Yes. That PVA license has been renamed/repositioned as a Microsoft Copilot Studio license, watching for full details and I'll do a video on that when we get them. This is what we have so far learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/requirements-licensing-subscriptions
Is it same as chatgpt gpts tailor version 🧐
this is powerfiul thing. but can anybod tell about price/costs per user or per query of using it in simple terms?

When will it be available to the public?
It's available now, the part that connects to extend Microsoft 365 Copilot (if you have that license) is in public preview.
@@LisaCrosbie is it available only for enterprise or is it also available to the general public
How do you get it if you are on e1 and have 250 people
If you have Microsoft 365 Copilot, then this is now included in that license- that's the one that is currently restricted to Enterprise 300+, which you can't get.
