The true fact: the marvels comics are way better than any live action done by Disney high now. It don't have fear of tell stories into cannon, and don't spoil it. It's sad that the same narrative quality doesn't find it's way to the screen. They had to hire the comics screenplays to the shows
Did Vader kill that storm trooper simply because he knew that the trooper saw what he looked like w/out his helmet? If so, then was it because Vader didn't want any of his troopers to see what he looked like underneath his helmet or some other reason?

Both are canon, the comics aren't contradicting anything, they are adding to the story.
