Last year I had a heartbreak and I was feeling the pain of losing someone who was never mine and thought about channeling my obsession towards something productive and that's how I picked up reading again and suddenly my world started looking a bit different and positively different. I took a 12 book reading challenge and completed it within the year and in those times I started watching your videos as well and I still do cause you basically recommend a good chunk of books so thank you!

You can do this! Don't pressure yourself. I just tried different genres/authors until I found something that I loved. Now I know what I love and that's how you can read more and enjoy it! I hope you find something you like and can read more. Good luck!
omgg i read the ministry of time as my last 51st book of the year after u recommended it a while ago and you were right. as a wasian and person trying to expand genres i like, it was absolutely incredible. (also the audiobook is voiced by the same actor as cait kiramann from arcane which made me love it even more 🙏) take this as a sign to read it.
I appreciate your honesty. Not big on too much spice. Enjoy a good story with subtle spice or even just a pure side love story. Other than that, fantasy/adventure are my go to reads.
the excited scream I let out when you picked up daisy haites!! im SO HAPPY you're giving the series another shot! the toxicity can be off-putting in the beginning but the characters go through such a good redemption arc and it becomes a story about the true meaning of love and forgiveness, and I've always thought you might get into it if you continued it, especially since you like flowery/lyrical prose
Please read Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier. It was my favorite book I read this year! An extremely underrated classic and very fast paced. Love your videos! So glad I found your channel this year

They are mostly Historical Fiction with a touch of romance to keep you going.I read A Thousand Splendid Suns by him this year and it was definitely a clean 5 stars for me. But don't forget to check out some of the trigger warnings.

This is perfect because I’ve been working on compiling a list of books to read! I’m a slow reader and generally don’t enjoy reading so I only read I think 1 1/2 books in 2024. I used to like reading more often so I know I can get back to that point. I’m looking forward to getting started 😊
