It is really too bad. I wanted an e-van with way more power and range. I will have to keep waiting until a manufacturer has the consumer in mind.

Not enough range for my fleet. Very disappointing. Ironic that one of the largest evs available has tiny battery.

One of the largest EVs? You haven't met the eCitaro or the eActros then 😅

Yeah for the price it has a tiny range

Take a look at the Arrival electric van. I love my 2019 4x4 diesel sprinter, but I would not switch to this... MB has to rework the traditional van.

They need the range to be able to reach at least 220 miles. You’ll need to reach charging stations. Otherwise many routes are unavailable.

It's not "kilowatts per hour", that implies acceleration of power and doesn't make sense. What you mean is "kilowatthours" which is a measurement of energy, or charge of the battery in this case.
I don't get why people confuse this every time, similar with ampere hours.

I think it's probably because neither of those terms mean anything to the convention people. I'm still wondering why people use kWh or Wh instead of J or kJ, and Ah or mAh instead of C 🙃. It seems to me that it's as strange as if someone said "I walked 300 mm/s • h today" 🤔.

@@lenmediastudio if you don't understand the concept of the energy required to power a 1kW load for one hour you're unfortunately a lost case

We should have had this, with that short range in 2007, when I bought my Sprinter 2500 High Roof. Mercedes is so far behind the curve. 200 Miles with a full weight compliment of Upfit cargo shelving, inventory, tools... use of heat/ac etc.... I would have to side on caution and only count on 90miles range as indicated. Maybe by the time this goes into production, they will come up with a higher output battery pack system. But given MErcedes history, input from clients has always been a last, if AT ALL concern. I would love a Sprinter upgrade kit from Tesla... replace engine/drive-train/ gut the thing out and turn it into a Super Sprinter. The coachwork from MErcedes is so far ahead of the competition ( though the paint has always been an issue ) I would like to see running gear an electronics from a SPECIALIST in the field.

150 miles minimum to assure 80+ miles useful range. And why does the US never get any commercial EV’s? Oh well, I’ve put in 2 orders for the Rivian pickup and will just have to go the truck+trailer route for now...

Levine Levine well what do you know I have been a tradesman for over 20 years and I can see the future it is electric ⚡️ but why not put proper batteries in the van look at the room under the floor get up to 250 miles and only having to charge every few days not every day

Would have been smarter to make it FWD gas/diesel + electric motor driven RWD. As a hybrid, so you don't get stuck after just about 90 miles.

Same price on 5times longer of this range would be good.

this is strangely ridiculous, were they really thinking they could sell this in the US with those performance numbers? Companies investing in charging stations maybe?

Welp, in 2030 Boris is banning new petrol/diesel sales in the UK. If this is the best they can offer we’ll be fucked. Needs to be at least 500 mile range, this is what these things are built for. These aren’t even good enough for multi drop!

Mercedes! 100 miles battery range? Wait for tesla, same size van will be faster, cheaper and have more than 300 miles battery range!

I would not recommend this van for driving ~8 miles to pick up a table because of tiny batterys

Disappointing range... and where can you charge it? Wait for Tesla to do one. Shame :(
