    這是我聽過最合理的給中國武術定位。謝謝!
This is the most reasonable positioning of Chinese martial arts I have ever heard. Thank you!
    我學過形意拳與太極拳。我觀察過八卦掌。
    我得到的結論:他們的基本要求一樣,只是動作方式不一樣。
I have studied Xingyiquan and Taijiquan. I have observed Baguazhang.
The conclusion I got: their basic requirements are the same, but the ways of action are different.

100% agree...those 5 finger points are spot on. Most of us will have a limited use of combat, and we all need to honest about that. That's not a bad thing in my opinion. Who wants to be involved in non-stop fighting for their lives if they can help it? The other 4 fingers are what make life worth living! Thank you for an enriching 30 min of my life. 👍

Great wee discussion 🙌 Totally agree with the depth of knowledge on offer with TCMA and really get frustrated at how many people online just instantly dismiss it based on the fact that "that wouldn't work on Khabib".

Thanks for covering this subject. There are many people and practices in the 'martial forest', something that seems ignored by the Western view of Chinese martial arts.

Absolutely agree with your words ..i think if you never practice seriously at least for a decade in traditional arts you can't never understand the truly meaning of them and you only compare deferent thing's! Thanx for sharing your thoughts!

Yes makes a lot of sense. However it does raise the Question if the traditional martial arts have an up to date understanding of fighting effectiveness. Clearly the traditional martial arts were to fight to the most efficient and effective way to date. So it would be interesting to think about this, has modern martial arts improved the fighting effectiveness compared to the traditional ones?

China has been a country of warfare for over 3,000 years, Chinese martial arts has its history in warfare, wrestling, and boxing, predating TCMA as people know it, TCMA predating Shaolin, Shaolin MMA predating Shaolin TCMA, and Xu Xiaodong and the entire world MMA clan haven’t done anything that wasn’t done in either Ancient Rome or China’s Warring States Period other than to use a damn fence as an advantage.

Were the guys who started San Ti Shi trying to get the new comers to get the benefits of standing in formation in front of the enemy ?
I think the real spiritual growth happening in martial arts is how you grow in the intangible part of yourself : your character, your awareness (not only spatial), your overall mental balance and the deep treasure that finding a purpose brings.

If u were to ask me or some other Masters , I know that question , The answer would be a resounding yes. If you have experienced what I have experienced and met the Masters I have met, Then you would know what real Internal power is. My friend and Teacher I took lessons from Liang style Master Ma Chuanxu would like to say. When you hit , You make bruise, When I hit, You spit blood. The power goes inside the body and explodes organs. You get hit by some Masters I met , You will know what is best peace.
