Yes and yes. Why the umbrellas were not out I do not know. There are covered areas near the pool. There is a lunch buffet on the beach. I hope this helps but feel free to ask me anything. Come back for our Occidental Grande Xcaret videos coming soon. (We leave 6/25)
Hi David I’m so glad you enjoyed the videos. Rain is pretty much unpredictable year round but it never last long and can be kinda fun. Hurricane season is definitely something to consider but we like going in early fall so it is not too hot.

How did you like tracking and eating. Do all the buffets and restaurants work and where did you like to eat more. Thanks in advance for your answers.
The towels are free and the Wi-Fi seems very dependable and everywhere we went. I am not sure what you mean by tracking but the food was generally good everywhere we went
No, we never felt unsafe. I understand your trepidation but we always try to be alert of our surroundings wherever we go and I would go back without hesitation.

Staying at the Riveria Maya in December...is everything easily accessible like restaurants pools beach etc
Yes at the Barcelo Maya. Some walking involved

No, I think they rake up any that may wash ashore early in the morning

Sometimes indoors like the buffet but not when sitting down. Definitely at the airport
