I have been to Barcelo 5 times since about 2010. The Colonial was our hotel the first 2 times and the Palace the next three. I have to admit the Palace with premier was the favorite so far. We are leaving soon for our first winter trip, we usually go in October. My daughter owns a travel company and and we usually take about 10-12 people plus our 5 family members. We have been to all the restaurants and we liked them all. Ask for the special coffee presentation, it is very dramatic!
Great job! My wife and I have been there many times and the last place was the Palace. but we have also stayed at the other 4 also. Did you swim with the sea turtles? they are right out front of the palace . We have been to the Bahia Principe and the Grand Palladium in Mexico but this is my favorite place in Mexico.
One of the main things we always wish we knew after the fact is what’s best to eat. Thank You for the tips!

You should have no problem but I would do it the day you get there. Just in case
