This video is misleading- in the UK is not clear from most retailers whether they sell a cybex solution M-fix silver or gold.
I got a m-fix silver £110 delivered from Uber kids online yesterday and it does not have the patented reclining headrest or the expandable LPS protection.
The x-fix £90, s-fix £160 and z-fix £200 models do have the reclining headrest. Also cannot find any great model comparison to help parents compare the differences.

Hi Laura! We apologise for any confusion. The Solution M-Fix SL and the Solution M-Fix are Group 2/3 car seats designed for children weighing at least 15 kg up to a maximum of 36 kg. Both are ISOFIX Connect seats and can therefore be installed in the vehicle using ISOFIX anchorage points and restrained with the 3-point vehicle belt. However, both car seats can also be installed without the ISOFIX Connect system, which also makes them compatible with cars without ISOFIX.
Both car seats feature an adjustable headrest and an adjustable backrest, and they are both equipped with a Linear Side-impact Protection System (L.S.P. System). The L.S.P. System of the Solution M-Fix is individually adjustable to ensure it fits perfectly within the interior of the car.
Furthermore, in contrast to the Solution M-Fix SL, the Solution M-Fix has our patented, 3-position reclining headrest preventing the child’s head from dangerously tipping forward. In the event of a side-impact collision the child's sensitive head and neck area remains in the protected safety zone of the car seat.
Comparing the performance of both seats in the ADAC and Stiftung Warentest car seat tests, the car seats performed differently in specific areas (the Solution M-Fix was tested in 2015, while the Solution M-Fix SL was tested in 2017). The Solution M-Fix SL is particularly easy to install in just a few steps, while the Solution M-Fix offers more flexibility for vehicles with different space requirements due to the individually adjustable L.S.P system. Both car seats achieved an overall result of "GOOD", with the Solution M-Fix receiving an overall grade of 1.8, while the Solution M-Fix SL achieved an overall grade of 1.7. Hope this helps.
