This stay was under Thailand Sandbox program, where you have to stay 7 nights in Phuket once you arrive, you are able to move around after your Test on Arrival returns a Negative result, mine took 5 hours to return, so after a 9.30am arrival I was free to leave my hotel room after 2.30pm.
You must stay on the island of Phuket for seven days and you must complete a test upon arrival and a test on day five, then after day seven you are free to travel around Thailand as of today 24 February they have announced as of 1 March test on day five will no longer be applicable things are changing constantly with Covid so you need to check with the relative authorities to the latest updates.
