The reason I love this performance so much is there is absolutely nowhere to hide mistakes and they nail it like always
This performance was the only live performance in 2020 from the then-released album, "Human:||: Nature" (2020), because of the lockdown. In the same acoustic session from "Planet Rock" Floor and Troy performed also "Nemo".

This song was played with full band in the album version. This was just one time live acoustic version for a radio show. Troy, the guy playing the guitar, is actually not a guitarist, he is a multi-instrumentalist, playing mainly pipes and whistles. But he has played folk music his whole life, also some guitar. This radio station is in UK and Troy lives there, I guess that's why it was just him playing here, he was already there. Troy made the arrangement for this acoustic version himself. Floor flew to UK for this performance and they had just little time to practice this before playing it live. So, it's not a completely polished version. But they are great musicians, they can perform like this with very little practice.
When you say he is not a guitarist.... the first band he ever played guess what was his instrument? Guitar.
Well, I think Nightwish liked this version, as when they did the 2 Virtual concerts in May 2021, Troy and Floor played this acoustic version 1 night, and the full band version the other night. They also played the acoustic version in other concerts, though the band would quietly join them on stage near the end of the song, and softly join in.

Anneke van Giersbergen (The Gathering) had been the idol of Floor and her reason to become a metal singer, too. Listen to them singing both together in "The valley of the queens" by Ayreon (ruclips.net/video/TbebO5BZi-I/видео.html).

As @Anttik_ explains Troy is a a Multi Instrumentalist, Uilleann pipes, tin whistle, vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, bouzouki, cittern, bodhrán, mandola. Additionally he uses the Ebow on NIghtwish's Kiss While Your Lips Are Still Red from Wembley Arena. He does a beautiful job on this and I would be interested in your thoughts on his use of the Ebow..

This acoustic version made it into the live concert. Later they exchanged it for another one. This duo will probably stay with us. Unfortunately there are only fan cams for the second song:

There is a Plant Rock acoustic sessions for the nightwish song "Nemo". Probably the sessions, at least Floor is wearing the same clothes.....
