meat is like peeling the skin off your hands and putting them in liquid nitrogen. They should instead use the foot of an animal with the fur shaved off.
Except latex is not a simulation of skin and wouldn't react the same as skin. If they wanted to get an accurate reaction, they'd have to use a part from an animal. More specifically, a pig since they're anatomically similar to humans, including their flesh.
Can you coat ice or dry ice with neverwet and if it works, let the ice melt to see if the never wet will be strong enough to hold in the water and for the dry ice see if it makes a bubble of gas.
Well. I love the idea. But I don’t think that would work as well as anyone would want it to. I would love it if it worked like that but I think it would just spill out over the never wet and make a mess
Hey Nate! I wanted to know if you or Grant could try to syringe liquid metal or liquid gallium into an egg shell. I've always wondered what would happen. Thank y'all so much!
what happens if you mix gallium with another metal? will the gallium inside the metal melt and seperate at room temp or will it become enhanced by the other metal you mix it with???
The comments here are way more inspiring than other scientific videos. You feel like you walk away with something constructive to think about... It's refreshing is all I'm saying.
Shock a seed a few times with high-voltage static electricity and then plant it. Maybe it'll mutate the DNA sequence enough to affect its growing instructions.
DO NOT PUT YOUR BARE HANDS IN GALLIUM! It will stain skin brown, and is toxic to ingest. Rubber gloves are fine, as gallium is pretty tame as elements go, and fairly cheap as well. If you want to, then go ahead and get some to mess around with, but it will stain things, so try not to spill!
it will not stain as every time you drop it onto any surface its like a blob of it and very easy to tidy up and it will not stain ur hands as I work with gallium, and its not cheap
I was playing with kinetic sand before I was watching this. And then I watched it while playing with kinetic sand It was just in my recommendations, btw.
Wouldn't opening it in a vacuum chamber and opening them outside of one have no affect? It's like opening a soda in a cardboard box. If he's not going to use the vacuum chamber then what's the point?
LilRowdy it probably doesnt. Im no expert on gallium but i know mercury fumes can be generated even if its just sitting in liquid form. Boiling point does not have to be reached for vapors to be released
I noticed, often, that when you cast with aluminum you get a rounding off on the top. My question would be is it possible to relieve the surface tension on top to flatten that out when casting?
Hey, so not sure if anyone else caught onto this, but looking at the spots were the sand was embedded into the metal for the third one, that was the area in which you were pouring the metal. So What I think happened was that the liquid metal was making gentle pushes as it was landing inside the mold and that is why sand is in the metal when it cooled down.
Can you build an igloo with kinetic sand and not have it collapse? I'm sure if the density holds together in bricks you could make a multi-coloured igloo. (even if you have to do it in miniature)
Updated Arc Reactor. Since the foundry got updated\upgraded, do the arc reactor. Maybe try compacting the electronic parts and enlarging the chamber? Also try a portable foundry. Idk how, but yall are amazing so should be easy 😁
Max Xiang I was referring to the "portable foundry" part of his comment. I understand a forge is not an arc reactor. maybe pay a little more attention?
Try spraying fly ash or coal ash before pouring the molten metal. That gives a layer of temp withstanding material and smoothens the edges which touches the sand.
I'm wondering if you could use the sand to make a two-part mold with silicone. as in use the sand and the bottom of the two part mold by poring the silicone, letting it harden then remove the sand to make the other portion of the mold.
Melt like 3 gallons of Galiam metal, into a 5 gallon bucket then put your feet in it. Then let the Galiam dry and harden around your feet just for fun, Try to see if you could move your feet at all in the hardened Galiam. Then melt the Galiam again too free your feet
The problem with that is, oobleck requires pressure to become solid. Without any pressure, it stays liquids. If you melted it in, it would mix together.
Could you use the thing you did with baking soda and super glue to cast something? Or make a mold that could withstand the heat of molten metal(or chocolate)?

No, melting magnets causes them to lose their magnetic force.
