Except latex is not a simulation of skin and wouldn't react the same as skin. If they wanted to get an accurate reaction, they'd have to use a part from an animal. More specifically, a pig since they're anatomically similar to humans, including their flesh.

DO NOT PUT YOUR BARE HANDS IN GALLIUM! It will stain skin brown, and is toxic to ingest. Rubber gloves are fine, as gallium is pretty tame as elements go, and fairly cheap as well. If you want to, then go ahead and get some to mess around with, but it will stain things, so try not to spill!

Are you able to harden Aluminum like you're able to harden steel once you get it to critical temperature and then quench it in oil?
I am 14, but I love studying metallurgy and Im reasonably curious because I don't have the tools to experiment myself.

You should try Doing stuff with non Newtonian fluid (aka ooblek). It defies the laws of physics. I made it before. It was fun until it molded. Try doing things like putting it in a vacuum chamber or trying to cast metal things into it or combining it with metals to see the creations.

I'm wondering if you could use the sand to make a two-part mold with silicone. as in use the sand and the bottom of the two part mold by poring the silicone, letting it harden then remove the sand to make the other portion of the mold.

Hey, so not sure if anyone else caught onto this, but looking at the spots were the sand was embedded into the metal for the third one, that was the area in which you were pouring the metal. So What I think happened was that the liquid metal was making gentle pushes as it was landing inside the mold and that is why sand is in the metal when it cooled down.
