As Braves fans, we've had to deal with a lot this year, but losing and being shutout by the worst team in baseball might have just taken the cake, pathetic and embarrassing
And losing the series as well

What a complete embarrassment. Runners on in multiple innings and not one dang player scored? Congratulations to the Phillies for the NL East title. I hope I’m wrong, but the way it’s going, I doubt we will. How about trying to not rely on the home run ball every time? 🙄
you're not wrong, I hate to say it but the Phillies have this division and to add insult to injury they'll probably clinch in our ballpark

Our team has no (and I hate to use this term since it’s so popular now) but we have no aura at all, even with Ronald here we just didn’t have that IT about us like last year and it’s only gotten worse since Ronald got hurt

Don't break up these White Sox yet lol. Season series won 2-1 by the Chi Sox over the Braves. Gotta figure Braves did not show up today and didn't want to be here. After finishing a series up in STL, they had to hop on a plane to Chicago, play one game, then get back on the plane back to Atlanta and get ready for their weekend series. Simply, the Braves did not care about this game today and it showed other than Sale who was nasty and wanting to dominate his former team

Not sure why the Braves don’t try to run more. Have a few games/series vs bad throwing/pop time catchers and pitchers who don’t hold runners well but they have very few attempts stealing. Maldonado has like a 6% caught stealing rate and not one attempt today. Kelenic, Ozzie, Wall, Short should all be looking to steal on a regular basis. At least get them out of the possibility of a double play while also getting in scoring position. I think at this point they need to be more aggressive on the base paths since the homers and xtra base hits haven’t been there.

Wouldn’t mind having him in the Braves outfield. Move Kelenic back to LF, Robert in CF and some combo of Wall, Laureano and Duvall in RF. Then when Harris comes back move Robert to RF.

This was a really bad loss. I mean the pitching was outstanding with Chris Sale and the bullpen giving up just 1 run the entire game yet the braves get shutout. Really deflating losing a game where your pitching gave up just one. I mean the travel was pretty tough with how the schedule has been but this was a really bad display, extremely uncharacteristic for the braves. I’m hoping that they can be a lot better at home as pittsburgh visits next. #ForTheA
I’m already chalking up an L Saturday against Skenes… Braves don’t seem to rise up against elite pitching anymore, rather they fold and act scared.

A great effort by Sale wasted, he deserved so much better, the Braves offense have got to be one of the biggest jokes in Baseball, score anywhere from 6 to 9 runs in one game then go the next 3 to 4 games scoring a total of 2 to 3 maybe 4 at the most, pathetic and unacceptable, our offense makes ANY pitcher look good including one that we traded away in Jared Shuster who probably pitched the best innings of his career against us today, SICK!!!!!!!

@@ObscuraDeCapra On the contrary I'm well aware of how the averages of Baseball works but you on the other hand sir have manifested yourself as perhaps not being a very knowledgeable fan yourself or you'd know most diehard fans will vent their frustration regardless and in the Braves case in particular it is justified, this team has gone through some bad times for virtually two months looking nothing like the 2023 versions of themselves at all which is pretty much outside of the "average" for a Baseball team of this caliber.
Your statement to me again widely suggests that you are not a very knowledgeable or seasoned Baseball fan probably of any team at all from a fan's prospective and should stick with whatever it is that you do know if anything at all, good evening sir.

Bats have been inconsistent for a while now for the braves. However, their defense (lowest error rate per game and 8th on most double plays per game) is their only saving grace.

What makes you think that Philadelphia's farm which isn't even ranked in the top half of the league has the prospect power to convince CWS to trade Robert? Or are you dreaming that a player with his talent and years of control won't cost a MAJOR haul to acquire?

@@lawrencescott1048 It looks like the updated Bleacher Report farm system rankings from last week have Philadelphia at #10, with Atlanta at #20 overall. The Braves' three tier 1 prospects are all right handed starting pitchers, with AJ Smith-Shawver being ranked #55 and Hurston Waldrep at #71 on the league-wide top 100 prospect list. The third of those tier 1 pitching prospects, Owen Murphy, was a first round pick two years ago and I read had been dominating in high-A ball this year before he tore his UCL elbow ligament, which I'd expect would require Tommy John surgery and a lengthy recovery.
I'd assume the CWS asking price for Robert would be astronomical, and would be very surprised if the two top 100 RHP prospects (or even all three that I mentioned) would be enough to get a deal done (and that's if ATL would even be willing to lose them in the first place), but only time will tell if the two teams wind up negotiating. When Sale throws like he did yesterday and you guys still can't score while our below average bullpen pitches the whole game, your offense is having serious problems. So maybe desperation will cause the ATL front office to offer their entire so-so farm system for Robert, who knows.

ATL's farm is currently only ranked 20/30, with their three top tier 1 prospects all being right handed starting pitchers, two of which are top 100 caliber (#55 and #71, I believe). The third kid was doing great at high-A this year before tearing his elbow ligament. I'd be surprised if even those three top pitching prospects would get a Robert Jr. deal done amongst the inevitable competing offers CWS are sure to receive, but one never knows.
