If he can't beat out a statue QB like Rush he doesn't deserve to be on the team.
Another year of optimism, but it's all about how it ends and we as Cowboy fans have waited long enough so it's time to get it done and repay our loyalty.
Not gonna happen. Jerry will be home in the next 5-10 years at most and then Stephen takes over who is horrible and cheap so things will continue the way they have the past 30 years. The playoff and championship futility will extend to a full half century of 50 years. Book it!

Fish, Trey Lance was NOT a bust with the 49ers. He injured his index finger on his throwing arm year one. Shanahan was stupid to have him run between the tackles like a fullback and as a result Lance had his ankle broken. Shanahan is a coach that forbids any of his qbs to audible, but rather run the plays that the coach sends in. When Lance broke his ankle he found Purdy who is a "game manager" qb that has no problem taking orders and always run the plays Shanahan sends in.
You will note that Shanahan has never won a superbowl and has fallen short two times, each due to his play calling.
You obviously have never viewed any of Lance's film at college or with the Niners. It is obvious Jerry Jones has, and leaped at the chance to trade for him. Lance will demonstrate he is BETTER than Prescott who fades during playoff years. Lance is the opposite: he responds to high pressure situations.
Lance has been with he Cowboys all last year, very much viewed and assessed. Where were you living just next door? You claim not to have the skills of a "scout," and you apparently don't. So, I suggest you sit next to some you admire and listen to them.
If I were Lance's agent I would make it clear to Jerry Jones: "Lance WILL BE A STARTING QB IN 2025," whether with the Cowboys or another team. He will not sit on the bench another year, or only play preseaon. Get it??? Lance is now in control of his own destiny.
Prescott is good qb during the season, but not competitive in post seasons. He's had eight years and we've all witnessed his ceiling. Good by not post season against the "best teams." Let him walk, and the sooner the better as the locker room will be poisoned with both Prescott and Lance in leadership roles with potential to divide the team and fans.

I'll say this again, once they see Trey in a game situation, preseason, if they like what they see they will sign him to a backup contract for at least two years, through 2026 season. If they dont like what they see, you will see movement on Daks contract.

When is giving a 4 then getting a 4 a win? Here's my logic we could of used that 4th rounder this year for an RB or another position with a 4th round guaranteed person on a 4th round minimum rookie contract and possibly play getting experience Trey will barring a injury to Dak and him being able to beat out Cooper for backup which is not even a close competition you're stuck paying a 3 overall guaranteed rookie contract that is nothing but a bench warmer or practice squad QB.
They had plenty of picks to take a RB. I agree that if Lance can't easily beat out Rush for backup then the trade was a laugher.
It's a win in the sense that it's not a sunk cost, but a lateral move.
Not that these are comparable situations b/c we still got 3 1/2 years out of Amari, but we traded a 1st for him and got back a 5th.
Fisher I like your cowboys reporting, but sometimes you deviate from the truth for the sake of the Jones's which I think will hurt the cowboys on the long run
