Did you notice the costumes and makeup are the same as Valhalla Calling? Cesar is wearing Jose's costume in it and Geoff's top. Geoff had to wear his fur as a top. A tidbit I didn't mention with Valhalla Calling.... While filming the AC broke down. So it was extremely hot. Their makeup artist Rick Underwood had to wipe the sweat and touch-up makeups between shots. But like the Vikings they were they forged on. It's not the first time they've gone through that. Several times air conditioning broke on them. When Geoff did "Folsom Prison Blues" on his channel he rented a real prison for it. It was 90° inside so they had to periodically take car ac breaks. The outside was 80°. The prison he rented was closed in 2022. The owners plan to eventually turn it into an algae farm. Until then they rent it out.
This song is sang in the tv show called Vikings at least 2 points I love this show plus Eli looks like one the Character from the show which his name is Floki.
I'm actually a Viking by heritage. My maiden name was Olson so I'm Swedish. This song and Valhalla Calling (although probably Valhalla Calling a little bit more) always get me so pumped up. I love your axe! I'm planning on doing a Viking song on my channel and have been looking at Viking clothing and weapons. Great reactions! Love watching them!
This was filmed before Valhalla Calling. J was still a permanent member of the group at that time. The robe that José wears in this was worn by Cesar in Valhalla Calling. Many of the costume pieces and the stencils for the tattoos were reused in Valhalla Calling. This is when we first saw Eli as a beserker. This was done green screen and they were all filmed separately due to Covid. I believe this is the first time Eli used Unreal Engine for the backgrounds. It’s used by the film industry and also by video games to create digital backgrounds. I believe the backgrounds reference that Vikings were tribal and lived in many different areas. I also think the backgrounds may refer to the five elements of life: Fire, air, earth, water, and aether (life force-as in Thor:Dark World) The song is very repetitive but they made every chorus sound a little differently. It’s based on Egill’s Saga, an epic poem. It is based on an Icelandic warrior/poet/scholar from the 10th century who killed a man as a youth. His mother praised him, stating he would acquire a boat and go a-Viking.
This is the one in which Geoff earned the nickname of #FoghornGeoff. 😁 This song is so packed with musical subtleties... It's not THAT apparent, but the arrangement is fantastic. 🙂 Gonna get the popcorn for the Nightmare Before Christmas Day 😅. See you next time!
Thanks for your reaction! Since you are doing Voice Play's cover from "Nightmare Before Christmas", You will definitely want to include "Jack's Lament" from Geoff's solo channel as it is the best cover I have ever seen of that one and my favorite from the movie.
If you want to grow your Australian audience, I recommend reacting to Aussie legends like John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel, Icehouse, Midnight Oil, The Divinyls, Tina Arena and Crowded House. And also newer artists like Delta Goodrem, The Veronicas and Guy Sebastian. Maybe start with an Aussie week to gauge audience reaction. But these artists each have a large repertoire.
Woo-hoo! Down the rabbit hole we go! Deeper and deeper! This one is epic! If a reactor doesn't so much as twitch when Geoff becomes a human didgeridoo, I stop watching them.😅
@@DravenGal I think she means the sound Geoff makes is that of a Gjallerhorn (viking war horn) instead of a didgeridoo. Although more known to the world at large, the didgeridoo is of the wrong locale. Plus for you would be more people would know what you mean.
@@hwyla4416 Okay, I got all of that but the last sentence...and you're probably right about the horn part, but different cultures can created similar sounding instruments. A didgeridoo is a horn of sorts. But the Viking version has a cooler name.
@@DravenGal I meant that many more people have heard of a didgeridoo than have heard of a gjallerhorn. So your comment would be better understood by more people.

Great! With your fighting spirit as a Viking, you'll love their Dragonborn Comes cover. You'll want to go out with them to kill that dragon.
Geoff is a living gjallarhorn.

Will do it during his solo week!🐿️
I concur, excellent idea! Watching them together is a good idea! You could always watch it after and save the video to upload in Geoff's week...
Nice reaction.. and I'm patiently waiting for you to react to Nothing Else Matters!

@@GroovyLavaSquirrelMedic awesome!
Can't wait for the Nightmare Before Christmas videos especially by VoicePlay! They do it better than anyone else.
I’m excited!🐿️
Loving VoicePlay week!!!
In my opinion Voiceplay is the best Acapella Group. Geoff Castelucci is the best Bass singer and Dan Vasc is the best metal singer.
Great Reaction
🐿️ I might have to agree with you!
Dan has the best hair….Geoff a strong 2nd place ❤❤❤❤
See you tomorrow for some of my favorite holiday music in existence!

Enjoying your dive into VP.
