I have only Bessey clamps and I love them. They are a bit more expensive and require large upfront investment, but they are built to last few lifetimes and they perform excellent! I could not live without them. Probably one of the most used tools in my workshop.
How awesome! Thanks for the “finger joint” jig idea. That’s perfect. Surprisingly I have some hockey tape (thank you Rob Cosman). I had no idea that would help me keep those pesky clamps stored where they belong. Thank you so much for all these great ideas and the thinking behind them. And yes, screw clamps are so incredibly useful. Small parts holder for saws and router table…and for the drill press….I use them all over. But soon I’m going to have a bunch more organized clamp storage! :)
Makes total sense....if you have a lot of clamps. My shops very small and everything's within easy reach anyway. I've only got a dozen or so of mixed types of clamps and as the ceiling to the shed is low, I store pipe/F/quick release clamps between the roof beams. Use what space you have and always look up. But I might move the spring clamps next to the drill press.
No, I don't need as many clamps as that shop has in the video, but I tend to need more than I actually have.... So I buy more clamps as needed. Thank you for the video. 👍
After mentioning you don’t need all these clamps to get into woodworking, you know what would make a good video suggestion? Maybe what clamps would be a starter set, how many, what styles and why.
Decided that there's just not enough wall space in the shop so I'm eliminating all the windows that way the clamps can find a happy home where there was once light.
Hey FWW team, what's going on with your subscription department and customer service? My account login is not working, and when I email customer service I get the same "password reset" response over and over, which isn't the issue and doesn't work. Calling into CS is impossible (you wait in an endless queue), and when I leave a callback number no one ever does. I realize this is not the ideal venue for this rant but there seems to be trouble in Taunton City...
clamps clamps clamps... yes, they need to be right where you can reach them, and as for what is too many: I'd rather be looking at one than looking for one. I have loads in different sizes (some g-cramps and some f-clamps) and they're all right by my bench
The Tesolin hockey tape bit made me laugh harder than I’d like to admit. 😁
Thanks - Great ideas to get your shop working better. Hockey tape. Brilliant 👍

Some good ideas, Ben! Now I see what I will be doing for the first hour or so in the shop today.
Glad to help Ben! 🤘
If you *really* listen to those clamps, they are asking to be relocated to Wisconsin.

The jig is like a giant Kumiko grid jig! Nice work!!
Hey what works for the shop is always right if its safe
Ben ripping tape off the roll like a savage! Where’s the dispenser?
Nice job ,Thanks

Now you just need to put hockey tape on all the wood clamp handles
thank you

Love it!

That is a LOT of clamps Ben
He doesn’t have enough clamps. For solid-wood furniture construction, you need way more clamps than that.
You only need that many clamps if you're getting serious about boatbuilding. That is a crazy clamping catastrophe for me.
Why not build a short wall to the side of the dust collector so you don't have to reach over the collector?
put it on hinges so it can swing out of the way toward the tool wall
How about some woodwork??
I should have that problem. Meh
