nicely explained. Twitter looks to become a new mix of orkut, tiktok, facebook, youtube and everything. too much of everything again will be problematic. Forceful termination and literally playing with employees and users as objects wont serve good. Twitter has a purpose. it cant deviate from the same. Elon Musk is a highly intelligent person and hope his mind is working while he is making these decisions.
First, he knew this was recession time, but he is calculating I got it cheap and let me make money long term. Now a days no body even trust google or apple stock for long term. Good thing elon did not used share market . but he need income to support the company running while there is war and trade war.
Where do people get this idea that he is smart.. he failed upwards in life just because he was born rich. So sad to see all these people fall for his con.
twitter is popular w its users bc of its simplicity, integrating too many features may actually lead it towards its downfall tbh, instagram, facebook, tiktok, reddit etc all have different vibes and different types of audiences, so personally i think elon would have been better off if he had created his own social media platform rather than buying an already existing one which has an already established audience

In my point of view if the blue tick is going to sold in 8 dollar than the importance of the tick will no longer exists, because till now the tick has its own characteristics that's people have this by their talent, position, popularity. But if elon give ☑️ on subscription basis. That means we will have this by the power of money not by the power of talent.
I hope it's more of a short term revenue source , but if it's a permanent change.. it's gonna straight head downhill , since verified accounts will be shown in top list & people who didn't want to buy check mark for $8 would be suppressed by the algorithm
