Oh man I remember checking these out! King of Snake was a better movie, trying to show the humble origins of the snake and developing a bond with a girl. Thunder of Gigantic Serpent is hilarious because of the added footage of a gangster shooting beer bottles in his backyard to establish himself as a bad ass plus secret agent guy.
Any clues where to find more? Got a taiwanese friend but she's not a film nut like me. Most old taiwanese movies seems to only have been released on VHS - if even that.
@@Mer0lk they're pretty hard to find, as you said alot of them only had VHS release, there are certain website to watch them but officially they're pretty hard to find , even harder if you dunno Chinese.
Okay now I am getting core memory unlocks. I remember seeing King of Snake on free local TV when I was playing around with the antennae one day (there is a large Taiwanese diaspora where I live so it might be why), and I had no idea it got the Godfrey Ho treatment. This I gotta see.
It's a shame Pierre Kirby went missing. It would be cool to hear his stories while working on these strange movies by Godfrey Ho
Mosler Mondaaaaay
What type of toho movies did they use for the flooding scene
@@Michelleabela5487Mothra, *maybe* some bits from Submersion of Japan, and I've since determined they did use footage from Ultraman Leo.
@@ZaGorudanok thank you for telling me

@@Irrelevant402 Ok! That explains it!
Taiwanese cult films need more appreciation, there's a history of tokusatsu in Taiwan thats rarely been discussed outside of Chinese region.

I recall footage from this movie being used in the infamous "Star Godzilla" trailer
Oh man made me nostalgic there. I saw pictures of that back in high school and legit thought it was a real unofficial Godzilla movie.
Snakes are my favourite.
Attack of the Killer Muppet
King of Snake is pretty good
this is my favorite grass skiing movie
So this is like a Knockoff Mothra?
PHILIPPINES MENTIONED ‼️‼️🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️🔥‼️🗣️
