@@JG-ge3ui you're wrong. its possible to disable every artifical pop/bang even in sport plus mode. These pops and bangs are cause because of the software not because of the transmission. There are several pop/bang patterns based on the mode you are using. After disabling these "sounds" will only happen very rarely (when its "natural").
Idk…besides the sub frame cracking…I haven’t had any issues with it, had the car since 20k now at 101k. This is probably the most reliable bmw i owned.

If, for whatever reason, you’re interested in buying an M3 with the SMG transmission, know that the pump that actuates the gear changes is known to fail, and costs a lot of money to replace. Not so great bro.

Nice unit, it's on inmaculate condition and full of extras. I had one '04 lci unit for almost 10 years and never had an issue with the engine, awesome and reliable car if you take care of it how its deserve.

I had one of the first E46 M3's when they came out. It did 0-60 in 4.6 seconds with ease. The video showed 5.2 seconds but that is far from correct. It was tested multiple times. Hundreds of times to be honest. Always had great control. The DSC was perfect. Redline over 8 grand came in an instant. Such a fun car to drive. Performed excellently when driven hard and was the best everyday driver...
@@AutoTopnl 0-100 test is also bullshit I think. I am always much more interested in a 60-maximum rpm pull in 2nd or 3rd gear, because that really represents both the acceleration and speed range in real life.

Someday, we will start hating on cars and I am sure that will come since they will take out everything we love in cars - their sound, their mechanical clusters. I always wanted to own a BMW and when I could afford one, after the test drive I was so disheartened at the poor build quality of the 2021 models it made me feel sick. We had an 01 3 series growing up and it was a tank, just fantastic.
My childhood dream car! My Mother owned a E46 M3 and then my big brother drove it. Sadly he sold it when i was a kid :( Still remember the day he sold it to a couple i was crying that day. I could have bought a good one instead of my Supra but a car like that should go to people who know how to keep it running.
