Any time a boutique shows up on your desk is fun. I am partial to the darker colors. Black and green is always a good combination. Your very blessed Austin.
Oh man. what color? How bout multi color Ukrainians are smart people. Can the Ukrainians do a tie dye finish on a guitar? Or even maybe they could do the space finish like the SG! 🤯
The wood on those Valiants is sure nice, but what I like even more is the craftsmanship. They look immaculate. I wish the people at Valiant all the best!
I really love the natural finish,it seems to show off the figured wood even more. The wine red guitar is beautiful. I can tell by the shape they are comfortable to play and since they are lightweight, that's the ultimate guitar👍🎸
The Valients were very nice looking guitars. Beautiful wood selection. I’d buy one in a heartbeat but I’m not spending much these days. I’m glad the Valient guys are doing well considering their unfortunate circumstances. I really do wish them well.
Beautiful green of the anaconda is perfectly complimented by the black of the burst in what I consider one of the very best finishes that Gibson has ever produced.
Here's an idea to fit stuff like that SG into the museum. Maybe have a small section of interestingly or really nearly modified guitars to show what the community does with the instruments they love. Then since these modified ones are intended for players, sell them off after a few months and put different ones on display to show the creativity and ingenuity of the community.
Troglyman , these guys are making some serious guitars over there..... Those are totally Awesome 👍!!! Like a 70's Gibson , if Gibson had a boutique division (that might be an oxymoron, but U get what I am saying). 🖖✌️
Looking forward to getting the Anaconda tomorrow :D Thanks Austin! I also kept the 2013 VOS Custom Shop Dirty Lemon, she is too damned beautiful to let go. I had it up for a bit but took her down. Not ready to part ways yet :D
Re: the cosmic guitar in your museum: You could have a whimsical exhibit of heavily modified units, such as this cosmic guitar, the SG with the horns cut off, the headless SG etc.
imo drop the purple heart wood, when exposed to sun light and other conditions I have found it will not stay purple and always ends up gray. Looks great now and even in its gray condition wouldnt be to bad but thats just me
1:44 yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees that bright ass yellow 💛💛💛💛 (EDIT: i see it's "blonde" but it looks so yellow in a lot of shots. ONLY THING i'd change is the fretboard. purple heart doesn't look as good with this one and i'd do something else. or omit that. i'm sure they have other woods that would be similar effect but not the purple tone. it just doesn't work as nice with yellow/blonde. maybe use one that has a more blonde color to it?)
Wow! This is the first time (when it comes to guitars) I've been speechless! The wood grain, color, details, hardware, and body shape/neck looks 👌👌👌! If you do another, please please please do a grey/purple, quilt burst!!!!
I only have one problem with Valiant - the prices, they should charge more! Looking at the sheer amount of work that goes into them, I'd hope they're making a good amount per hour by not only their local standard, but also a western one if they are selling to the states. I'm sure they've got some fun tricks up their sleeve, but I've seen what boutique level instruments go for and I think any luthier dedicating their time like that deserves to be paid a very comfortable wage. Especially as it can wreck your body over time - you're paying for your retirement too with that money!
11/10 for clever marketing! An endorsement from Trogly is worth the guitar’s weight in gold! I live in Europe so I am getting onto their waiting list pronto!
Hey Troglys can you do a review on one of the early 80s fender Fullerton re issues? Like a Strat or a Tele ? They’re are all getting very collectible and are going for big bucks . Might be a nice video
i feel like the volume/tone knobs should be swapped between the guitars, the all black would fit better on the red one, and the wood topped ones would fit on the natural one.
Those both are beautiful guitars, I think the Natural shows off the contrasting woods better and I think I like it better, but the Red is also a beautiful guitar but it kind of hides the movement of the wood.
It's a toss-up between the two Valiant guitars, I almost like the wine red finish better. The only thing I would change is replacing the black Hardware with some nickel or Chrome, not typically a fan of black Hardware but everything else on these guitars is beautiful and I love the purple streak going down the middle of the fretboard with the Triangular inlays, definitely works of art!
What I'd like to know about Slash is if he could recall the moment when he decided he didn't want scratchplates on his Les Paul models. I recall one time seeing a photograph of him surrounded by his heart and noticing that not one of them had the scratchplate attached. I'm sure it's a style thing, but I wouldn't mind knowing its place of origin.
They are all pretty but what is the feel, sound & playability. Isn’t that what’s it all about? Who needs or wants a case queen that’s a brick and dead?
What? Wine Red? Wha? WINE RED! OMG. What a great color. Interesting pickup rings. Wish the neck was just dark rosewood. I am going to watch the other review... I would totally rock the Wine Red one.
The Valiant guitars are lovely. If I had a suggestion for them, it would be to change the typeface of the SMITH lettering which I think is a poor choice and looks less top end than the instruments themselves.
On the fence about the asmr-esque close mic of case latch sounds in the transitions. It's not a particularly pleasing sound, yet it's not hateful either. It IS a weird transition though.
That space SG is a nice guitar because I have got a 2000 SG It is black and it's a great sounding guitar. The space paint job is bitching but the quality of the tones of SG guitars in early 2000ish years is phenomenal. I may have the frets worked on soon but I'll never sell the 2000 SG I have.
The Valiant Guitars do seem very nice and well made. But, for a boutique guitar, they're more expensive than I'd be willing to pay. As far as that cosmic SG: yeah, some of you guys were a bit too harsh on the paint job. It's nice for what it is, which is probably a guy who wanted to experiment with a cheaper SG and it turned out fairly decent
9:49 ok, the space one, the case was cool and on the SG...... no. the planning of the elements in the design was lacking. it looks really jumbled and crowded. but again, cool case. i'd even buy one o those. ((and i think that 2nd anaconda had maybe a better top than the first! such a great color, love green))
This natural piece is FANTASTIC! I wouldn't change a thing! That fretboard, the FLAME, That NATURAL! WOW! I hope they're alright up there and ALL those people. SAD
Salutations Austin! Those Valiant Guitars seem like decent instruments, it’s too bad that they have had to relocate due to the invasion in Ukraine. I missed the video that you did that featured their guitars, but I will take the time to watch it now. I think that their guitars are interesting, and they use some nice woods. Thank you for posting these videos! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨🎸
I like them, as someone who usually dislikes any guitars made similar to the classics (blatant copies such) I think these do enough to be different. The yellow one would be my pick.
Thanks for the reply, I love your show, right now I'm not going to buy one of the parlor guitars because I was just laid off from my job, I am here in America in New York state, be well
No - not at all. Last year, they sent me one in exchange for an honest review video. They were going to do a giveaway of one of their base model Smith but due to the war, they raffled it off to raise money for their army. These "The Smiths" were never giveaways

PURPLE!
I am sure a nice deep trans-blue would be killer!
Any time a boutique shows up on your desk is fun. I am partial to the darker colors. Black and green is always a good combination. Your very blessed Austin.
Hey, Trogly, miscounting the episodes?
Oh man. what color?
How bout multi color
Ukrainians are smart people.
Can the Ukrainians do a
tie dye finish on a guitar?
Or even maybe they could do the space finish like the SG! 🤯
That natural finish Valiant was one of the best looking guitars I’ve seen.
Absolutely agree. Then i saw the wine and they both have their own vibe and charm. Hard choice
Nope.... Scammer.go away!
Greatings from Poland ! I would love to see their jazzmaster style guitar in action.
The Valients were very nice looking guitars. Beautiful wood selection. I’d buy one in a heartbeat but I’m not spending much these days. I’m glad the Valient guys are doing well considering their unfortunate circumstances. I really do wish them well.
No changes required - they achieved a unique design with an extremely high quality of finish. Really well done!
Mark Wood great electric violin maker wicked player fretted violins and band on yt Gday Mr Woodbury
I like both guitars but the natural/amber one is my favorite!!
The Natural Valiant is an absolute keeper! If I had the funds it would be mine forever.
I love the looks of the first one. The red is great on the sides too. What great choices for wood and wood grains. I would seriously consider one.
Beautiful green of the anaconda is perfectly complimented by the black of the burst in what I consider one of the very best finishes that Gibson has ever produced.
That anaconda burst is one of my favorite colors too

Those valiant guitars are awesome! I'd totally buy one if I had the money! Fantastic work from those guys
That natural Slash had a awesome top by far the best looking of the bunch 👌
Troglyman , these guys are making some serious guitars over there..... Those are totally Awesome 👍!!! Like a 70's Gibson , if Gibson had a boutique division (that might be an oxymoron, but U get what I am saying). 🖖✌️
speaking of 70's Gibsons, i'm tempted to sell my 75 gold top DeLuxe to get an Amber Smith from Valiant. a masterpiece for a piece of history. 🤔
Looking forward to getting the Anaconda tomorrow :D Thanks Austin! I also kept the 2013 VOS Custom Shop Dirty Lemon, she is too damned beautiful to let go. I had it up for a bit but took her down. Not ready to part ways yet :D
They’re both beautiful. But the yellow/amber one just did it for me. Stunning guitar!
The natural is beautiful. That flame is sweeeeet!
Holy crap! Those are absolutely STUNNING!
These are stunning! Looks like amazing craftsmanship.
The natural wood finish is stunning.
I might order one and check it out
Re: the cosmic guitar in your museum: You could have a whimsical exhibit of heavily modified units, such as this cosmic guitar, the SG with the horns cut off, the headless SG etc.
Aloha from Hawaii yes I like the guitar and I think the flame wood is beautiful very nice I would buy one
Those are awesome! I say no changes, period, on the guitars from the Ukraine 🇺🇦
🌮
@bikerjon8934 what does the taco mean?
I have an Epiphone bass with a rose wood fretboard but it has one red stripe down the middle. It looks super cool!!!
Those Valiant guitars are really impressive! All 3 you’ve shown are just beautiful.
I wouldn’t go all-maple just to change the color of the scoop. The tone would change enough to require different pickups to balance.
Love the lemony one , the red / burgundy one is very cool too, I just like the natural look to the 1st one .
Both guitars are absolute masterpieces, whether you like it or not...
imo drop the purple heart wood, when exposed to sun light and other conditions I have found it will not stay purple and always ends up gray. Looks great now and even in its gray condition wouldnt be to bad but thats just me

I'm really impressed w/ the craftsmanship of Valiant. If they were to use the pickups from the Israeli guitar you reviewed, they'd be hard to top.
I only have one problem with Valiant - the prices, they should charge more! They're priced at $7k.
11/10 for clever marketing! An endorsement from Trogly is worth the guitar’s weight in gold! I live in Europe so I am getting onto their waiting list pronto!

Beautiful natural Valiant. Workmanship looks extra-pro!
Not a Slash LP fan, but that Anaconda color is to DIE for!
i feel like the volume/tone knobs should be swapped between the guitars, the all black would fit better on the red one, and the wood topped ones would fit on the natural one.
Wow, they're beautiful. I would love to own either of those Valiants.
Woot woot Trogly's guitars 🎸 🙌
Those both are beautiful guitars, I think the Natural shows off the contrasting woods better and I think I like it better, but the Red is also a beautiful guitar but it kind of hides the movement of the wood.

They are fabulous. I think the wine red looks the best to me.
Might be my favorite guitar you've had so far (the yellow submarine).
Im a huge fan of red guitars but that natural finished one is amazing.
The natural is absolutely beautiful.
It shows you what people are capable of producing even under the most intense circumstances.
4:14 NICE< Trog! Solidarity .
All of those Smith guitars you have reviewed were stellar made. Eurasia's response to PRS if you ask me.
I totally dig the natural Valiant model. I like everything about it, even the hardware color.
Purple heart turns grey over time. I don’t really understand using it if it’s not behind a UV resistant finish.
They are all pretty but what is the feel, sound & playability. Isn’t that what’s it all about? Who needs or wants a case queen that’s a brick and dead?
The amber/yellow Valiant is gorgeous, it really stands out (I could do without the 'Smith' logo though)
The Smith logo is why I'm feeling the gravity....but I realise it wouldn't work for everyone.
What? Wine Red? Wha? WINE RED!
Yeah, good point.
You can set the height of the individual strings on the nut ?
yup!
@@Trog That’s Cool. Thanks for doing this for us !!!!!!
On the fence about the asmr-esque close mic of case latch sounds in the transitions. It's not a particularly pleasing sound, yet it's not hateful either. It IS a weird transition though.
That space SG is a nice guitar because I have got a 2000 SG

I may have the frets worked on soon but I'll never sell the 2000 SG I have.
I LOVE them both. The natural looks like a PRS hollow body II a local shop had, color-wise. 🤩💥👍
Absolutely beautiful guitars!!
The red one is KILLER
man the red one is absolute gorgeous
The green/gold TNT bass on the Valiant website had me drooling.
The Valiant Guitars do seem very nice and well made. But, for a boutique guitar, they're more expensive than I'd be willing to pay. The natural is my favorite !
Natural is the bomb!
Yes, I would absolutely love to have a Valient Guitar.
You can get that mechanical nut at aliexpress if someone wants it. I got one.
Salutations Austin!

A tobacco burst Smith, i do like the natural one very much
I literally have lucid dreams about owning a collection like trogly's.
I like that adjustable nut! That is a good idea!
I dig the natural one but I can’t help but think a green one like in the green of Kinny from type O Negative green shecter
the smiths...wow. the natural is nice, but the wine red is really nice.
Those are beautiful. I sure hope to see these become popular
Looks infinitely more comfortable than the real thing.
Another fantastic video, Trogly!
👍
Absolutely Frucking Beautiful Made Guitars!!
Those valiant guitars are really sweet
too bad ,that youre not gonna make a Slash, gibson vs epiphone video. i was really looking forward for that !!
I've fallen in love witg that first guitar.
The valiant guitars are awsome , props to the guys that make them in a war zone .
Wine Red is the Only red for me.
@TheTroglyGuitarShow_1 nice
love these designs! great job!
Z is for walking the dog. That’s why I’m late.
🧇
Love the Jupiter.
I like them, as someone who usually dislikes any guitars made similar to the classics (blatant copies such) I think these do enough to be different. The yellow one would be my pick.
If I was going to buy a Slash Les Paul, I'd want the anaconda burst, or the vermilion burst, those are the two I like best my
Start ordering Yalll🎶🎶🎶😎👍
I love it!!! How much? How do you get one of these the natural / yellow guitar I would love to get that guitar !!!

So the guitar meant for a "give away" is now up for sale on Mr Trogs website or Reverb? WOW...
No - not at all. Last year, they sent me one in exchange for an honest review video. They were going to do a giveaway of one of their base model Smith but due to the war, they raffled it off to raise money for their army. These "The Smiths" were never giveaways
give you a pass I only heard the words "give away " and so... sorry for the comment..
You sold the gifted one?!! Did you give any money to charity?!
i like that it looks like malcom young's gretsch guitar
Just beautiful!
I like the whole darn thing. (1st one)
Absolutely gorgeous guitars!
