Indeed. Beautiful job. But not everyone has a laser back in their garage/workshop. I am willing to make myself a 60+ notes comb and some mechanism to "digitalise" the music box, it would be magnificent. I have electronics and software skills but not much of workshop like that, not that I couldn't do it but I don't have former experience. If I was to automate this, I am more than sure that I would increase the distance between the "teeth" of the comb. Lots to be done.
Hi! Thanks for this amazing video. One comment I would add is that when using those pins to connect the top and the bottom, it is best now to use glue to fix them, just pressure. Regular glue has a dampening effect that can defeat the purpose of the dowel pins. Thanks!
Great work and dedication as always ✨ The other day seeing "displays" for blind people, that a little circles go un and down to make a pattern, I was thinking that the same idea to do a customizable music box. It can reproduce large melodies.
Hmmm I'm not understanding why you had to turn the head of your mill sideways to access that internal feature? Is it just because you didn't want too put it in a vise to clamp the part and possibly deform it?
the simulated voice is amazing also, he only missed one word: "stingy"...even though you spelled it correctly he said "sting-ee" like a bee sting, etc. instead of stin-jee....
i miss your old not commented videos. They were chill and peacefull, now your voice makes me jump, its too loud... I still like ur vids but i'v have to mute them and put another music on top.
Agree. I have been watching and re-watching these videos for a long time to unwind in the evenings, but now there’s no cool W&M tune playing. Appreciate the extra effort, but wish it was limited to his main channel.
I get that it is a logical evolution when you modernise your tools but I am a bit sadden to see this great artisan falling into the CNC and laser cutting hole. I enjoyed it so much when it was mostly hand work. I miss the voice less editing too.
You put lots of efforts on this little instrument
I've always wondered how these were made. Thank you for going through all the details ❤️
Equipments + talent = mind blowing content 💥

I was thinking the same - coming at least what I know from the sound post inside violins, where it is absolutely crucial that it is not glued.

"There is a good reason why some people compared it to a house fire." - I sincerely hope that the reason is not that it WAS a house fire!
Nice!
What app are you using for the tuning?

the simulated voice is amazing also, he only missed one word: "stingy"...even though you spelled it correctly he said "sting-ee" like a bee sting, etc. instead of stin-jee....

No one else heard Tiesto?
Is this a computer voice?
this video would be probably a better watch without the voiceover. optional subtitles are enough.
hi
Sorry but I prefer when it was only machine noise or music without voice over
Lost of tools? And machines???
lets get down to business!
"we're going to use a more expensive wood, b**ch"
