I don't want to sound prejudice but if you recall back on AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 match between Malaysia and Indonesia, Indonesian supporter did flash our players using laser beam (Search it on Google) during the match. I had no idea why and what are the things that make them wanna flash us at the first place. After all, not only Malaysian does. Even other countries in SEA also did. I just want to tell you that there's no point to bring an double-standard stigmata over here coz in the end we're not going anywhere. We don't move forward and no improvement will be gain. I truly adore the ultras malaya who came down to singapore to support they were very passionate and were cheering all the way. If anyone thinks that it should have not been a penalty, it should have not been a free-kick that resulted Singapore's goal as well. Both challenges were pretty much the same - nothing much than soft nudges.
I think you would find that decisions are rather different in and outside of the box. It's always like this in football. For e.g. ball to hand are often given as fouls outside the box, but not inside which is why the handball by the Malaysian player in the 94th minute was not a penalty. The same goes for 50-50 challenges.
Dude,its a clear foul and its also a clear scoring chance for malaysia. The Probability of scoring a goal is high. Foul + Scoring chance to the opponent = Penalty

There was no controversy in the penalty as claimed by the reporters. All players are expected to know how sensitive the penalty box is. As long as there is a contact that leads to a lost of a player's chance to score, that's a penalty. Congratulation to the Malaysian team.
Stop using the phrase "harimau malaya". The title 'Tiger of Malaya' was and will only be associated to the infamous Lt General Tomoyuki Yamashita. You can hate him as much, but his military tactics and leadership, were hard to match. We do not deserve that title.

That's the key. Under FIFA rule 18, section 43, line 5, "Not all contact in the penalty box can be constituted as illegal". It was not a chance because the ball was too high no matter how he reached it. If every contact was a penalty, every match would have up to 49 penalties according to research shown by OPTA.
It's like saying the handball in the 94th minute by the Malaysian defenders was a penalty. It was clearly ball to hand and if given, it would have been unfair. That was not a penalty, neither was the one given.
Agree with that Monizag. It's a football match afterall, mistakes are made and everyone move on afterwards. The ref did not give the decision anyway, it was the linesman. Singapore definitely have some decisions given to them too that was not a penalty over the years. It will even out. Malaysia had the rub of the green this time round, the next time it will be another country and so on. Football will be no longer fun if referee can view replays then make correct decisions. There will be nothing for us to discuss about and football will not be the same.

Mr. Joe hart i am a malaysian . Its ok for Malaysia to loose Singapore, from currency exchange,broken english and also what ever u written in your comment. But as a malaysian myself, the difference between Malaysia and Singapore is , 1.Singapore is willing to spend money on buying imported players and win the cup. Is like buying the cup back to Singapore . 2ndly . they buy the ref by injuring all malaysian players and the ref always did not see anything. then when a singaporean dives for a penalty , kick malaysia players in the penalty box every single stuff is in Singapore side. But when the game is in fair play mode, i mean Singapore with singaporean players , they lost to Malaysia. I am not insulting Singaporean , but as a malaysian i feel sick if a Singaporean told me that their country is better from this that. Of course we malaysian loves to have Singaporeans expertised but Malaysia, is malaysia, Singapore is singapore. There is nothing to look down on others or look high on others. Its all about respecting others.
I don't agree with what you said in your second view, I was there yesterday, what i saw was the referee misjudging some fouls that was in favor towards the Malaysian side.
