This song is SOLID! You can immediately hear Head's influence back in the band. This sounds like Issues! How can a Korn fan complain about this song!?! This whole album is GREAT!

Frankly they all seem to be revamped and back to there collective best these guitar rifts go from left to right and bounce of each other like a tennis match on meth ! what with Head serving up a ninety mph rift and monkey just fires one back thankfully Head managed to sort his personal stuff out ( he managed to slow down and take care of him self and his daughter so I am happy he was not replaced) if it is not broke there is no need to fix it I am buzzing to hear them back as the five finger death punch to my ears I have loved for the past twenty years.

I wish people would stop trying to fit this song into a genre. Even when they experiment and evolve their sound, Korn is still Korn. They're their own genre and they don't need your approval of it (:

+Bastian I honestly think it's more interesting when an artist can break the rules and do something people weren't expecting instead of "compiling a song" the same way everyone else does it. Look at Hendrix, do you think he played by anyone's rules? Lol

    • @sbstnpofadder
      @sbstnpofadder 8 лет назад +7

      Tokin Taylor
I would not compare Hendrix to anyone , he`s in league all to his own and was the best! Also the fact that he is a self taught guitarist makes him a legend in his own rite. But i get what you are saying , but i like the old stuff more then the new. Experimental doesn't really suit me but then again im not a purist when it comes to music!

When I felt betrayed, lonely or just broken soul I got some Korn music playing. I called the Korn-therapy: apply some metal waves on your soul to dust it off and raise again. I own sooo much to this band, they were really helping me going through all my ups and downs along my life. This song is a good example. Thank you so much Korn!!

Agree. From their first album all the way to Serenity of Suffering not one song at all has disappointed me. Even the dubstep album Path of Totality I loved even though it got a lot of hate. For me KoRn is perfect its been my go to band since the mid 90s and they have helped me out through depression and a lot of hard times so haters can suck a dick!

Okay, so everyone's complaining about the 'new korn'.
They're an experimental band. And no matter what 'type' of music it is. It's still korn! And if you can't accept that, your not a true Korn fan.
I'm not saying you should LOVE every song they make.

    Feelings you see
    Are so hard to believe
All the chaos I have in my heart

All the solace inside tears me up
    Take me away
    Set me on fire
    There's no other way
Give me a reason 'cause I got nothing to gain
So what are we doing now?
Feeling complacent I cannot be contained
I'm so lost and lonely now
    We've been deceived
    Its so easy for me
'Cause the loathing I've had from the start
Evil disease all the hatred it breathes
As I'm down on my knees torn apart
    Take me away
    Set me on fire
    There's no other way

So what are we doing now?

    Where do I run?
    Where do I hide?
Give me a reason to end my life
Where do I run?, where do I hide?
Give me a reason to get out alive
Give me a reason 'cause I got nothing to gain
So what are we doing now?

This song does such an excellent job of conveying the true hopelessness of being addicted to meth. When it’s severe, it is one of the most mentally destructive and tormenting conditions ever, and they really hit it on the nail with this song. I could genuinely feel the loss of all hope in it. It sum it up, “Abandon all hope ye who enter here.” Well done Korn. Love it.

It was so difficult for me to stop and seriously this song describes it perfectly at least in my case. It can be defeated and this song gives me strength every time I hear it. Yeah meth is an epidemic around the world. I got hooked on it to take away my chronic pain and stall my suicide. We all know Head was hooked hard. A lot of pain from a lot of corruption in our country. Also most everyone including myself who took amphetamines or Adderall as kids ended up doing meth. It feels very similar. Don't blame yourself just do whatever you can to keep putting one foot in front of the other friend.

Korn has really come a long way. I feel like the people who don't like "See you on the other side and Untitled" don't understand how much pressure Munky had on him when Head left. Sure you don't have to like the albums that Head didn't record on, but don't bash them and call them terrible. They did a considerably good job being just a 4 man band for some years.

Like I just heard the titled song for the album and it's AWFUL. I miss Korn when their edge was sharp. They had a good following and their music was less kidish then it is now. All jumpy and constantly trying to pursue some form of edge that's long since died out. I feel that's what they've become. And I listen to their new stuff really to only assure myself I'm right. Untitled was the last album I bought. I LIKED IT. But around there was when the barrier was broken. Idgaf if Head is back or not.

Jonathan was that disturbed person, he didn't even have to try all he had to do was sing and flush out all that hatred and anger. The old songs had all that hatred, these days Jonathan has lost all that angst. And I'm glad for him but that gets rid of the intensity within his songs. I hope I haven't rambled on and have shown you why people are so upset at the new Korn.

I love all of Korn's stuff. I'm not some whiny kid who can't (or won't, in some of your cases) stop living in his troubled high school past. I can actually appreciate that they're branching out to new audiences.
This most recent album is indeed a nod to their older stuff, and it shows. Just because something is a nod doesn't mean it has to be completely identical. Some of the tracks on the album do really sound like their old stuff, just with better sound quality.

Agree, you are clearly a fan of more extreme music as am I, and I loved this album!! I think it's one of their best personally. People talk about the old stuff, but if this would have came out in the late 90's - early 2000's it would have blown people away. Better musicianship, John sings way better, and they have Ray fuckin Luzier behind the kit!

Been with Korn since "Blind" and this song is one of the best songs KORN has ever done. JD's voice has gotten better and the band is tighter than ever. People just need to recognize that the band has grown up. These are people in their late 30's and early 40's. Adapt or die... Honestly as someone who is the same age I find the albums relate to my life. There is a lot of pain felt as one grows older be it loves lost or our dreams disappearing by the year. The band is speaking to these issues, not the old ones we had when we were young and angry.

The lesson from KoRn's music video "Y'all Want A Single" can be applied to this music video. This music video is AMAZING, but you won't see it be nominated for the best music video in the music awards. Instead, you'll see stupid pop music videos filled with nothing but half-naked women dancing around win the awards. The modern music industry is killing creativity to be filled with the same bull over and over again.

this song is kind of new to me, it has a couple of years but i just heard it a couple of months ago, and when i heard it i loved it, but one day i just started hearing it and i started crying. this song is obviously about drug problems, my dad had a problem with drugs, when i was 12 he just disapeared, and when i was 13 my mom told me why, i know he loved me, but i never saw him again for the past 6 years, and one day he had an asma attack (or whatever its called) and wich sent him to the hospital, when that happened my family from my father that i also didnt saw for at least 7 years contacted me to tell me what happened to him, they said to me i could visit, but i knew that he was very weak and i didnt wanted to see him consumed by the drugs, so i said that ill wait until he gets better, he didnt, they tried so many drugs on him to make him feel better but they had no effect due to his body being acostume to them, no long time later died from a heart attack.
i know he loved me, but he was sick, someone adicted is someone sick, and this song is what i thinck he was going through, he was my hero, good father or not, ill always love him and he was a good person but with awful friends, it has been over a year since he died and 6 or 7 since i last saw him and there isnt a day that i dont miss him.

LOL! For real, You ain't lying about that. I use to be hardcore on this shit and thankfully I pulled through it, 26 months clean off of it. Horrible horrible drug and this song is exactly the definition of it. This is a badass song too.

Their new drummer is awesome, and the f'ed up oldschool sound is back (and Head, of course). Korn is back. I also think this song is underrated. I know that never never's music video came out before Love and Meth, but this song should have racked up more views than never never by now. This is one of my favorite songs of the year, for sure.

This is by far one of the best Korn songs there is. The theme behind this song is very strong and the music is fitting.

This song changed my life. Awesome lyrics. I've been a meth addict for 7 years now and I'm grateful that it is being seen as a disease. I'm in recovery and songs like this help change my life for the better! ❤️ ❤
