Few things need to be pointed out: 1. In order for GameRanger to use command line options, you need to add them to "commandline.txt" inside the "launcher" folder and not the game's shortcut. GameRanger will ignore the command lines you've added in your desktop shortcut. 2. Gentool already does what Borderless Gaming does, for people who don't want to spend money on the Borderless Gaming App, you can open gentool's menu by pressing Insert, then change "Window Position" setting to "FULL".
We play in networking with my friends 3vs3 And after a while when we create so many tank and building the game crash or tanks dont move Do you have a method to fix this?
oh my god thank you very much! :D Can we edit the camera height even further? it seems it is stuck to a default one. even if i set the height to 500. Both in GenPatcher and Gentool. I'm used to seeing the game at a higher camera height.
Hey Domi (and whoever might know the solution) I've tried uninstalling cnc generals ZH, then redownloading it from Origin and following both this guide and one of your gentool guides to get the files set up properly as well as reading through any comments you've highlighted. When I start the game, whether it be from the shortcut on my desktop or by manually clicking on the "generals.exe" file inside that launcher folder I downloaded through this video's instructions, it first shows the pop-up asking if I want to play ZH or normal Generals (btw does that pop up still appear for you too?), then the game opens the way it always has without the quickstart or the windowed mode. Of course the simplest reason could be that I did something wrong, but I did completely redownload everything multiple times and can't find the issue. I've put " -win -quickstart" in like 4 different places (even in the advanced launch options in the Origin app just to make sure I didn't somehow put it in the wrong spot) with no changes at all. Sorry for the paragraph, but I love watching your vids and the more I watch the more frustrating it is that I can't get this to work.... (windows 10, bought game off Origin, gentool v8.6)

I'm on windows 10 with origin install. The -quickstart and -win commands don't seem to work on mine. Any tips? Also I get a serious error when minimizing the game with the windows button more than once. Is that common? Enjoy your tutorials!

For anyone with the serious error I did find a fix that worked for that here: cnc.community/generals/how-to-play\ Under known issues I downloaded and used their d3d8x.dll file
I don't think you will reply to this because its an old video but here it goes, my question is everything works fine after I followed your instructions thanks a lot but why when the game launches, a cmd window open with the game? do you know how I stop it from opening?
@@DoMiNaToR3 CMD window started to open in background with the game after I put the launcher file but it didn’t happen with the game before its not a concern because its in background I can play fine I just want to know if it happen with you too?

It works but now the game doesn't automatically scroll when you put the cursor at the edge of the screen. Do you know how to fix this?

CMD window is part of gentool, just ignore it. Always happens
