Steel string : Martin 000-10e made in Mexico.
Nylon String : Juan Alvarez 1985 classical guitar made in Spain, Madrid.
I just uploaded a full length video comparing nylon vs steel strings if you all want to check it out! 👏🏼
Steel sounds like you're supposed to dance to it. Nylon sounds like your alarm clock at 7 am
Lmao that’s a good description 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Depends on the music style your playing on the guitar some music will sound better on steel some will sound better on nylon
Steel string is more bright and nylon string is warm

.
Nothing beats finger picking on a nylon. It feels like a melody of nature rather than an artificial melody.
I agree! 👍🏼
Which is funny because steel strings are more "natural" than nylon
@@Jett-Kinglemao
@@Jett-KingRight! Just imagine how vibrant actual gut strings must have sounded
@@Jett-Kingirony
Steel feels more like fresh morning and nylon feels like mild evening more chill vibe
That’s a good description! 👍🏼
I'm looking for the chill one so yeah
It’s less sharp and has less attack in my opinion. It also just feels better to play my little baby hands get all cut up my steel strings ;-;
I do feel the other way around, is it because I used to wake up in the evening? Hahaha
I can’t decide. Now I need to buy TWO guitars.
Lol that’s always the dilema! 😅😬
😅Hahahha
Do it, it worth not missing out 💫
Perfect response!❤❤❤❤
Exactly. The high end of the steel strings is nice. But so are the mids of nylons. It's a rounder sound but not better or worse. Just different. I need both.
Classical sound is so relaxing
Yes I agree!☝️
@@orlanbro bro can u plz play sahara from tribal rain
@@orlanbro biggest request ever love frm India sikkim
@@Dieupere839 I’ll see what I can do bro! Thanks for listening 👏🏼
@@orlanbro if u do our Rahul rai will be and nepali community will be thankful to u 😇😇😇
I feel like the nylon when it comes down to finger picking has much more body to it.
Yes 👏🏼
To me the nylon is a bit punchier in a way and at time reminds me of a banjo.
That harmonic was ✨ heavenly ✨
Thank you! 🙏
steel has treble
nylon has bass
2 one is classical guitar thats why
been playing 16 years and nylon took my heart about 3 years ago.
Nice! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Steels sounds better for the style of riffs you’re playing but nylon sounds really good with their warm tones for other type of music👍
Agreed! 👏🏼
Damn your guitar playing is crazy good sounding
Ayyy thanks man 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Team nylon
I think it's more of personal preference! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
That is very true 👏🏼

Totally depends on the song. Here you have what sounds like a Skynrd riff that is done with a nice James Taylor inspired fingerpicking style. So the steel string sounds better here. But it’s a cool comparison to make. I should do this more going forward and not assume one is better than the other for a particular song without trying both first. Great idea!
Nice! 👏🏼
Nylon like wood nature sound
1. This one touched me so badly, as if sm1 just saw a beautiful girl down the road on a spring day and lost in thought
2. This one is more like one is recalling the best things happening to him in life till date.
Both are amazing 👏 personally loved 1, had a good balance between treble and bass
I love the descriptions 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Both are equally great sounding and have their uses
Nice! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
nylon is king
Dependings on the type of music being played but for this I like steel slightly more
Niceeeee 👍🏼
Depends on where the song is going. If it's gonna rock, steel. But if it's going slow and sentimental, maybe nylon sounds better
How about Flamenco?
@@Ra-cq4el flamenco goes only on nylon strings. But playing the way flamenco should be played with nylon is only left for privileged players.
Thanks for this comment. It helped me understand better what i should be getting for country music🙂🙏🏿
Nylon. I am still learning but I wanted a guitar and when it came time for a choice I decided on a classical guitar for all the things that I felt would be easier to learn guitar.
Nice! Good choice 👍🏼 I started uploading more shorts here with easy guitar songs with the chords on screen. Maybe you can try one of those!
Have both, nylon is the one I record, and play the most with
Niceee 👍🏼
I have always liked the sound of nylon strings
I appreciate both 👍🏼
You will love both, you need both 😶
Yes! 👍🏼
Steel has a longer more natural ringing of notes and fuller sound. Nylon has a more focused sound over all.
Yes 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I think they're both beautiful, though the first sounds more calming and there's just something about it! 😊
Yes! 👏🏼
I love them both. Different feelings of warmth and depth, it's both relaxing and fun 🥰❤️🔥
Both are very delicious sound ❤
Thank you friend 👊🏼
I have both and I play them according to the vibe. Just get a parlor acoustic with a wide nut like a classical and they will be very similar to play.
Nice, very true. 👍🏼
Classical is warmer and more mellow.
I agree 👍🏼
Steel ❤
Nice! 👍🏼
i love the classical guitar.
Me too! 👍🏼
For the piece you chose, steel is definitely more impactful. It all comes down to what sort of mood you are trying to convey.
Exactly 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nylon sounds like natural peace and steel sounds like joy of heart
Niceeee 👍🏼
Nylon here sounds more rounded and softer than the steel sounds good
Classical sound is so relaxing than steel strings...Definitely i would go to a classical guitar this time...love from SL😩💗🇱🇰
Yes the sound is more warm 👏🏼 thanks for tuning in! 😃
Nylon gives me zen garden vibes I have a steel string and really want a nylon
I recommend getting a nylon! They inspire different tunes to come out of you comprares to a steel string!
Get a classical, good to have both guitars so you can play every style of acoustic
I love nylon sounds so refreshing❤️🙏
Nice! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Ive just switched to a yamaha ntx3 , so im team nylon. Warmer, easier to play , softer on the fingees 👍
Nice! Something about jamming on nylon feels more free sometimes
I love steel string guitar that's how i learned to play on
Nice! I started on nylon 👏🏼
Steel sounds like sunny morning and nylon sounds like evening or afternoon
Niceeee 👍🏼
Depends on what you're playing
I agree! ☝️
Steel strings sound young and energetic while the nylon ones sound mature and soft spoken
What a good description! 👍🏼
It's like a shy beauty vs a stage performer
🙈
Sweet home Alabama is the first 3 chords you played
Nylon feels rich♥️
Yes 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Though I love nylon because it doesn't hurt fingers that much but here steel is feeling so good.
I love both! 👏🏼
Beautifully played ❤
Thank you! 👏🏼
i know this might sound odd to you but,
i wanted to know how to pick the right strings and add the right notes to the chords like you just did. can you perhaps make a tutorial on it like how can one do that to any chord and make some beautiful sounding fingerpicking pattern and add a few notes here and there. It'd be great help. I'm subscribing.
I will look into making a video like that. Thanks for the suggestion!
Digging the nylon
Niceee 👍🏼
It also depends on the specific guitars. Also I have that martin. It sounds great
I love it! I recently adjusted the action on it and it sounds much better
Nylon has more resonance and volume, steel has character of metalic materials, metal verb, so if u need to play loud or to play with ensemble (classic as well) use nylon, if u need solos for pop songs or other easy types of songs use steel, it has a great layering under the vocals
Agreed! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
changing the guitar also affects the sound i just now decided
I like the nylon sound
Niceeee 👍🏼
Well, naturaly it depends on what type of music you're playing, for example fast spanish chords sound better with nylon.
However I prefer Steel
Two distinct very nice sounds
I enjoy both 👍🏼
Steel definitely sounds better for this riff but for classical music nylon sounds better by a longshot.
Yeeeee 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nylon 🎸🙌🏻
nice! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love steel string guitars!!
Nice! 👍🏼
Both great 🤙🏻
Nice! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
First time heard someone playing the song of Isato Nakagawa
Could you tell me the name of this tune?
Nylon Strings anytime.
Niceeeee 👍🏼
The steel rang more clear and the nylon a warmer sound. Depending on what styles you play both may be required. Try flamenco / rumba on steel strings and see what happens .
That would probably hurt because of all the flicking and strumming you do with your fingers in those styles lol I’m sure it would sound cool though
@@orlanbro First time I tried it on ,y acoustic I shredded ,y nails into a nightmare in the first few seconds. Im getting some nylon ball end strings ... live and learn.
I've been using a Classical Yamaha for the past 4 years or so, but I also wanted an electro acoustic one, when I'm playing with an amplifier. The thing is size is important, so I ordered a Yamaha APX T2 OVS, which is 3/4, traveler. I got it 2 days ago, I'm still trying it, I have 14 days to change my mind. The thing is I love the sound of nylon and these steel ones hurt my fingers reaaaally bad. But the body is super small and I not sure how nylon strings will sound if I change them.
I have a small body steel string also and I love it! The neck is small so it’s much easier for playing
Both are good.
Niceeee 👍🏼
Which string is played on the guitar with one hand? Isn't nylon?
Nylon is more comfortable for the hand but there are no rules 👍🏼
I have that same martin and same color
Nice! I’m playing mine at this moment! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 still love it.
Bro whichever you play sounds amazing
Thank you friend 🙏
@@orlanbroagreed, whatever you play sounds amazing. It's not just the guitar, it's who is playing it.
Steel only❤
@@MusicallYours7 nice! 👍🏼
Reminds me of Maple vs Rosewood fingerboards Steel string sounds more twangy and bright…nylon sounds more warm and round
I love me a good rosewood fretboard 👏🏼
I’m so conflicted. I’ll just have both. 😜 Beautiful playing!!
I feel that! Lmao thanks! 👍🏼
ACOUSTIC!
Nice! 👍🏼
Lol. I wonder what the guitar center people thought when I brought in my hand me down acoustic with rusted strings and one missing, asking them to repair it. Lol. Find out this weekend. Either way, the employee that fixed it gets a handmade jade guitar pick.
lol niceeee
@@orlanbro idk. Figured it would be a nice way to repay them. They are already overworked as is. Figure I'll leave some jade pick blanks too.
Pick of Destiny?
Nylon for this kind of music
Nice 👍🏼
Nylon for many reasons. For me, I enjoy the tone a lot more and easier on my fingers so can play more
I like nylon for when I want to play without a pick!
@@orlanbro absolutely!
Lynyrd Skynyrd. ❤
I believe thats led zeppelin homie.
@@jefflancaster4423 it sounds like Your Time Is Gonna Come but I think the video maker was going for Sweet Home Alabama
As a ukulelist i prefer nylon
Nice! 👍🏼
Beautiful melody.
The classic guitar with nylon strings is much warmer.
I agree 👍🏼
Both❤❤
फिंगरस्टाइल गिटार के लिए नायलॉन गिटार स्ट्रिंग बेस्ट रहती है
Hands down, The Martin
sir can you give a tutorial of this theme/tabs that you played on guitar...it was sounding so pleasing💛💛
Hello! Thank you. I’ll see if I can do a tutorial. I’m just playing a D major chord a Cadd9 chord and a G major chord.
It's a variation of sweet home Alabama
Classical is so much easier to play compares to acoustic. Both sound similar but the vibe of classical is unmatched
Nice 👍🏼
Steel is brighter and the nylon is more laid back. Both are nice
Niceeee! 👍🏼
steel sounds bright while nylon sounds warm
Yes 👍🏼
Simple tip :
If you wanna sing along while playing guitar or for chord progression -> Steel String western guitar
For fingerstyle playing and music pieces -> Nylon Classical Guitar 👍🏻
Both
Nice 👍🏼
Nylon string
Niceee 👍🏼
Sweet home alabama nanananananaaaa
Same chord progression lol
That's a lot of yoshis!
I love them! I’m only missing the yellow one.
Nylonh☺️
Niceeeeee 👏🏼
with voice I think nylon will be better. my personal opinion though. and it won't hurt your finger.
Nice 👍🏼
#2 sir
Thanks! 🙏
Bro can you tell the model of your classic guiter.I love the sound of your classical guiter😊❤
This one is a Juan Alvarez guitar from Spain made in the 80’s. I’m not sure if they still make them 🤔
Sweet home alabama but it's actually sounds like home
👏🏼
Love the nylon sound better tho …more like ukulele
I agree! Thanks 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Big wheels keep on turnin.
Bright sound vs. Mellow
Yes 👏🏼
