Thank you God for an anointed angelic voice. Despite all she went through in life, she "wanted to help somebody". She is one of the most UNDERRATED SINGERS, but yet a HOLY-HIGHLY RATED SINGER TO JESUS! She is my favorite singer. God has blessed her tremendously. If she was in my choir, I would move over and say, "Let The Lord Have His Way." All I would want to do is shout out to Jesus with my hands and my feet. Thank you God for a classic song to be sung by a holy classy Lady. AMEN!
Jennifer Holliday is truly one of the music industries Unsung Greats. Her career should have been greater than what it is. But I'm thankful we have the footage that we do have of her. For those who love her as much as I do, she is reportedly in the studios recording a new album of standards. I can't wait for the release. Just as soon as a record company is willing to release it.

OMG 😍😍😍 Her voice to me personally she knocked every singer off the map (of today generation not old school well msybe a few of them too) i like how she hits low and tops it with a low low like Toni B. and her high notes with a hint of rasp she's well rounded and don't even get me started on her riffs and runs 😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤ yes I'm 17 but I don't listen to hip hop as much as I do rnb, blues, gospel, etc. so please no "you to young" comments 🙂
dont matter if she's 750 lbs or 175lbs.....for 40 plus yrs, this sista aint done nothin' but sing the shoes off anybody you can name. You just cant look past her when it comes to singing ability. Vocally?...she's right there with the usual suspects, when you talk about the more influential singers of the past 50 yrs or so.

This song was sung at my maternal grandmother's funeral. She was very fond of this song and lived her life exactly like the words of this song!!!!
