I still remember when Secret vs EG, midone played storm and sumail played TA, sumail crushed midone at mid. Next game, they got to switch heroes, midone play TA and sumail played storm, Sumail still crushed midone. That tells everything.
It says a lot but not everything. People have off days, people have on days. This would need to be reproduced many times to conclude who is the best
i can safely say that yesterday OG IG, sumail was on his off day with those Aegis grab w/o a tower push, and late bkb triggers.
Back then sumail was unbeatable and eg was drafting around him
You also have to consider the plays the team gives to their mid player like securing runes or ganking mid.
Yes, sumail understood more on the TA vs storm matchup, it told me this, don't know if this is everything though.
I remember the time when VP noone was the undisputed best mid in the world. Good old days, sad they didn't win TI.

Everyone thought Sumail was washed and wouldn’t give him a chance. Just need the right team and playing the right role. I still think Ramzes is a top 5-10 carry player in the world but now he tries offlane or something

wasnt Ramzes originally played offlane a lot during early days? it was until Virtus Pro picked him up that he played the carry role if im not mistaken

Sumail destroys everyone in mid with any heroes. I watched once, sumail picked necro mid, laning against a hero with heavy burst magical damage. He still won the lane.

MidOne actually started playing Pos 1for Fnatic back in 2016 (iirc he was known for his Phantom Lancer). He then transitioned to a Pos 2 player when he joined Secret.

as a ex exclusive mid player, 1v1 gets old. dota is a team game. side lanes are where the fun is at and much less lonely
