- This video tells about how to produce the hydraulic jump in an open channel and to calculate the loss of energy due to the creation of the hydraulic jump.
standing wave.
Loss of Kinetic Energy.
The velocity of subcritical flow is less than supercritical flow.
The depth of subcritical flow is greater than the depth of supercritical flow.
Calculation part For discharge= Q= volume/time
Q= A * V
Q= b * Y1 * V1
Q= b * Y2 * V2
Fr1 = V/ root ( g*y1)
loss of enenrgy= (y2-y1)^3
-------------
4y1*y2
A hydraulic jump is a phenomenon in the science of hydraulics which is frequently observed in open channel flow such as rivers and spillways. When liquid at high velocity discharges into a zone of lower velocity, a rather abrupt rise occurs in the liquid surface.
Types of Hydraulic Jumps - Based on Froude's Number:
Undular Hydraulic Jump - Froude Number (1 to 3): ...
Weak Jump - Froude Number (3 to 6) ...
Oscillating Hydraulic Jump - Froude Number (6-20) ...
Steady Hydraulic Jump - Froude Number (20 to 80) ...
Strong Hydraulic Jump - Froude Number (greater than 80)
Very useful in covid situation
Thank you Sir for your valuable explanation and clear concept conveyance. It really helped me a lot !!!
#KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 💐😄🍫
Sir use colourd water next tym... Thankyou
Nice sir👌👍
Nice sir
Very nice
❤️❤️🙏🙏
Add blue color in water. Recently I watched a Hydraulic practical on open channel flow in foreign u tube channel and he put blue color to water so that the behaviour of water can easily observe. 2 rupees nehi hai kya color kharide ke.
Ujala bhi saal dete to kaam ban jaata
Can I get the formulas used for calculation..
Hello sir, can you please make a video on pressure and velocity measurement devices for fluids ? Like barometer, piezometer, manometer, venturimeter, pitot tube etc (Practically in lab)
Sure my next practical will be on pitot tube only.
@@anandkudoli1799 Thank you sir. Need to learn a lot more.
which college or lab it is ?
PCCOER RAVET PUNE
What is Critical .Sub Critical and super critical depth .
