To calculate the final setting time of cement
What is final setting time?
The final setting time is the time elapsed between the moment the water is added to the cement, and the time when the paste has completely lost its plasticity and has attained sufficient firmness to resist certain definite pressure.
How do you increase the initial setting time of concrete?
During manufacturing process, gypsum is added to increase the initial setting time of cement and thus concrete. Incase of ready mix concrete being transported for a long distance from plant to work site, the ready made additive in liquid form are added during processing.

Compressive strength of cement
Просмотров 9063 года назад
What is the strength of cement? Grades mentioned in the cement bags as 53/43 grade OPC/PPC in fact represent the strength of the cement. 53 Grade OPC Cement simply means that 28-days compressive strength of the cement-mortar cubes prepared out of that cement in a standard manner will be of 53 MPa.
soundness test of cement
Просмотров 2593 года назад
Soundness of cement may be determined by two methods, namely Le-Chatelier method and autoclave method. In the soundness test a specimen of hardened cement paste is boiled for a fixed time so that any tendency to expand is speeded up and can be detected. Soundness means the ability to resist volume expansion.
Slum cone ,compaction factor test and VB consistometer test
Просмотров 2323 года назад
What is a slump cone used for? Gilson Slump Cones measure the workability of a fresh concrete mix in accordance with applicable ASTM and AASHTO standards. The slump cone test is performed for acceptance purposes, to record mixture characteristics, or as an indirect method of determining the water/cement ratio. The compaction factor test is the workability test for concrete conducted in the labo...
flexural strength of beam
Просмотров 8013 года назад
WHAT IS FLEXURAL STRENGTH? It is the ability of a beam or slab to resist failure in bending. It is measured by loading unreinforced 150x150 mm concrete beams with a span three times the depth (usually 450mm). The flexural strength is expressed as “ Modulus of Rupture” (MR) in MPa. Why flexural test is done? The most common purpose of a flexure test is to measure flexural strength and flexural m...
Compressive strength of concrete cube

Compressive strength test. The compressive strength is calculated by using the equation, F= P/A 1 Where, F= Compressive strength of the specimen (in MPa). P= maximum load applied to the specimen (in N).
Sieve analysis of fine aggregates and coarse aggregates
Просмотров 903 года назад
The sieve analysis determines the gradation (the distribution of aggregate particles, by size, within a given sample) in order to determine compliance with design, production control requirements, and verification specifications. Cumulative method - As each retained fraction is added, divide the cumulative mass by the total mass of the sample and multiply by 100 to calculate the percent retaine...
To find out the Silt content in sand
Просмотров 523 года назад
The permissible value of silt content in Sand is 6%, hence the sand sample is ok and can be used for construction purposes. Is code for silt content in sand? Percentage of Silt = (V1/V2) x 100 The permissible Silt content in sand percentage is only 6%.
specific gravity of fine aggregates
Просмотров 5 тыс.3 года назад
The fine aggregate specific gravity test (Figure 1) is used to calculate the specific gravity of a fine aggregate sample by determining the ratio of the weight of a given volume of aggregate to the weight of an equal volume of water. It is similar in nature to the coarse aggregate specific gravity test.
Specific gravity of Coarse aggregates

Readings= wt of aggregates in water with wire bucket (A1)= 1327gms. wt of wire basket in water (A2)= 9gm wt of oven-dried sample is (C)= 1995 gms wt of saturated aggregates in (B)=2050gm Specific gravity= C/B-A Water Absorption = 100 ( B - C ) / C The specific gravity of aggregate in the above case is = 2.72 The specific gravity of aggregates normally used in construction ranges from about 2.5 ...
To find out the Initial setting time of cement!! Concrete technology
Просмотров 1813 года назад
Methods of physical tests for hydraulic cement (Determination of initial and final setting times) Initial setting time is that time period between the time water is added to cement and time at which 1 mm square section needle fails to penetrate the cement paste, placed in the Vicat’s mould 5 mm to 7 mm from the bottom of the mould. Final setting time is that time period between the time water i...
To find out the Consistency limit of cement
Просмотров 1173 года назад
The Standard or Normal consistency for Ordinary Portland cement varies between 25-35%. To prepare a mix of cement paste of Standard consistency 25-35% of water is added to cement. The standard consistency of a cement paste is defined as the percentage of water added In 300gm weight of cement which will permit a Vicat plunger having 50 mm length and 10 mm diameter to penetrate in cement paste to...
fineness of cement by dry sieving.

The reading of the above experiment. drive.google.com/file/d/1dWwYWf81yzlX-n5UZ0EzGvd95kfHYwxr/view?usp=sharing To measure the lift and drag forces on models (aerofoils for example, available separately), the balance mounts on the side of the working section of the wind tunnel. The drag force is measured first, then students rotate the balance mechanism through 90 degrees and repeat the test to...

Drag and Lift force explanation with numericals part-2
Superb sir
Please send your contact number sir
❤❤❤
sorry sir but your voice is not cleared
Wrong airfoil direction
Why are you wearing such an ugly shirt?
How many times tamping?
Can I get the formulas used for calculation..
It reminds me of my hydraulic lab practicals...
your sound quality is very bad. I can hear you but I don't listen you.
What is max speed of your wind tunnel ?
Sir, since the air is compressible fluid, it's density should change w.r.t change in cross section area of wind tunnel. Then why we consedering Ro value as constant?
Video seems incomplete
What is Critical .Sub Critical and super critical depth . Reply my Answer
Very nice 😊
Please use the microphone thanks 🙏
