God has been faithfull to me too, i struggle through nights and days of not finding a job, today am from an interview.😊. God is great. Trust in his time. His grace is sufficient
I love that people are becoming aware of mental illnesses and the impact they have on our lives, but I pray it expands beyond accepting just anxiety and depression. There are so many mental illnesses that people still stigmatize. Let's become comfortable understanding them all, not just anxiety and depression.
mental illness is nothing more than unclean spirits. the world is a lie. its in the bible every time Jesus delivered/casted out demons people became well. we need to be in the word & have a care for GOD, then we wouldnt be destroyed for lack of knowledge as the bible says.
And Jesus is the answer to them all..
Even on days when I distance myself from God because I’m so much in my head, I love getting the verse of the day on my phone as a reminder that He’s right there with me.
Michelle you are so right about getting up in the morning and having that quiet time to yourself to read the Bible and meditate so that you can have the spiritual connection with God. It helps me deal with any personal struggle that come my way. We are dealing with a spiritual warfare, that is attacking our families and our physical and mental health, we must stay prayed up and protect ourselves with the Whole Armor Of God. Listening to Michelle's story. I see alot of myself in what she talked about. I've struggled all my adult life with anxiety, depression and loss. The turning point for me was finding the bible app and God. He's now placed me amongst an amazing group of Christians who uplift me and encourage me. Through his word and love for me I'm turning the corner mentally and finding peace in my heart and a calmness of the mind! I don't doubt that there still will be struggles and difficult days, the difference now is that I know I have Christ fighting my corner and walking with me.....amen

YouVersion has been a conduit to my healing this year. I got to such a low point. I was a Christian before, but it was only cause it was what was required of me having been raised in a convent school. I don't think I understood God for who He is until this year. Am just grateful for the YouVersion team for putting together such amazing devotionals, providing access to different versions the Bible, building a community to share it with and also finding public figures (such as Tori Kelly & Michelle Williams) to share their stories of faith. It's reassuring to know that whoever you are, whatever you are going through and whenever it's happening, we are all comforted by the same God.

I use this app too, i keep it in my phone so i can read it whenever i don't have my paper copy of the bible. It took a while but i eventually bought a paper copy of the bible and got straight into it.😇

I can relate to this. I’ve always experienced these lows, even from childhood. I’m 70 now and still don’t have good coping skills. I also grew up in church and only my hope in God has kept me going. Yet, if I had the trust I should have, I should not feel this way. My family, especially my husband, is running out of patience with me.

I thank God that I just randomly stumbled upon this cause last week or two weeks ago I was so burdened emotionally and nobody noticed..I took a long walk to the beach climbed up a cliff ready to jump then something urged me to look behind and I saw a cute puppy..I smiled and started playing with it ran and I followed away from the cliff.then the owner showed up and as soon as we knew each other he started talking about God and the wonders of the world how grateful we should be of the life we have cause so many times we forget that He is in control,if we trust Him...and that puppy and that guy changed my thinking from what I wanted to do. I read my Bible quite often and it helps me get answers and shine a light on my day to day life.God lives within us. He is always right there with you.trust in him.God bless us all.

Cassandra Gajadhar she’s not transparent enough, she never names what she’s depressed about other than saying she saw things and experienced things no one knew about and felt shame. I’m left to my own guesses about what it was, which I’m thinking was sexual in nature, but that makes no sense to me...why want she just tell it?
Hi Anthony I understand your point of view; however, within the Christian community it is tough to be honest and say that you are actually struggling with something. It's like a "I'm blessed and highly favored" behavior and then you deal with your mess yourself. To me the fact that she actually said that she struggled with something is admirable and then the details of how she felt, people could identify with-not wanting to continue living, not feeling worthy to pray, feeling useless etc. But most importantly she not only shared the struggle but also how she got out of depression because so many people are still dealing with it and aren't aware that knowing God's truth sets us free.
That's right, the Word is what we need.

I related to this so much. I teared. I wanna worship him in ministry as I did when I was 12. I’m 19 and lost without him but I just feel worthless to him😩
