Respect to Greg, What I love about boxing is: Often times it doesn't make sense. Data, Resumes, Triangle Theories don't work making it hard to predict. Fulton looked beat mentally and physically. Getting knockdown in violent fashion is getting physically hurt in my eyes. Its not like Fulton took a flash knockdown. He was hurt and was looking stunned even when Inoue hit him to the body. If you ask me who the sharpest guy on the planet, I would tell you his name is Naoya Inoue. I'm most impressed by Inoue's phonebooth defense, toe to toe, inches away, and Fulton could't touch him. Amazing display of boxing. If you teaching kids, this is an instant classic. Too bad for Fulton because he is a great boxer too, but Inoue had levels on him.
Agreed. I've been watching Inoue since his early days at 112. He's had the best timing in the business for about five years. But last night was a complete performance the like of which you rarely see these days. Fulton is no chump but was made to look like an amateur. Nah I am a big fan of Inoue here but there are other great champions at 126 which will be a very tough test for him. Even more so at 130, that light weight division is also full of monsters.
Agree about Fulton. He is a very skilled boxer, but Inoue is just way over his head. I think Fulton is more skilled than Tank, but obviously doesn’t have the power. Inoue has skill and power. Even if Inoue’s power diminishes should he decide to go up to 135, he can still use his skills to outbox others. You don’t necessarily need to knock out your opponents to win.
Inoue will likely not waste time if he keeps moving up weight. He is 30 yrs old and I can see him only fighting opponents with belts. He won’t fight anyone without a belt.
WHEN THE BELL RANG AND I SAW INOUE, ESTABLISH THE CENTER OF THE RING IN THE FIRST ROUND I KNEW RIGHT THEN WHAT THE RESULT WOULD BE. INOUE, IS A PHENOMENAL TALENT AND WILL NO DOUBT GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE GREATEST TO EVER LACE UP THE GLOVES. 1
I think Fulton felt that final body shot and froze up a bit, hunched up a bit perhaps. He never showed the pain he was in from those body shots. That hunch gave Inoue the split second for the overhand right. And then it was amazing how fast Inoue pounced on Fulton with the final left hook which was perfectly placed and sharp.
Greg told the Truth about Fulton. That’s Why Hackett is the Peoples Champ Hackett Todd’s the people the truth even if it is not Popular to do that’s why Hackett is the Peoples Champ. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great video. I agree .The first shot really hurt him, and the 2nd shot woke him up. His legs were pretty steady after taking two flush shots from a power puncher. He was pretty composed too
He beat that boy at every aspect of the fight smh it seems like the stage was too big for him and everything went wrong for fulton his legs were wide and looked weak and skinny in comparison to Monster. He was so timid it made him look like he was in there for the first time.

Cool boy was frustrated and wasn’t himself I thought he would pull it off big fan of cool boy hopefully he bounce back salute to innoyne that was my first time seeing him before that I only herd about him he was impressive
Two big takeaways for me: 1. Fulton wore black shoes, put black laces on his front foot, but yellow on his back foot, and on a black ring cover spent the first four rounds trying to screw with Inoue's feet and space - he managed to trip him for real twice, and was regularly stepping on his toe, and shimmying his foot forward to put the outside of his foot against the outside of Inoue's lead. Fulton got called on it outright by the ref, and warned another time. That's some B-Hop shit, pure Philadelphia, and if Fulton were an older man, I would have approved - but those kinds of shenanigans from the younger fighter? Especially after all the trash in the week leading up? Bad look. Contextually, though, they needed every advantage they could get, and even then it didnt help much. 2. Inoue didnt just change tempo in the 2nd round, he started peacocking. He looked pissed about being tripped, pissed about the week leading in, and he dialed up the sass to a place I really didnt think he could go. If you watch at around 1:50 remaining, he drops his left, and brought his right up in a pretty spot on pantomime of a Philly stance - and when he steps out before Fulton can initiate and attack, he does a little Mutombo head nod at him. Fulton follows through, anyway, and Inoue slides out and away - that's when he shakes his head again, taps his own jaw twice, and the does a little 'come on' wave with his left, while strutting. That's Roy Jones shit. He was playing. The finisher, the leaping left hook, was also vintage Jones Jr. A real performance, front to back.
I knew Fulton was going get koed cause of lack of punch power to get respect, Inoua showed me he was another level, i was lookibg at Inoua power but didn't realize the speed and defense he has, very impressive.
Maybe Tank vs Inoue is too soon but I think Inoue vs Pitbull Cruz could be a good test for Inoue at that weight if he does decide to move up. Pitbull is shorter than Inoue too and looked way smaller than Tank when they fought.
I would not put him in there with Tank. He would get stopped and everyone saying he was ready will have the excuses coming in hot. It would look similar to the Santa Cruz right, entertaining for about 5 to 6 rounds then night night
Bro him fighting cool boy was my first time seeing Inoue fight after hearing about him for awhile thinking he prolly just a nice lil Chinese fighter. But once I heard he beat cool boy I said let me see what this about. I've boxed myself when I was younger I'm not a casual I'm a enthusiast. Bro I'm not goin cap from what I seen he will beat tank bro. Tank got to many holes in his defense for Inoue. Like I keep saying study the fighter not the popularity. The power tank has lil dude would paralyze that shit if he not there for tank to hit. I really think he would give Shakur a run for his money too. I actually WATCH boxing. THAT LIL BITCH CAN FIGHT. He bout to shame a few of these American fighters if they don't turn they training up. I bet that's why Shakur tryna train with Floyd cause that's the typa knowledge he goin need
I learned more about technical aspects of boxing in this short video than anything else I've seen in my life. If I were to become a boxer I'd want this guy to train me cuz he explains the reasons behind the actions in a very easy to get kinda way
Fulton was backed by Mr. Hackett, and Mr. Hackett stayed with his call and his man. Great analysis of the fight and Fulton fought a great fight with courage. Picking a fight isn't a science. The sun don't shine on the same dog's behind every day, and a busted clock is right twice a day. Greg spoke his mind, and that is appreciated. Thank you again, YSM! Thank you for asking the tough questions that the national pundits aren't asking.
What I haven't heard anyone on any boxing channel talk about is Fulton's foot placement. How is it that two orthodox fighters are fighting, and Fulton's lead foot was outside of Inoue's lead foot? I didn't hear his corner tell him about that. When you do that you're essentially giving your opponent and direct line to clap you with that right hand... And your right is so far away because your lead hand is far away. That shit was so mysterious to me. He literally would have to go across his own body to land a right hand.

Narvarez' corner was so spooked, they accused Inoue of loaded gloves...yes, loaded with monster, once-in-a lifetime POWER. Look, Emmanuel Rodriguez had beaten Maloney and Butler (both solid fighters) and Gary Russell Jr after Inoue took his fighting spirit from him...Two rounds and done. He was a good opponent, but he looked like everyone else who fights Inoue------in over their head. Inoue has had his ball check, when Donaire busted his orbital. That's a nasty injury that many a fighter have called it a day on.... not Inoue.....he made himself appear vulnerable because he toughed out that first fight with Nonito.......... who stupidly picks Fulton before that fight. When will people learn......this kid is the REAL DEAL, once in a lifetime type fighter... who's unfortunately trapped in an unappealing weight run right now where there really aren't any challenges for him..... So maybe he does something crazy, and jumps a few weight classes (he's already a 4-weight champ) and challenges something surreal like Tank, or Lomo, or at least somebody who wets the appetite....he's too damn good right now for his own good. The fights that make me dream/fly are all fantasy fights for him.... Gomez, Zarate, Fenech, etc. The only guy in his wheelhouse he might've been in tough with IMO is Salvador Sanchez....................oh, what a work of ART that would be..... but all thi is just an attempt to express my admiration for what this guy is..... When Art Tatum was alive, pianist scattered in terror/awe....they knew----------if you HOOK PERFECT PITCH UP to state of the art technique and a remarkably imaginative person, and you have a thing of beauty and terror......well that's Inoue now.
greg prefight: "coolboy is too big. too strong. too fast for inoue. he will beat the fuck out of him" greg postfight: "coolboy should have boxed around a bit. work that jab. but he wanted to make a statement and stand his ground. he didnt have to stand there"

I seen a mental defeat...he couldn't get in his zone smaller guy looked as if he was a bigger guy trying to swap a fly just be he was the bigger guy.. he wasn't expecting the power to have effect on him like that bc he felt he was the bigger guy.. I 100 agree..
Fulton stood there right in range, waited for Inoue but wasn't tryna counter..had a good moment wit the 121 but never doubled up and never went for the check when Inoue was leaping. Inoue remind me of Manny this fight
The second shot that knocked him down saved Fulton from more punishment. imagine the ref stepped between when his glove touched the floor so he could beat the count and have some composure to make it through the 8th. He would have eaten more punches into the 9th? 10th? maybe even 12th round. A fighter of Fulton's style don't need to take that sort of punishment.
First round was a clear inoue round. He was the only one that landed clean, despite it being like 3 jabs. And was making Fulton back up and flinch and corner himself with feints alone so there goes the ring generalship too.
Fulton better get back with Hackett and get himself a belt at 26 for the rematch at MSG/MGM Grand. Hackett knows Fulton's team didn't bother studying up on Inoue. That cost them big time.
Do you honestly think Fulton wants a fight with the little Monster anymore ? He will not forget the moment when he felt the speed and power . Fulton has been so good up to this point , he never been rocked quite like this before.
Don't interrupt when this guy talk boxing, great breakdown. Guppies down there? Fulton? Tapales? Nery? Come on, man. Inoue never said he wanted Tank. Tank is the one who said it would be a dream fight. Tank recognizes The Monster's skills. Don't make it look like Inoue talking trash, he never does. Some casuals talking like that, but Inoue wants undisputed at 122 then 126. Just give him his due, that is all.
It should be an epic reaction bcuz Fultons performance was an epic fail. Mann literally lost every rd, didnt let his hands go, was fighting very defensive and still got KO'd

That cool boy fight hurt me I slammed my remote... shout out to cool boy newark still backing you bro.
Never heard of this guy but he's one of the best boxing analysts I've heard from
Lol watch his other video before Inuoe's fight about hand wrap and it will surprise you.
WHEN THE BELL RANG AND I SAW INOUE, ESTABLISH THE CENTER OF THE RING IN THE FIRST ROUND I KNEW RIGHT THEN WHAT THE RESULT WOULD BE. I FELL BACK ASLEEP AT THAT MOMENT AND WHEN I WOKE UP MY SCREEN WAS FROZEN WITH INOUE HOLDING THE STRAPS. INOUE, IS A PHENOMENAL TALENT AND WILL NO DOUBT GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE GREATEST TO EVER LACE UP THE GLOVES. 1
Love when hackett explains it👏🏿👏🏿💯
Greg one of the best minds in boxing
I think Fulton felt that final body shot and froze up a bit, hunched up a bit perhaps. He never showed the pain he was in from those body shots. That hunch gave Inoue the split second for the overhand right. And then it was amazing how fast Inoue pounced on Fulton with the final left hook which was perfectly placed and sharp.
The whole fight fulton was getting stunned by inoues power
His eyes were closed too, while bracing for that punch. I noticed it when watching the slo-mo
The left hand was most impressive. Inoue footwork got him in position.
This guy knows boxing
Greg told the Truth about Fulton. That’s Why Hackett is the Peoples Champ Hackett Todd’s the people the truth even if it is not Popular to do that’s why Hackett is the Peoples Champ. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was the best and EPIC reaction on this fight on RUclips. Greg Hackett is the best! Thanks YSM Sport Media and Greg!!
Great video. I agree .The first shot really hurt him, and the 2nd shot woke him up. His legs were pretty steady after taking two flush shots from a power puncher. He was pretty composed too
Great 👍 interview. Greg is very knowledgeable. 👏
He rode that scooter till the wheels fell off
Inoue jab to the body causes the most problem. Scooter looked and performed like he was drained. That jab to the body zapped anything he has left.
Finally someone who went to detail on what actually happen. Love the content and respect to both fighter
That hat though! 💯
He beat that boy at every aspect of the fight smh it seems like the stage was too big for him and everything went wrong for fulton his legs were wide and looked weak and skinny in comparison to Monster. He was so timid it made him look like he was in there for the first time.
That's deep u mentioned his legs I thought the same thing watching it I was like damn he has no legs in comparison to,bul monsta look like Pac out there even a little better they should re match though I would like to see that again
@@michaellundy4065no need for a rematch he took Fulton soul
Cool boy was frustrated and wasn’t himself I thought he would pull it off big fan of cool boy hopefully he bounce back salute to innoyne that was my first time seeing him before that I only herd about him he was impressive
pure assessment
Two big takeaways for me:
Yes, bet Inoue seen plenty of Roy Jones Video..
Great breakdown Greg!!!
I knew Fulton was going get koed cause of lack of punch power to get respect, Inoua showed me he was another level, i was lookibg at Inoua power but didn't realize the speed and defense he has, very impressive.
Awesome discussion. I could really feel your boxing soul in your fight break down. Thanks!
why isnt this man commentating on the bigger networks? he sees boxing better than most the commentators today.
If he remain consistent, someone will spot him. I've seen it happen time and again. Give it time.
This was an excellent breakdown, Ysm set up the podcast ft Greg Hackett
The difference is when we lose we show respect
Maybe Tank vs Inoue is too soon but I think Inoue vs Pitbull Cruz could be a good test for Inoue at that weight if he does decide to move up. Pitbull is shorter than Inoue too and looked way smaller than Tank when they fought.
Exactly but I think tank is just too big or that weight class is just too much but you never know
I would not put him in there with Tank.
@@kalives5774 why do some of ya'll call all asian ethnic groups as chinese? lol
Are all black people nigerians then?
I learned more about technical aspects of boxing in this short video than anything else I've seen in my life. If I were to become a boxer I'd want this guy to train me cuz he explains the reasons behind the actions in a very easy to get kinda way
"i dont put him on the pound to pound list, but ill put him on the bad mf list" lol
Legit breakdown, y'all listen up. Props.
Good breakdown basically what happened
No need to overanalyze why Fulton lost. Here's a concise explanation: Inoue is better. End of story.
WAS A MIS MATCH FROM THE BEGINNING. U GONNA HAVE TO PUT SOME1 IN THERE WITH POWER JUST LIKE HIM TO HAVE A CHANCE. DUDE THE REAL DEAL
Thank you for asking the tough questions that the national pundits aren't asking.
he picks based off of race. thats his science.
@@Teddy-se8qbnaw it wasn’t race it was because he is my guy, watch your keyboard 🤦🏿♂️
@@Teddy-se8qb only a stupd azz racist would make the statement you made. Guess it takes one to know one, huh?
What I haven't heard anyone on any boxing channel talk about is Fulton's foot placement. How is it that two orthodox fighters are fighting, and Fulton's lead foot was outside of Inoue's lead foot? I didn't hear his corner tell him about that.
When you do that you're essentially giving your opponent and direct line to clap you with that right hand... And your right is so far away because your lead hand is far away. That shit was so mysterious to me. He literally would have to go across his own body to land a right hand.
*THIS THE ONE WEVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!*
I wish CoolBoy came to win and not survive…because he didn’t even survive. Inoue DEFINITE Pound-For-Pound no. 2 after Errol Spence Jr vs Terence Crawford winner.
he couldnt answer inous speed skills and power. you speak as if he had a choice
I agree with this..I dont rank him 1 yet, unless he decides to unify more titles at a higher weight or defend his titles
@@UNSTABLE111 man's done skipped to weight classes to become a champ. Then went up to this weight class to beat a guy who beaten 9 undefeated fighters on his resume. Even Shakur hasn't beaten that many undefeated fighters. Dude is like that
but yet eveyrone is calling him so brave. bro fought scared as fuck. this shit is hilarious.
@@UNSTABLE111 so a man who's already moved up 5 divisions. won titles in 4 of them. has to move up even higher to win titles and defend them before you will give him his credit? LOOOOL.
if he was black he would be the second coming of jesus.
Nice breakdown. I just wish Greg would have had this kid of respect for Inoue’s game before the fight. This has been Inoue. He’s been killing MFers!!! In my opinion CBS didn’t respect Inoue. He said he was the more complete fighter. That shows you right there CBS didn’t know his opponent. CBS is nice no doubt about it. That fight with Figueroa was incredible high level shit!!! I just wish CBS wouldn’t have had the fight here in the states and a rematch clause. Salute Inoue, much respect to the God CBS! Nothing but luv.. you’ll be back and even better. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Good shit again ysm and GHack great fuckin analogy GHack with the heart rate i know where u at wit it and Fulton keep ya head up baby
I think Fulton was I doubt since the first round he never expected a guy (let’s be honest here) of inoue ethnicity to be that Lightning quick with that power. So now he has to worry about speed and what’s coming back with power.
I got total respect for you here - Inoue is a level up but Fulton upped his game and tried to take him on - came up short against The Monster but there is no shame. A good fighter meets a generational talent.
no excuses greghackett
It was simple cool boy DID NOT make any adjustments and his rhythm was predictable inoue just figured it out early and caught him in the 8th every round up to the 8th he was getting closer and letting his hands go more but big ups to cool boy hope he bounce back in the featherweight division
I would like to see this bad motherfucker list you speak of. And no joke I'll watch who you list. Your humble and respectful and analysis on point. Give props where it's do to Inoue.
Coolboy couldn't get his groove and distance. Inoue looked damn good. The best breakdown on the net
i was waiting 4 this😅😅😅😅
I love seeing these guys salty
1st rd Inoue was probing distance. The 2nd rd was a master piece, Inoue made a statement that you cant hurt or beat me. It was over then. Respect that Fulton went out on the shield and not run.
Tank actually commented before the Fulton vs. Inoue fight saying “ inoue would be a dream type of fight for me. But I might be too big for him”.
Would be a great fight . Tank wins on points
I COULDNT wait on his and Boots reaction lmaooo they was talking GREASYYY 😭
They were supposed to have confidence in their guy!
Cause that’s there Philly brother 😂
They thought just being black was enough to beat Inoue 😂
@@csammy123no they all fight out the same gyms, they all grew up together, u would back ya homie and folks too
@@smooth215gg8Let that mf talk, they team Philly & CoolBoy is their guy. They both are actual fighters who rooted for their guy & his ability. Saying just because he was “black” is stupid.
Hats off to Inoue!! I had Fulton but Inoue showed up and showed out!
Coolboy said he didn't see the punch coming
yes sir.... that's why I see Loma as a sort of ultimate challenge.... he could just say, "fuc% all the belts against guys people won't give me credit for...
and hey, for the record, this guy fell into my radar when he blew out Omar Narvarez who had only lost to Donaire going the distance in his seventh fight.
Yes
Greg's analysis is always on point and captivating. Big up bro!
greg prefight: "coolboy is too big. too strong. too fast for inoue. he will beat the fuck out of him"
greg postfight: "coolboy should have boxed around a bit. work that jab. but he wanted to make a statement and stand his ground. he didnt have to stand there"
Heard sumbody say Fulton was the Devin Haney of his division 😂😂
he is. too bad inoue aint no kambosos tho.
They said Pernell Whitaker was too small to fight at welterweight and Sweet Pea was a force at welterweight but he also captured a 154 strap. Fans laughed and tried to play De La Hoya for fighting Pacquiao. I wish more ppl studied history of boxing before they dismiss something as crazy.
Inoue is in a different level. Just like tank davis.
Much respect.
That right hand came so fast after that jab he couldn’t even react
I was going for fulton but he got his ass whooped cool boy was fighting scared
How you break SPEED…..
Is with DISTANCE💯
inoue came out in the philly shell and dominated round 1. thats when i knew it was over🤣🤣
Inoue conditioned cool boy with that jab to the body that’s how he caught him with that right
I seen a mental defeat...he couldn't get in his zone smaller guy looked as if he was a bigger guy trying to swap a fly just be he was the bigger guy.. he wasn't expecting the power to have effect on him like that bc he felt he was the bigger guy.. I 100 agree..
great analysis... I too thought Fulton was overreacting to everything Inoue did
Fulton stood there right in range, waited for Inoue but wasn't tryna counter..had a good moment wit the 121 but never doubled up and never went for the check when Inoue was leaping. Inoue remind me of Manny this fight
Monster is a very fitting name for Inoue, Tapales is in big trouble….painful troubel
Look how squared up Scooter is when Inoue landed that shot 🙄 once he figured out he was scared of him he start coming after him
thats the truth right there. its the biggest factor that greg never mentioned. coolboy lost based off of fear alone.
@@Teddy-se8qb word fighting not to get kod and got ktfo anyway. Inoue wanted it more
The second shot that knocked him down saved Fulton from more punishment. imagine the ref stepped between when his glove touched the floor so he could beat the count and have some composure to make it through the 8th. He would have eaten more punches into the 9th? 10th? maybe even 12th round. A fighter of Fulton's style don't need to take that sort of punishment.
Yep your right. Fulton has heart. 4 more rounds would have been punishment.
Honestly, no matter what game plan Coolboy had, he just didn't have a chance against Inoue.
Exactly, especially when there is no rematch clause
Good breakdown Greg💯💯 Who Cares What Anyone Say" I Definitely Don't Care
Greg kept it real and I respect that!!! Someone please teach Steven Jackson how to humble himself and keep it real!!
He clearly said the fans are mentioning tank, not inoue. Open your ears
Very intelligent way of explaining how the fight went.
Funny how you said the 2nd shot woke him up lol 😂
It should be an epic reaction bcuz Fultons performance was an epic fail. Mann literally lost every rd, didnt let his hands go, was fighting very defensive and still got KO'd
Respect for giving Inoue his props.
Wit all due respect tank vs inoue is an amazing fight
Inoue took a page out of tzyu's book. Showcase your power against a slick boxer without punching power. There was nothing to stop him from going in the fire.
I probably wouldnt agree with this guy philosophically on too many things. But, he definitely knows boxing. I thought he broke down the fight beautifully .
