What camera do you prefer in this form factor?
When I sold my Fuji stuff to move to Sony, I missed some of the things you are covering, so I downloaded a style pack that emulates all of the Fuji looks, including ones not available on XE4. It looks literally identical to all the film sims including nostalgic neg and classic chrome!
So my workflow now is I plug in my Sony straight to the iPhone or iPad (using Lightroom) and I have the same look as Fuji, it's great and the camera is a lot more capable in low light and smaller too! - that Viltrox f/2.8 20mm full frame for example is so much smaller/lighter than the Viltrox f/1.4 13mm for Fuji - the superior full frame sensor makes up for the difference in aperture (which is very small anyway due to the crop factor).
I find in general for very wide to 50mm, FF is smaller/lighter/cheaper, for tele zooms, that's the Fuji APS-C sweet spot.

It really is a refresher. It's so satisfying not to have to edit any photos coming out of here.
Hey mike, stuck in a predicament here , im having a hrd time letting go of my a6400 for an xt3 , what'd you do ? , esp since the xt3 is better overall except in af.
It depends what you shoot really. Personally I'd be ok if photos (also depending on high stress it is but people have used this for photos and have been just fine). I continue to use Sony just for video AF and ease of us with video AF. But you won't know till you try if you could borrow it.
@@MikeBSalazar yeah i decided not to switch , the a6400 despite its rolling shutter and everything that lets it down - survived 7hours 35c shoots at 4k with me. I dont know if the fuji can even handle that.
And im afraid its a lot more fragile than the bog basic a6400 ( weird ik )
I randomly found a x100v on adorama, open box without the insane mark up all these places wanted a couple months back. Getting a fuji was one of the great things I have ever done. I got it for as a camera to have fun with and use my A7IV for paid gigs because to me, it isn't as fun!
Wooooh! Thats how I was with my A7SIII when it first released. And I got it like $700 under the msrp.
I have no patience nor respect for Fuji anymore with their limited supply and flippers selling the ones available at outrageous prices. Cost alone and the waxy skin tones of fuji made the decision to switch to Leica that much easier for me.
Strong words. But yeah it is a lot of ridiculousness. One of these days I’ll have to try a Leica for myself. What model did you end up using?

I am also a Sony fanboy, after a while it started to feel like work, and started too look at other cameras for mostly the same reasons as you did. I was lucky enough to grab a X100VI at retail but it lacked the tactile feel I was looking for. Now I ended up with a Leica M10-R with no regrets. Only edits I ever do is if I need to adjust exposure.

Nikon zf! I’ve used the x100vi and i feel like the nikon zf is the better camera. Do i think the x100 is worth the hype? No. Is it still a good camera? Yes!
I was also peaking at that camera too! It could bring me back to the Nikon system
@@MikeBSalazar I recommend trying it out! It is super fun to use and nikon has their own versions of film simulations with picture control. Its not as intuitive as building custom simulations with fuji. But it scratches that itch!
I have yet to find a better EDC camera than the zv-1. Even 5 years later. You should try the film sims by Veres Deni Alex. Good times. 🤙🏽
