Great choice Don, this one brings back many pleasant memories for me. The 70s were certainly interesting times, and you're absolutely right about the sentiment of this song. It's an earwig from the era, I'll be hearing it all day now. Thanks for the great choice and reaction

Good morning nostalgic selection. I have not interviewed them. They were assembled by the McCann Eriksson advertising group to specifically doo the Coke commercial. r3The song "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" is a pop song (originally known as "True Love and Apple Pie") by British hit songwriters Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway, and sung by Susan Shirley. It was released in 1971 and later that year adapted for the Coca-Cola 'Hilltop' commercial. I thought it was very cool someone was going to "Buy The World A Coke". The New Seekers later recorded it and took it to #7 on the Billboard charts. Thanks for a walk down memory lane. Have a Coke and a smile 🙂 the commercial ruclips.net/video/1VM2eLhvsSM/видео.html

Thanks for the history. I hope they made a mint off the Coke commercial.

Very familiar from the Coca Cola commercial from the 1970s. The New Seekers (an Australian group) did a great version of this. Thanks for sharing this song reaction. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️

@randytorres8211 LOL!! It's easy to tell when someone's been around a little bit when they know what this song is connected to!

I like the New Seekers version better. I don't remember this, even in a commercial. The song is great, whoever sings it!
