gotta say after watching your racing on here ,it has given me the bug to get me and my 9 yr daughter into some kart racing . . looks so fun plus I'll get to spend priceless time with the family... sooo thanks man
Since you're still relatively new, and may not know the names yet, going to fill you in a little...first off, BS 375 is the biggest, fastest, and toughest class out there, so holding your own in That class is tough. That #90, Michael Smith, has won literally hundreds of races, so me of the biggest around, and I couldn't tell you how many championships he's got. To only be 2-3 tenths off of him is GREAT!!!. And the #99, Jeremy Rich, has been tearing it up lately. Been super fast every week!!! You looking good. Keep it up, if it was easy, everybody would be doing it!!!
@My Account they do tend to get rough every now and then, especially in Pro races. You learn who you can race clean, and who's going to beat you up. But, overall, we got a good bunch at Callahan Speedway. Very few issues with rough driving, or anything like that.
Man Joshua, it's a new kind of racing for you. Keep your head up and enjoy it. There is a track 5 minutes from my house but like u I cut my teeth with stock cars. But watching u makes me want a go kart. Keep it up bubba u got this!
Man, the margin for error is such a small window. Shoot, I think micro sprints or micro mods is your calling!! GET YA SOME SLIDE JOBS, BROTHER!!! Love all the aspects of the channels content and also that you all keep your faith present! God bless!
It looks and sounds to me like it may be too tight, and that scrubs off a ton of speed in the karts, since you are working with not much HP. The trick is to be as free as possible and still be able to hold on to it. You can still spin out (like you did) when you're too tight, if your kart pushes up into the slick stuff. Also, when the track is rubbered in and has a ton of grip, you can definitely prep your tires TOO much. That's why some of those guys you are racing against have 30 wheels and tires of various compounds up in their haulers. The track will usually get more grip through the evening, so it's nice to have some less prepped/harder compound tires to run in the later races.
I don't even mess with the low hp stuff because of all this. Prepped slicks and one line racing isn't for me. I like having enough hp to throw a slider if I need to or being able to run the top.
Keep your head up Joshua, ain't nothing but rust!!! Those times don't lie ... it's rust. When you get to run 3 or 4 weeks in a row... Then let's re-evaluate!!! You've come a very long way in a very short period of time brother ... seat-time and feeling!!!! Hat's off to Mr. Dave once again... Mr Dave, lookin good bud --- keep with it!!! Be Safe
First time watching. Found your site after you were filming at Volusia Speedway Park. You do a great job. Sorry about the go-kart accident. People don't realize how fast those karts go. You are on the edge every lap. Good luck in the future.
Man that sucks. Looking better every time out though. Didn't you say that was the fastest you've been there? That's something to build on. You'll get there. Good job as always Mr. Dave. God bless
May be a good time to get in the Dirt Daddy 56 and do some laps in it. Then go get the kart again and have a refocused mindset on things. But, like the others said I can tell your improving each time, but that place reminds me of a mix of NASCAR Bristol and Martinsville as much bumping and stuff happens. Lol !! Keep it up and Hunt The Front
Riding with you bud.... it looks to mee like you need to make the track wider... your staying to low in the strights and keeping yourself bogged ... widen your entry and exits make the turns as wide as you can and STAY SMOOTH... work the mid turn wiggle out ;) Hope this Helps and Good Luck to you and Mr Dave !
I do not frequent your videos but Mr.Dave is really awesome. Good content. I like it, and Thank you. I just started dirt kart Racing this year. Our karts aren't like these. But still fun.
Keep hunting for the front. You just started in Kart and getting faster even after being away for a month or more. I never raced Karts, but I know when I started racing I never won anything in my first year.
Noticed your alot smoother thru the corners now. Remember what your brother said, make an arch in and don't pinch it. 👍🇺🇸🏁 Looking alot better tho . Enjoy your updates too
Sounds like it's setup a little to tight. Boggin when your turnin. And having to turn to much is making it feel loose to ya. Good luck, you're doing great 👍
Good try racing luck will come to you and you will forget the bad luck love the channel and look forward to parting addition with you and mr Dave . How to you get a word in with mr Dave around.
I've always found it better to let out and back into the throttle in clone races let the motor breath and allowing the kart to roll in and unroll coming out the corner giving me a slight momentum boost
i think you should try out a different track, that place looks rough as hell. But maybe a different gear set up would help, get that engine screaming lol
Oughta come up here to Possum Kingdom 1/4 mile. Fastest track in the south east. That track there looks dusty and rough. Can’t say I’ve ever raced karts on a track as dusty as that.
At least where I live in NC you can buy used ones that are a few years old that are all the way put together you just have to set them up and change the weight and stuff for you class
My son race against you a few weeks back in Callahan but we’ve been racing in Nashville, GA the past couple of weeks. We have two videos on our channel and look forward to racing with you and meeting you in the future.
I ain’t understanding the drivers meeting, the official say “no rough driving no bumping no lane changes & we’re gonna have men in the corner watching”. But yet these are the roughest drivers I’ve seen in a long while. Keep your head up Joshua, you do have a fast kart & you do put down some fast laps. But you seem to get shafted a lot, being bumped out of the groove & up in the loose stuff. You’ll get though buddy, just hang in there & thank ya Mr. Dave you’re good help & a very patient man.
I’m usually competitive in anything I do... I have good hand eye, and I just do my research and do the work that needs done... I’m sure you know.... Karting ain’t easy... as much as I HATE seeing this happen, and I love seeing wins, I do look forward to seeing what you do to get the speed... I like the behind the scenes late model garage stuff too... what’s Dave doing to the new tires when he mounts them... scuff em, inside prep..? Ect... Maybe show a video of him stretching a tire to size or something too..?
Main thing is you did'nt get hurt , i was in a wreck did'nt hit anybody i was leaning against another cart and somebody hit me at full speed got 2 bruised ribs , was in pain for a month .
Need to try just lifting, no braking. I don't think you can run 100% wide open at that track with the way the corners are.. It's really just all about getting seat time, once you figure out exactly how you need to run the track to be fast you'll be more consistent every week.
Hey Joshua. Way to stay in it. I used to run Maxville Speedway back in 2014. I’ve raced at Callahan a million times. Looks like the track has went through some major changes. I think your motor needs freshened up on the top end. Get you a Radical engine. Hit me up on Instagram if you want some info on motors and stuff.
Just my opinion but it looks like you were not on the correct gear for the track conditions. The track looked a lot dustier than your previous videos probably had more grip which is the reason the lap times were faster. No slimy mud on top. You could probably stand to go up on your rear gear when the track is that way. Keep going up one or two teeth at a time until your lap times top out. Could even try just a simple up in the air pressure to get more roll speed since there’s more grip available and you don’t have to make it with lower tire pressure. Keep digging and don’t make big changes. Then you won’t know what works. Have to take lumps to figure it out. Good luck!
Gotta get on that rollspeed dynamics tire cut and prep. Many wins on maxxis/Vega and Burris tires. Only thing I see wrong is u are geared too high. That mychron needs to be flashing red just before you enter the turn so drop either the driver or axle gear. Your getting drug out of the exit if your geared up. Call engine builder ask what the max rpm it can handle and push it 100 more rpm. That don’t work call tod Miller in Salisbury nc or moon racing engines and get a clone that can handle 7000 rpm. Really want to see you get a money race win
dude, unfortunately thats called racing. You did good though you are really improving on your skills and I can foresee you winning a feature or three soon.
Thanks Mr Dave for keeping that kart up and running
gotta say after watching your racing on here ,it has given me the bug to get me and my 9 yr daughter into some kart racing . . looks so fun plus I'll get to spend priceless time with the family... sooo thanks man
Just sending prayers out to my neighbors here in Tennessee. The tornado missed me bye 15 miles. Thank you Lord.

Heads up guys!! Y'all were fast!! Bad draws didn't help!! And remember " Live for the race not the win"!! Love the videos, keep'em coming!!
Man Joshua, it's a new kind of racing for you. Keep your head up and enjoy it. There is a track 5 minutes from my house but like u I cut my teeth with stock cars. But watching u makes me want a go kart. Keep it up bubba u got this!

You were really fast in the hot lap session.Great effort. !!!
Hang in there man... Things will work out sooner or later ! That's racing

Second this about the tires ^^^^^

Been waiting for this video. Don't let bad luck get you down, at some point you will get a run where everything goes your way.
Just one of those nights.
Hang in there YOU and Mr Dave will get it!!
Keep your head up buddy you got this..
Keep your head up Joshua, ain't nothing but rust!!! Those times don't lie ... it's rust. When you get to run 3 or 4 weeks in a row... Then let's re-evaluate!!! Glad to see you back out there!
Hang in there! It's a definite learning curve!
You're getting so much better now , it's all in your tire prep now. Get your tires right an you'll be unstoppable
Man that sucks. Looking better every time out though. Didn't you say that was the fastest you've been there? That's something to build on. You'll get there. Good job as always Mr. Dave. God bless

Tough night man! Keep pushing. You have the background to be at the front. You'll get there. I enjoyed the video.

Still need to go to Jasper
Way it goes brother!! It's coming Josh 🤙🤙
Ups and downs of racing keep head up
Keep at Joshua. The good night's will come.
Keep hunting for the front. You just started in Kart and getting faster even after being away for a month or more. I never raced Karts, but I know when I started racing I never won anything in my first year.
Keep up the work!
Sounds to me like it's binding in the corners on the second heat race, about to watch the feature
Hopefully better luck next time. Still enjoyed watching the race
Keep after it dude. You’ll get it figured out.
May try take your rear right rim out an 8th inch. May help with the corner speed.
so used to seeing shifter karts, thats a tiny axle. hard hit brother, hope it works out for you, ice your ribs.
Killing it and hot laps
Noticed your alot smoother thru the corners now. Remember what your brother said, make an arch in and don't pinch it. 👍🇺🇸🏁
Looking alot better tho . Enjoy your updates too
You had a great effort but that is racing love your videos 👍
Looked fast. Don't know if it will stick till you push looked good though
You should race the limiteds!
Can I just say it looks like they never wet the track down
Sounds like it's setup a little to tight. Boggin when your turnin. And having to turn to much is making it feel loose to ya. Good luck, you're doing great 👍
Bad night for the 27 car hopefully you get the 27 car fix and try another race
Good try racing luck will come to you and you will forget the bad luck love the channel and look forward to parting addition with you and mr Dave . How to you get a word in with mr Dave around.
Don’t give up man your doing great I know it don’t seem like it but you will win soon
If your fast in practice, then you need to go to less aggressive tire/harder for rest of day
Your trail breaking looks good
I've always found it better to let out and back into the throttle in clone races let the motor breath and allowing the kart to roll in and unroll coming out the corner giving me a slight momentum boost
and just like that....yuse all by yourself. damn that some quick racing.
Keep ya chin up. You’re getting faster.
i think you should try out a different track, that place looks rough as hell. But maybe a different gear set up would help, get that engine screaming lol
TIRE PREP!!!
Oughta come up here to Possum Kingdom 1/4 mile. Fastest track in the south east. That track there looks dusty and rough. Can’t say I’ve ever raced karts on a track as dusty as that.
You need to come to the new possum kingdom super speedway its back open with a great owner clint mills look it up biggest kart track around
What's your tach saying your temp & max rpm's were?
Your left front tire looks wide enough to be a left rear lol
Just wondering what chassis are y’all on? Phantom racing chassis I’m guessing?
Prowler
You need some dirt tires. Haha
How much do I need to start me up a go kart to run in something like this? I live in Callahan. Also, are there certain specs etc
At least where I live in NC you can buy used ones that are a few years old that are all the way put together you just have to set them up and change the weight and stuff for you class
What size engines tall run
What motor you guys run
Joshua come on man let's go
My son race against you a few weeks back in Callahan but we’ve been racing in Nashville, GA the past couple of weeks. We have two videos on our channel and look forward to racing with you and meeting you in the future.
What's the name of the channel!???
@@johnsharpe1118 just click there name and hit view videos !!
@@chadalac1977 lol!! I never knew that! Thank you 🤙
Need to prep the in side of ur tiers
also would help to put a 450 on the left front instead of a 600 , but what do i know 🤷♂️

Hey joiners.. are you going to be running at alltec speedway in florida this weekend? I know hollis farms will be there!!
what motor is this class?
Yall need to come to Thanksgiving Thunder at Georgia Karting Koplex!
Sounds like you need more gear to get off the corners.
Very little room for error in karts, especially when someone is coming down into you, keep at it tho! Love the Joshua videos.
If anyone really likes the cart videos, try following the original poster, Midpack Mania. Makes sone good cart vids!
Watching you made me come out of retirement
You need your tires to duro between 30 an 35
Main thing is you did'nt get hurt , i was in a wreck did'nt hit anybody i was leaning against another cart and somebody hit me at full speed got 2 bruised ribs , was in pain for a month .
Free front of that kart up scrubbing too much speed in corner and maybe drop a tooth on rear sprocket but you are getting closer
Count your blessings, could've ripped off the intake, too...get em next time!
That’s racing

I went into the corner tryed to have a days of thunder moment and it didnt hold
Sometimes your the windshield, sometimes your the bug
Are you not racing karts anymore? It's been 8 months since your last video
Just my opinion but it looks like you were not on the correct gear for the track conditions. Your HUNTIN THE FRONT with the wrong end of cart!! Doesn’t count if the front hunts you lol
Go down a couple of teeth. The track gets dry and hard and speeds should reflect. Watch rpms!
Message Justin Dopson for the best tire prep in kart racing. His home track is Talladega Raceway Park.
Sometimes youre the windshield, sometimes youre the bug. It happens.
Make the repairs, come back, and give em hell
dude, unfortunately thats called racing. You did good though you are really improving on your skills and I can foresee you winning a feature or three soon.
how did Peanut Peanut do that night?
Rough night but your luck has to turn eventually.
Not sure I like the karts seems to be just one line and the only way to pass is to move the person.
Keep your head up guys! Get Er fixed and get back at it! Yeah that start at the first feature was GARBAGE!!
Just some advice, you need to either tighten the kart up or do about 2 or 3 more rolls of tire prep
Your having to brake the kart too much in the turns if your having issues in the turns try more cross, more nose weight and double check stagger
Probably should have Johnathan drive it or rename your team " Rounding up the Rear"
You have got to free that kart up your bogging the motor down way to much and its killing you center off
Unless you’re gearing is a mile off that engine needs threw in the dumpster
My name is B3 and I’m the 57
