@@Axemanvan Litterally just watch them skinning for hours, watch Bjorne fliming them coming up a skin track for 20 mins. Listening to the quietness of the mountains. Love it.
I'm so stoked for you to finish this incredible journey but also am going to be so sad that it will be over. I've started touring around the cascades in large part to you. Safe skiing Cody!
It might look like he's getting close, but there's some burly routes still on the list like the NF or Mount Robson. So expect episodes to come with lots of effort expended!
Superb. I've been waiting for this one. I did this in April 1990 with Chic Scott (guide). We also headed to the Beaver River a tad early, ie, via the Grand Glacier, skipping Sugarloaf. History: My sister's father-in-law was David Hope-Simpson, after whom Mt David is named, as he climbed it when working as a mining engineer there in 1949-1953. Oh: And we went N to S also. The trip took us 14 days and we had one rather large avalanche that carried us down 300 feet or so (no injuries; this was climbing to Climax Col). What a thrill it was to reach Bugaboo Lodge those 32 years ago. That was my first ski traverse, but since then I have done about 10 (MUCH shorter ones) in the Selkirks, Purcells, and western side of the Rockies. Another bit of history: Roberts (Bob) French was in my running club in western Mass. I did not know that he was first on this route until a day before we started.
Wicked content Cody, can't wait for the following episodes. On the topic of traverses and overnight ski tour camping, any chance you could create a video going over some basics and tips? I'm doing the Bow-Yoho this spring and would love to have some tips to take with me!
Continued thanks for making these videos! Love watching you guys wander through the snow & mountains while I sit in my snow covered Jacuzzi at home. Keep the content coming.
What’s up Cody! Always great to see what adventures you’re up to! Amazing project you’re doing! The hanging glacier and seracs @ 8:28 were beautiful yet frightening! The Canadian Rockies are on another level! Good call on the route adjustment with the impending storm and new loading. Hope the food cache survived! I have a story about a bear vacationing in an exotic game hunter’s second home. A bears gotta eat!!! 😂 You sure have come a long way from slinging cookies at Wildflour! I worked next to you at Sharpshooters many many moons ago. Love to work with you on a photo project someday! See ya on the mountain brotha! ❄️🥶❄️
Congrats, Papa Cody! Thanks for the output recently. I finally caught up on the 3 latest as my geeky videos export. Time for the music equipment to gather dust as we chase the Colorado powder and couloirs! Absolutely stellar adventures and production! My only wish is that each would be 1-2hrs;-). Best in the new and upcoming adventures at home and around! I dragged my kids around trails and up mountains since they could hold their heads up in the baby carry pack! ShOUT! Clint
Hiya folks. Just to let you know part one and two aren't on The Fifty playlist. I'm currently binge watching the playlist so I was a little confused starting in part three. 🤣❄️🍻👍
Cody: I’m going to recommend you to come and speak at the Explorers club in New York. It would be awesome to have you. Can you please possibly consider making some merchandise that says “the adventure isn’t over until you get back to the car?”
KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid)....this way alot of sketchy vs this way less sketchy .....lol Anything but Mellow ...always envolves Bjarne, yourself, and guests....Part 1 sets the stage for part 2 and 3, I am HOOKED like everyone else in your community!!! Bugs to Rogers traverse with wild weather fluctuations (What could go wrong)....Food Cache is a teaser (OMG) As Always, cant wait to see future episode.....(we need baby cams from home.....Indy updates etc) BE SAFE and as always .....Keep the Passion flowing!!! I really enjoyed this episode as much if not more than your other episodes. Great content great attitudes amazing footage. But I think the thing that made it most enjoyable was the soundtrack you chose, the sounds of TV shows of a past era. Glad you guys had such an amazing adventure. Keep rocking those dad bods
So I just bought that Hyperlite pack and tried it on with it fully packed. Came to this video to see what else I needed to try to pack into the bag. Had my Nemo Switchback strapped to the side. And then those shots at the beginning, and I'm standing in my bathroom looking in the mirror and I see a girl version of Cody Townsend, ready to shred it. :)
Which month did you do it? You used to put dates on the older episodes. I am going there for a week this season , so super stoked with the recent releases! Awesome photography, commentary and soundtrack as always
We need an "uncut" longer version of these!
YOU can always wait til 2 and 3 come out and watch it in full.....lol
@@Whistler326 that’s not what uncut means… he wants the pieces they cut out

Jon Walsh's lead in the Deville chimney on the first rogers to bugs is legendary.
The music in this one is awesome!
That's a really nice episode, as usual! Although I do admire the insanity of getting new boots and new inserts for a multi-day traverse.
That power move from Bjarne at 14:00, another great episode guys!
He knows his cameras

Absolutely loved this episode! Great filming by Bjarne and the music was excellent. You guys rock!
Ya I was liking the music too.
This 1 is just crazy! And that looked like a critter dragging away some bags in the end teaser there, that can't be good. Roll on Part 2
Great episode. Like the cliff hanger part deux. Well done!
Nice music choices!
Nothing like having a case of the ol' brown blizzard when you're miles into the backcountry. Now, that's living!
Now I can't wait until the next episode will came. Again!

So glad I waited for part 2 to come out haha
Great film. Epic filmmaking and adventure. Looking forward to more.
Coool 😊 another grand aventure !!! 😊❤
Great video! Can't wait to see the rest!!
Killer helmet!⛑ Great episode as always!
Covering your snow benches at camp with Spruce bows really offers a nice layer between you and the snow. And it smells nice. Love your work.
I prefer to just use foam camp pads. Though bows are an option, it’s less damaging to the environment to bring your own bench seat
Nice guys. Treking over Grizzly dens without waking ‘em up.That’s some epic terrain. Also love the SHOWtunes.Looking forward to Part 2.

Basic gear, no GPS inReach beacons, no weather forecasts.

End of April into May.
Love the 60’s film music! (I was a late adolescent then😊). S**t. Maybe you didn’t even realize the source of this music😅. Great video in any case😊
What's your decision making for whether to bring the ascent plate snowshoes on steep climbs?
These days I bring them a ton. But for a traverse, it's a little too luxurious of an item to bring.
Whats that jacket from? (the green gore tex one) 🔥
its a green goretex one
Does Salomon make those pants in brown??? 😅
Great ep.& looking forward to the next. How are you getting on with the new liners?
Stepping up the music choices on this episode!
Siiick! What brand of tent is that??
It’s a Hyperlite UltaMid 4
What does Bjarne’s breadcrumb map look like? I’m guessing he is covering another 50% more than anyone else to set up the distant shots…
too short. i need so much more of this
two more episodes to come.
Is that a Gore Tex shell?
no.
Hi Cody... great episode once again - nice. What type of "socks" or "boots" do you use in camp to keep warm feet?
Hey Cody, can I ask you what grey hoody you are wearing? It doesn't look very Salomon but I like the look of the fabric for a base layer..
It’s a LeBent sample. Their new award winning NuYarn hoodie.
Question about the new boots:
WHAT ARE THOSE?! 😊
(Love your adventures !)
The Salomon Summit MTN boots
der muh ski boots
😉
Everybody: Do you 4:20 on your extended wilderness trips (when in relative safety)? How does it affect the overall experience?
What goretex green jacket is that??
Need that!
It's a Salomon GTX shell
This is my World Cup
