This channel is so underrated. Good job making such great content!
Comparing them to an headset that is 2x more expensive (atleast where I live), is not the most unbiased way of comparing it.
I'm also wondering how they're simultaneously not that comfortable despite the fact that he forgets they're on his head. Every review I've seen has said they're comfortable and more than good enough for gaming. I already have nice music headphones, but I want something that is comfortable to wear for hours, and these seem to nail it
exactly what I said, he's also using the SE, which the mic is way worse than the non SE version, and if he thinks that SE sounds good, makes you question his ear lol.
@@berengerchristy6256 They are not comfortable, sending mine back.
@@LeyerTech love mine. Comfortable as hell.
@@damien2729 its not worse anymore that was fixed by a software update
I own this headset. I'm actually currently using them. Sound wise I actually prefer them to the GSP 670 for in game audio positioning. You need to tweek the EQ settings though. All of the stock settings are pretty bad. A quick google search will give you good equalizer settings (my EQ pattern looks almost like a big V). The earcups are very comfortable and have a nice material but do get a tad hot after a while. For me the only thing holding this headset back from being an amazing wireless headset is the overall comfort. Honestly, they are comfortable enough but I think you understate how they aren't the most comfortable. I have a larger head and don't have the same problem some people have (apparently a lot of people find the top headband less than comfortable). For my head I have the side adjustments on notch 7 (They go from 0-10). When I first bought them the clamping force also was too tight but give them a good bend and honestly they will be fine. What I do find though is that the headset just seems too heavy. Like honestly my neck muscles start being sore after a while.
What about bass? Or the boomy sound while watching movies like explosions?
@@sadaharu_tr I don't have it tuned for bass but it definitely is not super punchy. I obviously hear the bass but it's again not real punchy. But the overall audio quality is really good and clear.
Does any one know how to clean the RGB on the SE? Mine his dust stuck on them blocking the rgb:(
Do u also experience virtuoso not being detected by icue?
i feel like any video w the stream room is an instant favorite for me.
Love my CORSAIR, after endless problems with numerous pairs of @Razer Nari headphones - with Razer USBs forever going wrong - I’ve had many months perfect use of my @Corsair Virtuoso and love them.
I'm currently rocking the 2019 Arctis 3 Bluetooth with my PCs and Xbox. The mic quality isn't the greatest, so i'm looking for something new for gaming purposes. Great video!
Greg Russell dont buy this headset is not really comfortable for you my friend have it and he returned it a week later
Thanks for the honest review, i recently picked up a set after rebuilding a new desk setup as they appeared promising and well built. I used Logi G930's(finally fell apart) and AudioTechnica M50x's at the desk for many years as reference, nothing fancy but i liked them for casual use. I use a Wharfedale Diamond/Marantz combo for my 2.0 and 5.2.2 HT/Console gaming use. I was involved in 12v and DIY with raw drivers/enclosure building for 12 years before children came. Now its B&W in my volvo S90 and my wifes Aviator Revel Audio implementation on the road. After years playing with Scans, Morel, Seas drivers i'm now a has-been but i love good sound, specially at decent price points. You know what? I feel these are GREAT for the $140 or so you can get the non-Se for . I think at this price point you might be able to find lighter, more comfortable sets to wear, but perhaps not the have the total package (Overall Sound/Mic/Build quality) these offer. Not to mention in this category , these stage very well, great neutral tonal quality and are unoffensive. I agree they are not so awesome they are end game for audiophiles but they are certainly in the conversation with pricier 'gaming headsets' for whatt it offers. I'm actually now very curious to what these sound like for music off a solid DAC. I feel this is a great all-arounder that would put a smile on many gamer's faces and that sound pretty dang good for music.
Can confirm the volume, mine never leaves 20%. I really enjoy my pair but I’ve never owned anything much nicer then them so the build quality and sound quality stood out to me
Thats how i feel they’re going to be for me, been using a one sided basic turtle beach for forever
Can highly recommend these headphones. Had them for months know and I play almost daily and have nothing but good things to say. They are definitely not the cheapest, but if you can make them work in your budget do it!
Do they have voice pass through?
@@jackveal8792 Yes that is the side turn he was talking about, feeds mic input back into the headset so you can hear yourself (and therefore less likely to talk loud to make up for lack of hearing yourself).
Are they comfortable and have really good sound?
@@carlosduran2800 the sound is amazing. I had to put foam in the ear cuffs because there wasn't enough. cushion. Not ideal but worked
Thanks for the great review. I received mine yesterday.
I have a question regarding your gaming in COD:MW, were you using 7.1 surround or Windows sonic sound?
Because in COD particularly, the 7.1 sounded broken while going through the menu pages in PC. Still haven't tried other games yet. Need your experience in this cause I feel mine kinda broken. But while Windows Sonic enabled, it worked out perfectly.
I recently got these set them to 7.1 and set the sampling to max studio quality and they sound great :OO ! i also only use this wired
How can you save the settings? Because once I bring the headset back to my ps4 it goes back to default settigns :(
Thank you for your honest rating I was tired of other youtubers saying how amazing they are so I didn't trust them. But now I feel like I can trust your opinion thank you for staying honest.
I’m using the Siberia 840, which is a great headset imo (a bit expensive, but I was lucky to get them for just $140)
I’m just not sure whether to “upgrade” or not. They sound good and all, just feel like they’ve started to loose quality. I never use the mic, as it’s horrible. And I never use the station. Only time I’ve really used it was to setup the profiles in order to use it on my PC. And the detachable mic is really cool as I’ve bought a modmic wireless for when I record videos in VR.
This headset is interesting, and if you’ve ever tried the Siberia 840’s, how do they compare to the these? Thank you for the amazing video, you’re hella underrated for the quality you produce. Your audio is amazing, video quality is amazing, the editing is amazing, your thumbnails are amazing and the whole channel is amazing. Keep up the work boss
Teo: ya know I only was able to do that with my CORSAIR VIRTUAOSO RGB WIRELESS
I can't believe I just came across a Teo reference comment.. I mean, it's a Corsair Virtuoso review, I should've known xD
Looks like I need to snag a pair. Great video as usual!
Thank you for your input, I just bought these like 15 min ago lol. I haven’t purchased any headsets in awhile. Just got back into gaming like then end of 2019 . I have the PS4 pro, watched numerous reviews . I will check these out when they come in. What headset do you consider “Amazing” or recommend?
Excellent video fams. I remember when these first came out and they were being praised across the board. Good to hear some thoughts from you after using for 4 months.
I'm still rocking a set of Turtle Beach Stealth 600 bought two and a half years ago. For me they sound good and can easily switch between Xbox/PC.
Yeah unfortunately these don't work with the Xbox. I don't understand why Microsoft locks it down so much.
stream room so pink. i love it.

Great video fams, keep up the good work
Hi
G pro x Wireless or Virtuoso?
Took them back immediately because the sound quality was so flat. I have everything Corsair, and the headphones are beautiful, and the mic is so good! But the sound... I was so disappointed I had to take them back. Thanks for the review! (and confirming)
I've had these for about 5 or 6 months, and overall I can recommend them. For a wireless headset the audio is pretty good and the mic is great for my needs. I have however had some hardware issues. The main one is that the audio wheel is too stiff and when I turn it, the windows audio change is almost entirely random (meaning that the same turn sometimes adds for example 6 volume and sometimes 20, quite annoying). The other issue is that my left ear cup's 180° swivel has become very loose. When I first unboxed them, the turn was nice and firm. The right one is still good, but for some reason the left is turning with almost no resistance, also very annoying. There is no screw that would tighten the fit, so no way I can fix it myself. I assume I just got a bad model. But again, overall they're a good buy.
Hi if I turn 7.1 surround sound on, on my laptop and then take it out and put in my PS4 will it still have 7.1 surround sound
@@anonymousgaming7915 I don't think so, It says here help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034458392-Virtuoso-RGB-Wireless-Gaming-Headset-FAQ that 7.1 surround sound only works with PC.
@@SulphurKnight Send those things back. Sounds like you got a faulty pair. I have no problem with the volume rocker or the swivel.
@@hatemail9148 I think that's the case, I contacted support, but since I bought from a 'uncertified reseller', they cant refund me unfortunately.
Nice video! Is the sidetone strong enough? I have Logitech G935 but sidetone is really low, i end up screaming in my apex nights xD
Thanks for the great video! I just bought these and they are just awesome.
Only thing is that the sidetone is VERY low, even on max setting within windows and icue. I went into properties of both headset and mic, all seemed to be fine and set to 100%). On low sound volume it's ok but as soon as I play something midly loud the sidetone just can't compete.
Did you notice this on your version while testing? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
How is the comfort? And the sound quality?
I just picked up a pair of the Corsair Void Elite Wireless from a local shop for ~$80.00 USD. They sound pretty ok to good for gaming and watching Netflix/Amazon Videos. Decent range. It’s hard for me to justify spending much more than that on a set of headphones unless you really really need very good, accurate, no distortion sound. And for that application, spending less than $3-400 is wasting your money IMHO.
been using the void elite wireless for over a year, am planning on getting a pair of these walmart has them for 185. the voids will be used for my PS4 only when I get these.
I just picked up this headset about a week ago. I agree with everything you have said. This is my first wireless headset, I'm coming off of about 8 years with a pair of Astro A40s. I don't know if it the Virtuosos would sound better wired yet but in wireless mode they sound pretty bad.. They are SO tinny and unnatural sounding compared to my A40s. Maybe that's cause I'm used to an open back?? Messing with the EQ helps but they are still give me a sound I can only compare with a school intercom. Other then I do really appreciate the build quality and the functionality of the mic and easy plug and play wireless. Great video, keep it up. I just subed cause of this video.
do you have an issue with disconnecting using the wireless dongle?
Richard Yanez like the wireless signal cutting out, or dropping all together? No I haven’t had any issues with connectivity. Have you?
Thanks for the review :D
I have the steelseries arctis pro wireless, Astro a50 (aka trash), and the Corsair void elite wireless and I'm about to go to Best buy and trade these Logitech g pro x wireless for the Corsair virtuoso se. My only concern is the comfort. Some people get discomfort after a while and some don't.
So would u rather g pro x of the Corsair Virtuoso?
Hi, thanks for nice review... If you have to choose between Sennheiser GSP670, Corsair Virtuoso SE or Audio-Technica ATH-G1WL, what will be your choice? Thanks
Dude, nice quality in video! I personally have been enjoying these for about a month now, and man I do love me a properly priced pair of headsets, especially wireless, now.
To understand, I bought my first wireless headset back b/w 2011-13....this was probably at the beginnings of wireless gaming headsets, cuz these ones I got back then were absolute garbage (Afterglow). The USB Dongle Receiver was trash, and would receive transmission interferences if near other cables, inputs, etc (would either crackle, hum, or just drone loudly). On top of that, its frame was cheap plastic, shedding light-plastic coating around the earcups, *extremely* bright LEDs that had very odd brightness settings (i'd turn them off anyways), and a house phone quality mic (AKA: was trash). Those were $80...they were the first and last wireless headphones I ever wanted to purchase...
...until now.
I've seen the trends and spikes in wireless gaming headsets, and had a friend buy a new pair of Wireless Steel Series Arctis 7s, and said the audio was stupendous and the delay times were seamless. This made me want to go an extra few bucks for the detachable mic, RGB, and Corsair pairing with my PC....and voila: here we are.
Great vid, again man! Keep us all aware, and informed! Cheers!
i appreciate the honesty. know what im getting into now. what did you think of them in comparison to the corsair void pros?
Void pros are a pile of steaming hot garbage
I have a lot of experience with the wired razer man o war and the sony mdr 1000x. Since I am used to those rather than something like your sennheiser's, do you think I will be disappointed in the comfort or audio quality?
Great video. I am thinking to use it for gaming live streaming.... do you recommend? I have a MV51, but seems not suitable to record in home...
How do these hold up with the PS4? In regards to lag, battery life and overall sound, are they worth the money. I dont have a PC and am looking for a good pair of wireless headphones for my PS4, should I pick it up?
I just picked up the Sennheiser Momentum 2 wire/wireless for $127 and I love them. Huge upgrade over the Corsair Void Pros I was running before and for a Headset that ran $500 not a bad deal, Trivium never sounded so good.
The void pros are not good lol 🤣
Gear Seekers nope they were comfortable though lol and cheap but I never realized how much additional sound I was missing out on until now.
Out of curiosity do y’all use a DAC or AMP or a combo unit like the Schiit Fulla 3 I was considering weather it’s a worthwhile investment.
I got mine today too (ok mine are the XT) and i was a little bit put down, that my old Sony MDR-1000X sound better when it comes to music, even tough the Sony tend to be a bit bassy, but even then they sound i don't know how to say ?Broader?
whats the difference between the special edition and the non special edition?
Good review! Thanks for helping with my headphone decisions!
I'm using the Philips SHP 9500 with Creatives G6 dac and V-MODA BoomPro Microphone. Excellent sound and the very best price to performance out there, in my opinion. The headphone by themselves are very good, but missing something? With the G6, their special and with the V-Moda boom pro mic just take the experience to another level. The headset is under $100. The G6 DAC is under $150, and the mic is under $30. My only issue is with the "open Back" headset design. When I'm Jamming to music or playing games, my wife says she can clearly hear them in the next room. I will admit, i play them with the volume higher than most (bad hearing, military), but they are clearly annoying to those NOT listening to them. They are a wired headset and coming from wireless headphones (Corsairs pros), the wire took a lot of getting used to, but the sound is so amazing, even to my deaf ears, I will never go back. My wife will have to pull my setup from my Dead Cold Hands! Great video mate. Tell Claire hi !

I'm using the Corsair HS60 Pro Surround. Like them, love the removable mic and mute button on the left side. Virtual Surround through ICUE sounds better than letting Windows use the Spatial option.
Are they 7.1 surround sound on ps4
did you try to use dolby atmos with this headset? i think it improves de sound, more in games.

Thanks for the review. On another note, any plans to review the new coolermaster mh630s? The previous gen mh751/mh752 were one of the best in 2019
Yeah they are coming shortly
I was hoping this video would answer a specific question that would help me make a purchase in the near future-
how well does this headset take amplified sound from a DAC? i have a soundblaster X-fi sound card in my PC. it amplifies the sound on analog headsets and it's been honestly pretty amazing. i used it with some headphones i got from F.Y.E a while back ( clearance sale, they ended up being amazing ) .
now with those F.Y.E headphones and my current PC set up, the bass and sound levels were brain-meltingly amazing. up until they blew out, at least. in fact my question is regarding that- i have this corsair virtuoso headset and for gaming i prefer to use the analog line due to volume and quality (better bass and clarity), however it doesnt seem to perform like those other headphones at max volume. it crackles and sounds like they're going to explode. however i seem to have some experience with this also being because they are not getting enough power. do you know if is this the case?
the information i was hoping to get from you was how much power and volume can these take from a DAC, as well as how "orgasmic" can music be with them when amplified in that manner. I am considering a DAC purchase for this reason, so if you can help with that and maybe even give a recommendation, that'd be awesome.
thanks!
Hey did you find that the small switch on the headset is a bit loose and rattles around slightly? I got the headset a few days ago and feel this is a small problem that's getting more annoying each day
Cool video, but I think the Void Pro were really good personally, in sound and voice output. I think the non SE version of these are much better though.
Thank you. Only positive reviews on yt but reviews on Amazon not so much..
So what's the alternative?
What you called boring details gave me information to make an informed decision. Not boring at all! Smarter that those who go for flash and entertainment rather than information. Your video moves along and says what needs to be said! That being said, since I mostly use my headsets for PS4 these aren’t the ones for me.
Am I the only one who doesn’t enjoy the empty sound of the virtuoso for the price? I tried and compared these next to the hyper x cloud 2 wireless and thought the C2W is considerably tighter in terms of EQ and sound. I returned mine within a few hours. I’m sad bc I do love the look but the sound killed it for me.
virtuoso vs steel series arctis 7 vs razer blackshark v2 pro which one do you recommend in 2020 ?
Can you please do a direct comparison between the arctis 9x vs the corsair Virtuoso RGB SE headsets as I love the build quality of the Corsair, but also love features of the 9x as I am a pc and console player, but haven't heard and sounds (Demos) from them as I can only order online. (Not available at my local store). Can you give me your opinion on fit, sound, mic.. etc... Especially vs one another. Thanks.
Good review, thanks for not going goo goo ga ga over a product like every other reviewer. Stay safe.
How does the mic on this compare to the wireless modmic by antlion? seems like most wireless mics are pure garbage including the mic on the Corsair HS70, but this one and the modmic seem decent, I cant find a direct comparison between the 2 though
hey GS , im new to the channel. Your content is truly awesome! Ive owned this headset for 4 months too, and i have an issue regarding the Mini-USB Microphone connector, is all jacked up on one side from all the unplugging and plugging in. Ive contacted corsair and They are sending a new headset out to me . I have also had a Popping noise on the mic, and im really big into microphones and the popping Ps to re-create the noise and i cannot recreate this issue. Imo i think the Mini-USB is messing with it. My New one should be here in a week. Just really disapointed because i was the corsair posterboy Lol, I wish but you get what im saying.
That sucks that happened to you! But I guess the silver lining is that Corsair are great with these kinds of issues and have sorted you out with a replacement!
Hope the new set does the job! Oh and welcome to the channel too! :)
Did you previously try the Void? How much of an improvement is the Virtuoso on it.
the void was terribad

That drop out is a tonne better than the Logitech G933 - mine are dropping out 2 ft from the computer several times an hour since they updated to G-Hub.
I found the Logitech G935 are not very loud and not as good as vold pro which is joke when a vold pro cost £70 and the Logitech G935 was £130. Send both back and try this headset
I'm using the Astro A40 with the TR DAC. They started to randomly mute the audio so I spent the better bart of last week trying to figure out what to buy next. I purchased the Arctis pro wireless last night and I hope the price is worth it

Seriously the only way to go for me is getting actual high quality high ohm headphones and with a decent DAC and putting a Modmic on it.
Been Using My beyerdynamic DT770 for 8 years now, changed out pads and soldered a new 3.5mm jack on it.
These are nearly indestructible, accidently sat on them more than few dozen times and they are still kicking and as rigid as ever while abulutely pleasent to wear.
i love watching a smaller channel ive never seen before and hear come follow on floatplane lmfao
Funny how opinions differ. I just returned my GSP 670 today. To me they sounded pretty average, too average for almost 300€. Also I had lots of distortion on the communication audio, the range is a joke and the build quality is so so (mine had QS issues with the right earcup being way too easy to adjust while the left one was much tighter in the hight adjustment). And when I played a game with it (Hunt Showdown). God, my Hyper X Cloud II sound better and they cost me 80€ and not 300€..
Not to mention for a wireless headset the Corsair have a really good mic quality! I'll give em a try, can't sound worse to me than the 100€ more expensive Sennheiser.
Mine lasted 4 hours, all that time was spent messing with the EQ to get them to sound as good as my voids, which they didn’t...
pretty much every other review ive watched said they werent very loud.
It's interesting you said they're super loud... everyone other review says they're super quiet

Could be their volume setting for you since in discord you can change individuals volume when you right click on their name?
Increase your mic volume then.
The regular (non-SE) version actually has the better mic for anyone interested in them. The range at 60ft is pretty much the best you can get. 20h batter is amazing. The only negative is the RGB which is... worthless and just drains some power if you don't turn it off.
@Cum in belly button RGB is just style. To me, it's a complete waste and I really dislike it on anything other than a keyboard that has some lighting so you can see it well in the dark. I dislike most RGB but it's so hard to find stuff that doesn't have it. It almost feels like when movies would charge you more cuz they did a shitty '3D' version of the film that's totally not worth it but enough people fall for it that they're making extra money on it.
i’m planning to get the normal version(non se) and i’ve heard that it isn’t really comfortable though. i don’t wear my headset for longer than 4 hours max, do you think i will still be affected
can't speak for comfort seeing as i am also looking at getting these but on amazon the SE is actually 5$ cheaper than the non-SE. just thought you might want to know.
Josh Pill i got the headphones a few days ago and yes they are a bit uncomfortable but it doesn’t really affect me since i don’t wear it for long hours. i can see why ppl find it uncomfy but i like them still
@@chloel2686 cool, I think I'll hop on the SE while they are still 160
Hey do you recommend these for using it as gaming and streaming mic.
you could just watch the video
Gear Seekers that still didn’t answer the question, for this price point you can get a headset and a usb microphone.
@@GearSeekers yea you just gave a very basic sound test of the mic. You didn't show what background noise might be like or clicks from a mouse or taps from a keyboard. so no you can't "just watch the video" for the mic
Ace Prolific I know I’m late to the comments but I’m debating buying this headset myself. But the SE version seems to be a complete waste. The mic is actually worse with the SE version so check out the cheaper version of this. Only differences are the smaller (but better mic), glossy rather than the brushed metal, and no pouch to take
@@GearSeekers you could just answer the question
Logitech g pro x or corsair virtuoso or hyperx orbit s ? Please help me I am so confused 😕
I've been using them daily for about 4 months and I completely agree they are just an ok headset. I do not think they are worth what they cost. I bought these expecting the latest and greatest wireless headphones on the market but got semi-comfortable, semi-good sounding, semi buggy, headphones with ok range. The only real good things about this headphone are the mic, looks, and battery.
Any experience with steelseries wireless pro?
What is a better wireless headset for $180?
Is it on ear or over ear?
@@ejtongol40 on ear.
@@zeroneutral seriously? I thought it was over ear
