- When I was a new to WoW my Out Of Bounds Exploration buddy told me about the smiley face under Karazhan and I even have seen screenshots about it to back it up.
Nonetheless I somehow managed to never get there myself in all those years ever since - this changed now, and it is hilariously easy.
This is probably one of the earliest easter eggs in the history of WoW development and I am pretty certain that it was there even in the very early Alpha versions.
The video was performed on a 3.3.5a Private Server... let me know in the comments if this still works on Dragonflight :*
I also made a video about the Crypts under Karazhan for anyone interested: ruclips.net/video/Aw9e2t8JhVQ/видео.html
Edit: Someone from the Exploration Discord told me, that you need a thin Player model... like a human or nightelf female... in the video the geometry of my warped model used male orc, but this might work a bit differently on official servers.
This does not see to work in DF
someone told me a few months ago, that blizzard seems to have fixed this unfortunately, so it is a relic from the past, which can no longer be reproduced unfortunately :(
@@DrFrugal I just tried around a bit with it - you can still at least clip into the wall and see the smiley ingame if you Heroic Leap in the same spot! I imagine with good Heroic Leap placement, one could also still get in. Hunter pets also sometimes clip behind gates and you can control them with Eyes of the Beast there. By this point I feel it's impossible to securely explorer-proof anything in this game, haha
@@anevara1780 you can be very aggressive in your solutions, then even those approaches would be denied. I am just asking myself, why you would even do this... I found those little quirks like clipping somewhere, where I usually shouldn't be, always the most interesting aspects of digital worlds ^^
Go inside outgaardkeep and go out of bounds there's lots of cool stuff to explore
Once I have built my new PC (waiting for Ryzen 7950X3D) I will do a lot of videos about instances.
My old machine already struggles enough to make working on those videos a chore and the end result not perfectly smooth... stay tuned, those videos certainly are coming ;)
I've explored pretty much every inch of Warmanes icecrown server a few years ago
